More of an E3 thing but my dream:

I've wanted a From Software developed Metroid ever since playing through Bloodborne. They have such talent for creating beautiful interconnected worlds that reward exploration.

Yeah....If we get another 3D Metroid it's probably gonna be developed by a third-party dev, not by Nintendo themselves.

My Predictions:

ARMS: At least 3 new characters are showcased, plus some new arms. The story is loosely described. Game Modes besides 1v1 are described as well. Demo after the presentation, launch in mid-May. Spring Man and Ribbon Girl amiibo that unlock something cosmetic.

Splatoon: A new class of weapon is revealed, plus more details on single-player. New maps and gear are shown off too. Releasing shortly after E3.

3DS: Something that has no reason to be 3DS exclusive and will never come to Switch for unfathomable reasons. Many tears will be shed. Also, details on Ever Oasis and Pikmin.

Virtual Console: "We're still working on it." First games will be released in early May. $1 upgrade fee for titles owned on 3DS or Wii U.

One More Thing: A small Switch title along the lines of Snipperclips. Has great emphasis on local multiplayer. Surprise launch on Thursday.

If the bundle is real and retailing for $350 why does everyone seem to think the console is being discounted and not the game?

I look at it as $299 for the Switch and Mario Kart being discounted $10 as part of a incentive to buy the bundle pack.

Other M was a colaberation with Team Ninja and Federation Force is a spinoff by Next Level Games. NLG is of course internal.

The last internal mainline games were Fusion and Zero Mission if we disregard the Prime series.

We haven't really got a Metroid developed by Nintendo (especially their Japanese devs) in a very long time. I feel like it's time they made the new Metroid locally.

If they did I can only imagine it would be a 2D, nothing wrongwith that of course but I can't see them making a big 3D Metroid game especially of how they had the games outsourced and turn out...crap.

The last two Metroid games that were developed mostly/exclusively by internal Nintendo teams were Metroid Prime 3 and Zero Mission.

Basically all outsourced games have Nintendo producers at the helm.

I'm unsure why we would come to this conclusion unless we are still going back and referencing some staff leaving in the mid to late 2000's. Retro studios has since hired additional people including people who worked on franchises such as Uncharted.

I don't think that's fair. They haven't tried working on a traditional Metroid in years. Federation Force was a harmless spin off that came out at the wrong time

Highly doubt we will get any kind of new game announcement, maybe some indie game on 3ds, it's mostly going to be info on release dates for arms and splatoon 2, maybe some new content information at most.

I am SUPER excited for E3 info, nintendo have a great chance to drop the megaton several times this year.

But it also says Smash for New 3DS... which just seems like it would be the same as regular smash bros. 3DS.

Unless it has new characters like Ice Climbers that won't work on original 3DS, but it seems weird to even bother with a second version of Smash for the 3DS line.
