Seems we have a real problem with time. What if it actually was today but something altered our timeline? What if in a parallel universe Nintendo presented Chrono Break and it broke the space time continuum? How else can you explain all these confused people?

Not sure, but I only realised I'd made the same mistake about 10 hours or so ago
In my case I'd looked at the date on what I thought was monday and thought "ooh tomorrow", but it'd crossed over the midnight line so I was actually looking at today's date... because my sleep times are messed up like that :3

I feel ARMS may be early June while SplaToon 2 is probably July or August.
Would be ideal if it was late May and then July but I'm not too sure

I'd almost argue you'd be crazy to not expect it. Remember what happened with splatoon and people weren't sure that'd have a single player initially

It's at the very least going to have a Smash-style 'classic' mode, probably more.
If Nintendo had even a bit of common sense they'd take inspiration from the Wii Sports Resort swordfighting game or the Nintendoland Zelda game, with your character automatically moving forward as they fight enemies, just with a lot more content.

I genuinely think at the time Nintendo was confident they were bringing Mother 3. Like the rumors have said now they probably moved it over to Switch. If it's the VC version it could be used to launch VC.

I wanna say that they expressly stated that there would be a singleplayer mode, but considering that this game is in some sense a "fighting game" as opposed to a shooter, that single player mode might take moreso the form of an arcade mode than a long story mode.
