Damn it's not that deep. You're acting like everyone in this thread has been ravenously attacking each other, and we're all uncontrollably mad about Colin. That's not the case. It kinda has never been the case since this whole thing started.
Also the IBTimes article is terrible, even people who dislike/disagree with Colin in this thread have pointed it out. Using the one article about this that was terribly written as opposed to all of the others which were perfectly fine and accurate to prove some tangentially related point is silly.
Like you must see how condescending it is to ride in to this thread and tell everyone why they've *actually* been posting here.
Across the internet it has been pretty bad. I've posted in the thread a few times so I'm not riding in anywhere just sharing my extended thoughts after a day or two of it starting. Sorry you feel that's condescending but I wasn't directly quoting you or saying what I said directly applied to you.
I dunno how you check top posters in a topic, but my feelings are as I said those who are heavily involved in replying to nearly every post are caught up in a culture war, and its not that they really care THAT much about CM. That's my thoughts, I may be wrong, but I see it time and time again where topics like this hit so many pages. By the time you get this far in you're rarely talking all that much about what you were on page <=10 and it becomes more a catch all about society/behaviours in general. In other words there are lots of CM's around.
edit: I figured out how to do it
I would think anyone posting a lot has moved on from simply addressing Colin, to spending the majority of their time airing differences of opinions with other posters. Which is fine, but I honestly think that verges into the online culture war ~ As in it's posters airing grievances with other posters more than it is all of your posts being about how you disagree with Colin. It can be a natural evolution of conversation, but my point is that is how we get to 70+ pages. There's only so many times you can say Colin was wrong, good riddance, before you move onto debating with other people about why they might be wrong, and/or why don't they see things how you do? This isn't a governmental policy, it's Colin Moriarty, so yeah, I do think pent up frustrations about modern day culture/society spill into a catch all to produce a topic that has far more pages than nearly 95% of anything else that goes on on a messageboard.
That's just my observations and thoughts, not necessarily 100% truth. I may be wrong, but honestly, my brain does some jumping around to try and piece together how we do get so many pages. Again, not that there is anything wrong with having 70 pages, but one can try to summarize why. Of course KF is popular and has a decent amount of listeners, but anecdotally going on KF threads and this one, not many people on GAF were fans. Although the KF community thread did have a decent number of pages.
IBT Times: 'Colin Moriarty Resigns After Targeting
Women In
Racist Joke'
Is that meant to be an insider joke or does the writer not know how the difference between racist and sexist?

The longer they refrain from correcting a dumb title the longer I feel it's what I said. Riding on the popularity of this mini "war" to have all the CM fans swarm to Ibtimes rather than any other news site to check the title, moan about it and drive views and clicks up. Even those who don't like Colin will click that link just to take a look that is definitely the title they're going with.
Obviously, it's nothing to do with racism, but racism is such a toxic thing it gets blood boiling and shocks people. It gets Colin on the defensive and it gets his fans incredibly wound up, therefore clicks, comments and Ibtimes gets to the front of the pack of news sites covering this.
