Like if I had to rate the bosses on a 1-10 scale:That's the last I have to do. Just been putting it off because I know the endgame comes after. But I know what to expect from it on some level rather than wondering what monstrosity I have to face next and that fucking sucks.
Yeah butno loot which is the whole point!
Any tips for the Kass riddle where you have toshoot an arrow through two rings? I've been trying to stand far away, aim at the top one and hope my arrow falls into the bottom one but this seems more difficult than it should be.
Nothing's a requirement clearly as shown by this game. The question I ask myself though is if anything in BOTW better than the classic Zelda dungeon and the answer for me is no. The beasts are not better. The shrines are not a good replacement. So then why take away something that was the pinnacle of game design in the series, just for the sake of being different? Everything can work just the same in this game but with better designed levels and segments which dungeons would provide.
My dream game is this but mixed with the more directed gameplay sequences of past zelda games. Obviously using the new physics based mechanics.
Wait, what do they drop I've just been vaporizing them.
Amen.
If Nintendo, being impressed by the gushing praise BotW receives from critics and gamers alike, comes to the conclusion that the classic dungeons and focused, cohesive storytelling are no longer needed in the series, then I'm out. The shrines had some really clever puzzles, but sadly they were devoid of any charme or atmosphere. The divine beasts at least had different music but they also looked nearly the same (as did the bosses, just with different skins applied) and were much, much too short. Everyone of them pales in comparison to what previous entries of the series are offering. Overall I feel ALbW did the whole reformulation of the concept much better.
There is one that is more side on that worked for me, I tried that long shot and definitely made it but no deal so maybe you're doing the same as me? It's pretty easy.
There are many rings in the field. Find one where you can see a direct line of sight between two rings.
The dungeon bosses are garbage straight up. They look sorta cool and were cool for one bout, but man otherwise super disappointing. If they can take BOTW but actually do more and more varied dungeons with different boss fights it would so insanely be my favorite game ever. Right now I like Skyward Sword and others more.
It's hilarious that the first Lynel I encountered and beat in the game was the blue one. After that, all red Lynels are easy loot.
It's my new favorite Zelda game but i sort off agree i hope the hard mode dlc makes the dungeon and final bosses quite a bit harder.
Since this hard mode needs to be paid for i can't see it being just a hero mode lol the backlash would be insane it kinda already is that.
Increased/faster/smarter enemy and boss ai and more frequent attacks and maybe even new attacks would be ace. Plus some new survival elements for the open world would also be nice.
A very hard Zelda would be so cool. I certainly hope that mode somewhat delivers if so i don't mind the content of the first expansion of the dlc being a bit barebones. Because a hard mode in a zelda game is very cool sounding.
People here really kept trying to kill the Lynel during the shock arrow run? I only needed to get one-shotted by him once to figure out that I could just take the arrows and keep out of its sight.
well the blue ones do give out good shit
I got afrom one of them... Lmao. I can basically one shot any guardian in the game with this40x3 Savage lynel bow
I think already this game beat SS as my favorite Zelda and game in general but there are a lot of things I'd like to see in the next one. This is a fantastic base and if we got more real dungeons I would be over the moon.
Im not finished yet and I cant wait until the DLC.
The thing is, if you take this as a standalone ip it's a really good game. If you've played zelda before though you know what you like about the series and BOTW misses out on a few key things. It's ABSOLUTELY a fucking amazing game. I expect no less from Zelda and this is totally no exception. But when Aonuma said he feels they can do better? I agree. They can. And the ways they can do better are blatant.

If they dropped the bomb and remake zelda 1 dungeons in botw as dlc

Yeah the blue Lynel's loot is just so damn good. I still keep its sword, shield and bow up to now lol.
How would this even work in a 3D game? They'd be pretty lame by 3D standards.

Hey there's nothing wrong with having a preference. BotW is a fundamentally a different game than previous 3D Zelda titles and that inevitably leads to losing out on some things. Personally, I'm hoping some of the missing Zelda aspects show up in the DLC.Skyward still by far has my favorite story, dungeons, bosses, etc. Those are huge things for me that BOTW absolutely pale in. It does other things better but I'm one of those folk that doesn't consider the world size and such that major a selling point. I prefer the tighter environmental design in Skyward a lot more than just a big world. Luckily the world here is handled much better than most open world games, but I can't help but feel it's way too big and lacking that Nintendo polish in terms of pacing and other things.
Man this little professor doesn't let me take a counting picture of her, she says I have to center it and yet I opnened my Sheikah binouculars and have centered her many times taken pictures and she still wont accept it, anyone please help.
Where can I find blue lynels? I've seen regular and white ones. Not blue
yep, and lynels are actually fun to fight, they're way harder than guardians ( that you can super easily cheese)
now if only this game had darknuts... that wouldve been a damn nice enemy to fight
I think if this takes off well enough, there's no going back. There's plenty to improve upon, but this is kind of a new standard. I'd personally be disappointed if they went back to the old ways.i really love the puzzles and concept of the beasts. putting link inside something where the beast itself is part of the puzzle is pretty damn neat. the shrine stuff ranges from simple to great. and i actually appreciate some of the motion control puzzles. when i played skyward sword, i felt like it was a massive oversight not to have more creative puzzles that revolved around motion controls.
thing is, i don't think you can do botw twice. making another hyrule that's enormous and explorable to your heart's content just won't work - so i think there will be a return to the formula with the next one, but it will keep some of what worked in botw.
Everything you need is there ;-)Goddamn Akkala Toweris there no way to kill the malice? I already shot one eye.

check the coliseum ruins just northwest of the great plateau. wasn't expecting to see one there, so it was a nice surprise and a good fight.

I think you guys demand too much out of this game lol. There's a reason why it took a really long time and several delays just to get this game out of the market. I'm all for something more, but there's always a next time and a next game or maybe the DLC, and with BotW's critical success then Aonuma and company will surely use this as a base and improve the formula going forward.

Will they though? I can see them continuing the physics stuff, sidequests and open world. But every Zelda game has a unique hook. Here it was the wilderness, open world, exploration etc. That might return, but don't expect what you really like to make it in every game going forward. It really depends on which world they create for the next game.
