Mario Kart was never mentioned for this Direct....Obviously talking about Splatoon and Mario Kart.

I had an inkling we would get a direct this week.
Nice. Hope there is at least a surprise or two besides ARMS and Splatoon 2. A new Mario Odyssey or Xenoblade 2 trailer would be welcome.
Sure, but if it's over in 12 months, and they're not releasing another game, that's still not an astonishing situation for the game long term.
I'd rather they have some kind of monetization plan and then support it throughout the generation, unless as previously mentioned, they just intend to keep releasing new ones.
my left field prediction:
Square Enix won't mention DQ XI tomorrow, but there'll be an announcement during the Nintendo Direct.
Was wondering where he was going with this... Splatoon 2 is a new game and ARMS an new IP lol.Ah yes, it is clear that Mario Kart is among the two games being discussed here.

For the Switch version? There's definitely no way that Squenix is letting Nintendo have the 3DS details all to themselves.
I feel like that'll be saved for E3.Predictions:
- Spla2n
- Arms
- Ever Oasis
- Pikmin 3DS
- Smash Bros Switch
Don't forget that Pikmin 3DS game. Nintendo has those three exclusives coming to the 3DS still. That's not counting 3rd party...
Definitely want Deep Strange Journey, but there's also Etrian Odyssey 5, MHXX (I'm starting to doubt this one will come over... on 3DS), and Radiata Historia remake.

It's mainly a resource contention issue. For example, these people also normally make Animal Crossing.I don't really see why they wouldn't. The unit sales they make from it are not at all insignificant, so it can't be bad business to do that, right?
I think they'll save that for E3.We'll know for sure if Soraya Saga retweets it. If she does, then peace out!
Release Splatoon 2 first pls
Sorry. I meant to put Pikmin 3DS too. Also ARMS release for late May. Hopefully late June or July date for Splatoon 2.
Can your only 3DS announcement at this direct be that you're finally dropping the system, Nintendo? K thx.
Hm, the day before the weekly eShop update, eh? Virtual Console incoming!
No, I don't really believe this.
Thanks! I wasn't super into ARMS when I saw it during the reveal, but the more they show, I'm way into it!.
I don't think we'll be hearing anything VC related until E3, probably with more details of their online plans then.

Uhhh my minimum expectation would be a release date for ARMS.
No, I expect at least Arms date but probably both.
ARMS can be played with "traditional" controls.
Predictions:
- Spla2n
- Arms
- Ever Oasis
- Pikmin 3DS
- Smash Bros Switch
It is a legitimate sequel, but I imagine for some that's a problem, they'd prefer an in-name instalment or something close.I can understand MK8, but Splatoon 2 is a legitimate sequel.
It not like the whole team would be needed to keep the update train going. Also Nintendo is charging for Online multilayer this time... Probably because they keep to maintain and update titles like Splatoon 2 over the course of a generation. Don't hint they'll need to charge (much) more in addition to that. It's mainly a resource contention issue. For example, these people also normally make Animal Crossing.
That said, digital revenue from crates or whatever can also be very significant, so it depends on what route you want to take.
I can totally see the Smash logo appearing at the very end of the direct.Predictions:
- Spla2n
- Arms
- Ever Oasis
- Pikmin 3DS
- Smash Bros Switch
