Sony has closed Japan studios due to shrinking Japan sales. Consoles generally don't sell well in Japan. They like handhelds. Psp was a success. If they were to do "IT", would they think vita was a one off mistake?

I wonder if they look at Switch and are concerned? I also think if the its a Vita 2, it will mean more support for Switch from third party devs.

Why even post nonsense like this?

I think Days Gone is going to be a much bigger game than the majority of GAF believes.

An open-world game set in a post-apocalyptic world that revolves around the protagonist mowing down hordes of zombies? Nah, that's far too risky a premise to work in the AAA space.

of course it'll be successful, from a commercial standpoint at least. gaf might be generally down on the game because it looks so ho-hum, but sony bend couldn't have pitched a safer game than days gone. it ticks all the right boxes.

i said i think square will show kh3 at the sony conference then it will be shown again on the concert that on the 14 with more details as for the 7 remake i don't think they go big there and go big at the playstion experince in december
Late response but I haven't been active. Nah if anything they will show something smaller at the concert on the 10th then a trailer at Sony. That would make more sense. Then they can release interviews during the first two days of E3 like what happened at E3 2015. And I think FFVIIR will be at E3 but to each his own I guess.

Games

Sony's first party games are better than Nintendo's and the Switch probably won't be getting any of the third party Vita games I liked like Digimon, Ys or Danganronpa.

Vita first-party support was half-cocked at best. No Gran Turismo. No new God of War. Nothing from Naughty Dog. None of the marquee first-party published PS3 and PS4 efforts by Quantic Dream, FromSoftware, and others. Nintendo had their A-teams working on 3DS software, while also seeing Wii U through to the bitter end. From a first-party perspective, it's hard to get excited about the idea of Vita 2 when the Vita was dropped like a rock.

When bloodborne 2 shows up:

Of course, just look at how much Wildlands sold, a lot more than many GAF darlings from this year.

It's not the same, Days Gone is a single player story based game, Wildlands sold well because playing online with your bros together is the hot shit right now, nobody cares about the story or anything, it's sold so well only because of the social aspect.

A single player story based game with zombies. It just needs to be moderately good and it will sell to the masses.

I think there is quite a bit of potential in the systems they have in place.

You can never know, maybe people are tired by zombies at this point, though I do like that this is WWZ kind of zombies, fast and in hordes it's different than previous zombies games.

With the right marketing DG should able to do good once they get the gameplay down .
It got zombies ( don't think people will ever get tired of them lol ) .
Gameplay looks different compare to other zombies games and it open world.

Peeps still talking about days gone as if it's just about fighting that horde (a tech demo really) mostly. We've hardly seen anything of the game yet, unfair to write it off at this stage.

Mhm, I think that is where the potential lies. They need to build some interesting stuff around that horde system. It won't be enough to just consistently confront a horde the way it was done in the demo. I want to see stuff like luring hordes into enemy camps like they talked about. I want to see weather significantly impacting confrontations. I want to see environmental situations. I want to see good level design that can play into an encounter.

All of that will determine if the horde system will be enjoyable. I also wonder just how big those hordes can get.

I wonder what new stuff Square could announce this E3

We already know the new Tomb Raider wiont be there, their Marvel stuff the same.

Maybe the new Hitman season?

We could see something from Crystal Dynamics assuming that their entire team isn't working on that Avengers project. That's a collaboration with Montreal, and they're rumored to be working on the next TR game. So, it doesn't seem unreasonable to think that CD could also have two projects in the works.

Aren they helping with the bill? If that is the case, its never coming to xbox,

Not sure. I wouldn't rule out an Xbox version but I think it's far more likely the following happens with FF7:R happens.

PS4 version releases. PC/Switch versions announced.

That makes up 95% of the interest in FF right there.

Maybe I've missed it but do we have any hint or leak from an insider about what we should expect this year? any big surprises or we should just expect a very solid show based on the already awesome games announced?

All we know so far is we'll be needing diapers.

Niiiice.

I know I might over analyze here but he said "some", I think it might be a niche title/IP but with a very dedicated group of fans, something like Syphon Filter or other forgotten Sony ips, very curious to see what it is and who can develop it since we know what every Sony studio does.
No we don't.

Will the switch even handle that game? They would have to significantly reduce the graphics etc to make it run.

You sir just made my day. Never seen this. Anyone wanna gif this small part?

I mean of course there will be night and rain in the game but i hope it's dynamic. Also the lighting looks great.

I hope this is just one stage of rain and it can go even heavier and then people use umbrellas on the streets etc.

So hype to see this game at E3.

One of gaf's insiders was talking on a Discord server that unless it gets announced as being delayed before E3, RDR2 Will show up at Sony's show including bundle announcements. I guess Sony locked up the Rockstar deal in 2013 when RDR2 began development.

Probably won't be Sony's but there's also the Far Cry Spaghetti Western that's getting a live action trailer but that would likely be at Ubis conference along with the Assassin's Creed. So that and the 2 PS4 game reveals at the end of the month is all I've seen posted.

If anything, CGI, but even for that chances are pretty slim.

Yeah. Cyberpunk 2077 was my second most anticipated at E3 but from what was posted here about everything 2016 and prior being scrapped and a new creative director, I doubt we'll see anything.

I wonder and hope Rockstar takes the Figueroa hotel for some RDR2 art.
