Nintendo Direct on April 12 (3PM PT, Switch/3DS, mainly Splarms)

There was nothing that exciting for me, but what were people expecting? They said they were focusing on 3DS, ARMS, and Splatoon 2.

They said they were focusing on Arms and Splatoon and people are mad that megatons weren't dropped?

Was always going to happen.

"We're talking about Splatoon 2 and ARMS."

I BET THEY LAUNCH 6 NEW METROIDS, F-ZERO, AND SMASH 6 (SKIPPING 5) AND RELEASE THEM SAME DAY

Yeah, that didn't exactly spur me to want to run out and buy a Switch. Splatoon 2 is the only thing I'm interested in. I've played Zelda and Mario Kart 8 on Wii U, and Arms looks very mixed.

E3 is going to have to be mega, but I do have high hopes for it.

wtf, the mainly splatoon and arms direct was mainly splatoon and arms?

I'm seriously concerned about Nintendo now guys, I think they might be doomed.

Seems they are going for more professional Directs now without cringeworthy performances and whatever. Positively surprised, and glad I still have my 3DS as my main Nintendo system!

Pretty disappointing direct. Wasn't expecting tons of stuff but was at least hoping to hear about a web browser or media apps or Virtual Console. Nothing seen here excited me.

E3 would be a better place to announce their online plans. Direct was fine, and i enjoyed the new quick format.

*announced days prior that Direct would be focused on Arms and Splatoon 2

*people mad that Direct focused on Arms and Splatoon 2

E3 is like 2 months away, why would they blow their load now?

I have a feeling if I search for this here I'll get back the first few replies of every direct thread.

Well I guess that was was was expected. Stuff we already know plus a whole lot of not much else for Switch. But of course they're holding the millions of high end third party games for E3.........lol.

Yeah, tbh I was bored and disappointed. I knew the focus would be Splatoon and Arms but was hoping for some better announcements. I think they're holding back for E3.

Mock the direct all you want, but Nintendo has a very strong lineup to continue momentum.
What were people doing in this thread until now? Did people hype themselves up for a Arms/Spl2n and 3DS based Direct? I was genuinely surprised by the amount of titles they announced but I kept expectations way down.

Wow. What a great Direct. Lots of Depth for ARMS, lots of ports to the Switch, including the biggest, Minecraft and a Horde Mode for Splatoon 2.

The Switch is going to be be the most used device in my house. Well, both of the Switches in my house.
