Don't get me wrong, it doesn't carry the same amount of baggage as the Confederate Flag, but it should absolutely raise some eyebrows and it's just the most embarrassing thing for anyone calling themselves a professional to unironically use as a representation of themselves. It's basically a declaration that you haven't aged mentally since you took middle school history and nobody picked you for dodgeball.

I mean that's pretty consistent with how he carries himself.

- Immature people who never developed mentally past a certain age double, triple down and never ever admit they're wrong. It's why Trump is the oldest manbaby on the planet and why there's the idiom that it takes a big person to admit they're wrong. This requires introspection and is generally something that people obtain after maturing. Colin is a master of the double/triple down.

- From since I could remember dating back to even Beyond, his preferred method of presenting his opinions is to present them as facts and to tell people flat out he's right and they're wrong if they disagree. Presenting opinions in a convincing manner is difficult because it requires a give and take, and almost always requires concessions, with a whole lot of supporting evidence. Immature children typically don't do this because it requires quite some analysis and logic. This is why there is so much essay writing in school to try to develop these analytical skills and force kids to support their claims in long form writing and anticipate opposing arguments.

...forget it. I'm done posting it. You can search my post history and find it 20 times in the last week. His comments on PS I Love You saying that blacks and Native Americans don't need white people defending them. That's racist. Period. You might not find it offensive. You might agree with him, but the sentiment that "Each race is on there own out there and if you're not lucky enough to be born white, too bad for you...you should have thought about that before being born into an inherently racist society, then I guess you figure that out", is basically the racist version of "Fuck you, got mine":.

I disagree wholeheartedly

Stop looking for something that's not there

They don't need white America jumping up and being offended on their behalf. Its like the Redskins and like 90% of Native Americans not caring.

Not "offended". I didn't say anything about being "offended", I'm talking about defending minorities and marginalised people, which Colin wrote off as unnecessary. I don't view it as unnecessary until that shit is gone from our society, it is necessary.

lol how in the hell is that the "sentiment" that came from Colin saying that people don't need to be out there advocating for the ban of words such as "brave" from video games?

Dope. Thanks. It just seems like he quit because of this whole situation. I hope that there's more to it. But the timing suggests otherwise.

This is was just the breaking point. The way he talks and his politics create friction and attract an audience they don't want. Colin also said he wants to say what he wants to say without damaging his friends business. This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened (it is the most extreme) and it wouldn't have been the last.

You literally have no idea what youre talking about.

My god.

This is really one of the most misguided posts in this thread. You can probably find pictures of most things with a Nazi symbol, Confederate flag or naked sonic the hedgehog character added if you look hard enough. It does not make those two things connected.

Dude, I seriously can't stand Colin or his politics, but he's not fucking racist.

Look up his GOG topics such as Ferguson or the one on the Confederate flag and realise you're being an idiot.

Something tells me Colin was being VERY respectful of his colleagues and status, and now that he's been freed of the need to adhere to something resembling a presentable persona, we are about the see the real Colin in the next few days with who he "suddenly" aligns himself with and the causes he "suddenly" supports, publicly
Yea I also looked at it as him not wanting to go scorch earth with them since they all came up together and he views them as family. Can see the more political stuff rush out.

Yeah...that's not correct.

That's a lot of fucking mental gymnastics there.

I didn't say he's racist, but his comments on that show were. His comments on other shows were not. His sexist comment on Twitter does not make him sexist either, but it doesn't mean that the comment was not sexist. HThat is not enough to define a person either way, but it is still a more relevant topic of discussion than what a flag means.

Stop Being Racist - The GameOverGreggy Show Ep. 82 (Pt. 1)

Yeah, this attitude has always come across to me as a rightie who hangs out with leftie friends and doesn't want to ostracize themselves with their shitty views. Without taxation infrastructure falls apart for a start, and the only groups that would affect are the marginalized.

Rockefeller Republicans did exist but have basically left around the neoconservative movement in the early 2000s. Once the Tea Party idiots showed up, they all became independents or moderate liberals.

So, judging by the tone, he seemed to not appreciate people telling him to stop being such a beligerant person and decided to take his toys home.

Good riddance. Will definitely subscribe to KF now.

Colin is one of the only "celebrity" people I'm aware of that actually admitted to being Pro Life up until college until he heard a debate about Pro Life/Choice and switched to being Pro Choice because they made a solid argument. He's not beyond changing his ways or method of thinking.

Have you read this thread? You'll find plenty of examples in here I promise you. I'm not "accusing", I'm stating facts.

What is your definition of racism and sexism? Forget sexism for a minute. You actually, seriously believe Colin Moriarty is a racist? I do not believe that. Some of the people in this thread have lost their minds. You guys need to calm down and breathe.

Your post here is telling of the culture we live in today.

If it took him all the way to college to get on the right side of basic human rights like abortion, he will be dead long before he begins to resemble a decent person.

Seemingly he is tacking towards the crazy now, not away from it.

He wasn't talking about ending institutionalized racism, disproportionate incarceration, or violence against transgender people. Those are all things you should indeed fight for and be proud that you do.

He said minorities don't need white people getting offended on their behalf.

It's ok to have context and nuance. This forum desperately needs to get over the self-defeating notion that you can shame someone out of holding a different opinion than you.

Enjoy your 8 years of Trump.

This thread has gone off the deep end? I don't like Colin, but I've never thought of him as a racist. A lot of you people should be ashamed of yourselves. God damn

I was using the scenario as an example that people can change for the better. You also have to remember that this was back in 2003/4 for him. How aware were teenagers back then about the pro life/choice cause? I'm only a year older than him and I don't recall anyone in my high school talking about that or being aware of it until I got to college.

I seriously believe that Colin Moriarty is a racist. This is the kind of person he supports.

Don't care for political talk but his insight on games was pretty good and gave a different view of it.

KF will prolly be ok in the end.

He said minorities don't need white people getting offended on their behalf.

Enjoy your 8 years of Trump.

No he didn't. Go back and listen to it again. I did, to make sure I'm not misquoting. If he would have said that I wouldn't have brought it up.

And I'm in Canada...and not enjoying watching this tailspin the US is in.

just for context, I was born a male and unfortunately have never had an abortion. but, if it took him this long to recognize his privilege, I don't care about his age or "that's just the way we did things back then." Racism is racism and I won't tolerate it in any form.

Please open his twitter feed and pick any tweet or retweet. Since getting fired, he's followed a few accounts of people who think that minorities are ruining the racial purity of America.

Your argument for Colin being racist.... is that he followed certain people? What.....

If he's going into politics he probably needs... to follow... a wide variety of people. I can't believe I have to even explain this. This is exactly what I mean. I'm not trying to be rude, but did you even think out your argument? What you just said makes absolutely no sense. Again I am sincerely not trying to pick out a fight but surely you can see what I mean.

And if many people here have actually listened to Colin instead of hearing one thing he said and pretending to know who he is, he has stated multiple times that he follows people and watches news from 'the other side' (ie the left) because he already knows his side.

Just look at the crazy shit that's going on of late, people smashing up a college because of a speaker, the left is becoming less and less what they should stand for.
Yeah a speaker who doxed people, indulged in racist speech, transphobic speech ,protected pedos, and advocated pedo relationships.
But it's the left that's the problem...

I seriously believe that Colin Moriarty is a racist. This is the kind of person he supports.

So his tens of hours of content that says otherwise now means nothing because he followed Jon? The fuck?

I can't believe i'm fucking defending Colin, but Christ on a stick, get a grip.

What the hell is going on in this thread. You people need to chill out.

This thread has gone off the deep end? I don't like Colin, but I've never thought of him as a racist. A lot of you people should be ashamed of yourselves. God damn
Relax guys. He might just be a racist. It's not a big deal. There are racists everywhere.

Our president is one. And I never thought of him as racist either! Imagine my surprise in the last two years.

While I don't agree with his politics his content was genuinely some of the best out there. The interviews on Colin Was Right recently were fantastic. Its a shame that he wasn't professional enough to keep his controversial political views out of his work/job. That said he seemed more and more disenfranchised with his position and what it required of him as time went on so perhaps this all for the best.

I seriously believe that Colin Moriarty is a racist. This is the kind of person he supports.

A follow does not equal support. I follow Donald Trump. I think Donald Trump is a horrible human being. It doesn't mean I support him. Stop acting like a child. Use your brain for a second.

+11111.

It's frightening how quickly people's thinking can follow right in the footsteps of the Nazis.

We will see for sure when he pops up again, and I agree this is the most likely scenario. Why it doesn't raise an immediate red flag is beyond me. Are you really not self aware enough to realize that maybe if the type of followers and think tank I'm associating with myself is so toxic I don't want to harm my friends that maybe that deserves some introspection? The other side is he is fully aware of this and the truth of the matter these younger talking heads finding success with the internet just realize how easy it is to be intentionally obtuse about their actions and just resort to the oldest of non-culpability defenses "it's just a joke bro". If you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas keeps turning out appropriate for these new age idols week after week.

No, the fact that he started following all of those people all of a sudden (hours ago) is basically the icing on the cake. You can see he's racist from the words he says and tweets. That's one of the reasons he's now out of work.

Definition of racism: a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.

Can you point to a tweet that shows Colin is racist?
