The less detailed leak sounds "boring"/realistic enough to be plausible.
Yes, that includes a New 3DS Smash Brothers, which I'm not sure why people think is weird, especially coming from the company already doing New 3DS exclusive games with Switch versions (FE: Warriors).
The more detailed leak does have the Mario Kart bundle, which lends it some credibility, but the VC stuff is pure fan fiction, and honestly, a Mario Kart bundle isn't exactly the hardest thing to predict.

Hmmm. There isn't really anything outlandish. Gungeon launching today would be bad for my wallet though. Interesting idea for an ARMS fighter in Slapperback. Only 4.5 hours left, let's see if it pans out.
I know you said mainline, but as a broken record I feel obligated to mention I think most people disappointed in no recent great Metroid game did not play the Metroid Blast attraction in Nintendo Land, which is a love letter to Metroid fans and offers hours of diverse content.

I'm taking the list with a huge grain of salt, but I'm not sure I would call it fake based on that detail. Could be that Nintendo is pushing that content to DLC pack 1. It could also be a teaser for pack 2. If it was the latter, I don't see why they wouldn't have said so given the level of detail for their other "leaks" though...
Time will tell.
Yeah the expected ARMS splatoon 2 and 3ds games will be most of the direct, but i expect 1 new announcement even if it is just a teaser at the end of the direct.

I love this, even though I am 90% sure it is fake. It would be strange of them to announce a Direct focused "mainly" on Splatoon 2 and Arms and then not have much more info on either of them than a bunch of other games.
Though it would be a very Nintendo move to make amiibo for like every single Arms character lol
But they said Switch games as well as those two.
I get people are trying to prepare for the worst, but people are ignoring the actual words that have been given
Are you guys seeing anything at the link more than the DLC and VC info? The info stops for me after that point. So I figured if it were true those parts just weren't included.

It loads faster and has access to the Miiverse/main menu on a New 3DS thanks to the added RAM. I would not call that severely optimized.
I could have swore the switch presentation with odyssey was leaked, I saw pictures of the puppet segment of that one E3 direct on 4chan half an hour before it went live and I'm sure there was another one last year that was leaked in it's entirety?
If Smash for Switch has Ice Climbers, I can.
It seems like the kind of dumb parity stuff that I could see Sakurai actually bothering with... Don't want to leave the handheld players out! Let's make them buy the game again for some extra content.

This is what I'm thinking. Maybe even August for Splatoon, give ARMS some breathing room as a new IP.
FWIW I think it's worth noting this is a WW Direct primarily but evidently not solely devoted to showing those two games, and that nearly all previous WW Directs have had at least one new game announced. So I would expect a new game announcement today. Hopefully!

The New 3ds Smash leak sounds quite realistic and good. Get a new Smash, Kirby on 3DS. and a few smaller things.
The 80 VC games on launch leak...come on people. If that happens, then I'll feel like my life is a lie. Or something...I dunno.
I really hope that Smash New 3DS is real since if it is, it means they wouldn't go through the effort unless it was a full sequel. I already expect it to be a full sequel but this would confirm it!

It actually kind of makes sense to me in a way. It solves the issue of "how much 3DS stuff would the Switch port contain" and with a New 3DS port, it solves that problem with the answer of "none of it"

ARMS in June; Splatoon in August is what I expect. Anything else is setting yourself up for disappointment, but I'd love to be surprised!
There's no way it's going to be a sequel this soon or on the same line of systems, it's going to be an enhanced port like MK8.
Agreed! But weird and silly are hallmarks of Nintendo decisions at times. For better or for worse.

BTW, the 04/04 4Chan leak notes a MK8 bundle. But the newly leaked bundle shows no Joy-Con wheel like the leak says, right?

Is the leaked bundle confirmed for anyone other than Russia? I would be surprised if they bundled it in the West or Japan that soon.
Only reason I don't see August happening (unless it is early August) for Splatoon 2 is that Nintendo will want the game to have summer as a time for Splatfests while kids are on vacation. Guess we'll know for certain in just a handful of hrs.

I'd honestly see it more akin to a "third version" ala Pokémon Emerald. Basically the same, but with a good bit of added content. I'd expect Inklings, Ice Climbers, maybe Spring Man.
I'm in the Memorial day weekend camp for ARMS, and Splatoon 2 about 3 weeks later, so mid-late June.

Heck... My wallet can't handle that 04/04 "leak" at all. I'd have to ditch my plans for Project Scorpio and just focus on my Switch this year. Though I'm kind of debating that anyway.

That leak is so fake. We aren't gonna get so many games announced. That "leak" has over 10 new games announced. We barely got that many at the hour long Switch reveal conference.
If it's too good to be true, I remain skeptical. I'd love for it to be true, I haven't gotten anything VC-related since the Wii and stopped at a certain point, so I'm excited to get back to the classics.
No confirmation on that yet, but I would be surprised if it was Russia only.
And yeah there's no wheel in the leaked bundle.

There's a difference between places hosting live events having people photo the setup and digital events being leaked. There has been one leaked Direct. One.

Well, considering the relative ease of porting that we've heard about, I don't think that's TOO bizarre. Though that is the only thing that really stands out to me.
One thing's for sure: SOMETHING is dropping today. Question is: what is it?
I think Nintendo knows that the Switch needs to have constant momentum going forward. I don't think that many announcements would be a bad thing. Besides, most of the new things mentioned in the 4/4 leak are third-party or indie.
