Recently got back into the game because of the Overwatch cross-promotion. Was finding it kind of hard to get into for a couple days since I wasn't having much fun with the characters I was trying (besides Jaina), and found I liked Sylvanas a lot less than I did when I first played the game. Decided to take Lunara around for a spin since she was on rotation and instantly fell in love. Really intuitive and powerful kit, and repositioning with her ultimate feels amazing. Kind of like playing a mix of Ahri and Twitch from League.

naventic actually looked like they had that for a moment and I was genuinely rooting for them, but kenma the that hard early game dying not once but twice in the early game and naventic just fell apart after that.

I guess they just have to lose in the crucible and then maybe zuna will put him down.

Just had a nice hanamura with Noray where I was playing Hammer and at first I was like "welp this map sucks for Hammer, I guess ill push forts? /shrug" and thats exactly what I did the whole game, half expecting to get flamed for not joining fights or pushing the payload, but I managed to sneak in both the top and bottom forts and that was enough to lean the match our way

Actually went 10-2 today, didn't get the weekend curse for once. Pretty much played all day, 2.0 is tooooo gooood! Finally opened all my boxes and ended up with 2700 shards. The new Diablo skin and Brightwing announcer are what I'm most interested in crafting I think. Managed to pull a Space Lord Leoric and Rexxar Raider which were the two other skins I wanted the most.

The first time it's after a couple of games. Every time after that it gets less and less til even leaving once will give you it and the penalty can get longer.

Missed this post earlier, but this describes how myself and several others I've played with or still play with over the years got into HOTS. A lot of getting into one of these MOBAs is finding the hero you fall in love with. In a game like HOTS, which has 66 heroes already, that can be hard to do and I'd imagine a good number of players don't find that hero in time before they give up.
I don't know what Blizzard can do to help that (probably nothing), but getting the right hero into the right hands is definitely important to retention IMO.

Since trying this for the Overwatch stuff I've been kinda liking it, but there are certainly aspects that I don't like. Is there any kind of sudden death at some point? Last match I had was approaching 25 minutes of just boring stalemate and it was a real drag. I just don't want to spend that much time in one round, but I guess it's endemic to the genre.
This is definitely an aspect that's very intimidating, just so many heroes. I've found a couple I like, but then I want to check out others. And then I'm stuck in a long match with a hero that just doesn't click with me at all, ETC for example in my last game, and it kinda saps the fun.

"The genre" is typically 45min to an hour per match tho, so 25mins, which is long in hots tbh, is well short compared to most mobas.
edit: I just realised what I should be doing to pass the time at work, is play AI games instead. Ill still get a bit of xp for loot boxes which is what I want from these games im not particularly paying atention to anyway, and I assume theres no afk penalty for AI games if that has to happen?
My HL so far has just been hilariously bad, to the point where I can't even be angry. Just random picks on our team even when a few of us are trying to strategize, almost instantaneous whining in-game, minute 1 "gg" calls. Then the guy who d/cs in and out for 25 minutes, finally connects, only to start making terrible calls and blame everyone else for throwing.
I think adding rank to the mix just makes people crazy. I've played a ton of QM over the past few days and don't remember much bickering at all.
I was just thinking the opposite. Support is fine but if your dps players can't contribute properly nothing on the other team will die. I've played support in all my clownshow HL so far and it's been a disaster!
I suppose you could actually make the argument for any role, lol.

So, you guys think that this GFE Zag on Braxis is legit or just cheese?
I've always wanted split push to be a thing, but I still don't think it's as good as solid team fight.
I think it's cheese, and the reason it works is just because Zag is such a strong 1v1 laner. I don't think it will take much longer for someone to figure out how to beat it.

I'm not sure I've understood what dread was talking about there. Can somebody explain this a little more clearly ?
I think he meant if you are ever going to juke besides a wall, juke on the opposite direction when crossing it or maybe don't go toward the wall at all to not restrict your movement as much ?

I'm giving this HOTS 2.0 thing a try, but the only quest its giving me is 'play 3 versus AI games'. On top of that, the quest doesn't progress when I actually play a game vs AI. Am I missing something?

I'm actually finding Probius super fun to play, I already have him up to level 6. I don't know how viable he is in competitive play but in AI's and QM's I'm actually doing very well with him, even getting MVP quite often. He definitely has a different playstyle, but as a specialist he might be my second favorite in the game now, just under Hammer for me.
His lvl 10 ability "weaponize pylons" brings a smile to my face every time I use it. A couple of well placed pylons attacking during a skirmish can really wreck a team, and the sounds they make are so satisfying! Couple that with a cannon and a pair of warp rifts detonating and Probius can bring a ton of damage very quickly on a bunched up group.
he's saying that goku is trying to dodge (going perpendicular) before he hits the movement impairing wall. he believes it's more proper to attempt the juke on deh q in the limited situation (rather than juking up like he does before he hits the wall, he should juke down when he is being blocked by the wall), since that is the most optimal time for dehaka to throw his q out; by putting yourself in that situation dehaka q becomes a lot more easier to predict

GFE need to get consistent, losing to No Tomorrow of all teams. Naventic is garbage which is a bit of a shame.
Genji is so much fun, played him to 5 and I'm starting to get a grasp on him. He's really a bit like a Zeratul. Complete with having multiple mobility abilities, good harass and blow up potential.
I'm preferring X slash for now as it gives me another escape/dodge/stasis effect. Forogt which tier but either 13 or 16 are trash talents.

I was just about to post this. Does anyone know how to fix it? I've played at least 4 AI games with no progress, and I haven't gotten a second quest in a week.

Team Liquid former Misfits have been a bit off ever since end of phase 1. Their perfomances has become real spotty but at the same time they've shored up one of their weaknesses in picking up medivh.
No, its a bug in the game. I have the same problem on my smurf, and may just restart to another account. You get locked with no dailies other than the Play Versus AI quest - and it won't ever progress, so you basically don#'t have daily quests.
It's been around for a while, and I'm sort of shocked that Blizzard didn't fix it - it basically breaks your account when it happens and there's no way to fix it.
