No, every character with more than a few lines in Inquisition is a complete mess.
Not to mention the hamfisted main story.
It's nice that Inquisition was inclusive, but that doesn't mean the writing wasn't a dumpster fire on every level.

I doubt that, the model is definitely meant to look somewhat attractive:
It only really falls apart when she make those awful expressions. You're giving them too much credit there.
Why then is male Ryder such a spot on attractive replica and female Ryder is not though. Yes she looks ok at times but something is clearly off. Most people can see that.
The explanation that they just can't do women as well makes no sense to me. Wasn't true in past games, and by the looks of it people are creating perfectly acceptable female Ryders.
The create-a-characters are always worse than the presets. That has been cemented in the ME games since the first one.
Sure if you put in a ton of effort you can squeeze out someone that doesn't look offensive, but the visual fidelity drop and animation jank associated with custom characters were always a detriment to me in Bioware games.

Because the character creator is pretty crap.
Anyway... apart from the eyes, default FemRyder is a pretty good character model. It's just the wonky animation and unflattering lighting (there is a lot of this) that makes her look bad.

There arent presets in Inquisition though? Default femShepard was also made in the CC. I never liked default maleShepard and never used it.

I can't get over:
- the "reset and start animation" which looks like "come back from coma" face animation that's happenng in the first 0.5 seconds
- that stupid-ass smirk when Ryder is pulling herself up
I don't even mind the unbelievable physics of the push/ throw.
Yeah, and the majority of Inquisition create-a-characters looked like garbage. I probably restarted the game three times because of how stupid my character looked while animating/talking.

Inquistion had a lot of problems but looks weren't one of them aside from their awful hair.
Bioware really needs to hire people that know hair, because obviously noone at that company does.
I did that tons with my mass effect characters, but all my DA characters inquisition included came out fine the first time.

This is an unfortunate glitch as the animation in that clip isn't even bad. It's actually pretty good.
I decided to check this thread and the first thing I saw was someone posting a link from GG and even worse, you providing asinine and sexist speculation. Maybe look in a mirror and truly think about WHY you think a team would "intentionally" make a character "less attractive" over concerns that she's too hot. Truly think about why you think a team comprised mostly of men, would gather together, and think, "eh she's too hot, let's make changes." There were a few good conversations in Inquisition (mostly with Iron Bull and Solas), but most of it was sub-par I'd say. Real step down from Origins and ME 1 and 2. Andromeda seems another step down.
Inquisition reminded me of low budget generic fantasy stuff I read as a kid, like the DragonLance books. The overall plot was serviceable though. Andromeda seems like low quality YA novel level.
Also, although FF XV's plot delivery and pacing ended up being utter shit, the moment to moment dialogue ended up being mostly believable and surprisingly competently written!
We'll leave the gulf in animation quality off the table as not a fair comparison....

That's good to know. Seriously, what do you think the purpose of photoshopped images like that one are? Or the butt comparison on page 55, or a full willingness to believe that a company would hire someone with no experience to be a lead animator and thus, she is the SOLE person to blame for all the issues with the animation, or conspiracy theories that the women are intentionally less attractive because "they were too hot." Do you not realize how transparent shit like that is? Or what would lead someone to believe any of it is valid?
Wait for reviews and full impressions, it might still be more than fine. The game might also be improved after the worst kinks and warts are patched out, so jumping into it later on is also a possibility
