I wouldnt say they could come to the rescue. Just they toss some money around and sign some deals.
Like, if FROM was on one stage this year announcing a new exclusive and I was a betting man. I would bet it being at Xbox just so Phil can fill in the blank spot on the spreadsheet Scalebound left.
Announcing FF7R for Xbox day 1 would be a easy pop too but outside of the E3 reveal we already know how well thats gonna sell on Xbox. Feels like a announcement for the sake of a announcements.
Or even outside of japanese. Another Rise of the Tomb Raider deal. It didnt work out well for Titanfall or Tomb Raider so I got to wonder what 3rd party pub is up to ride that ride again but you never know. I just know trends and when MS wants to make a splash they have historically done it by going "that game is only on our console now" or "that game that was only on PlayStation is now also on Xbox"
Personally would love it if they announced a new 1th party IP from one of their mega studios ala Naughty Dog and TLOU but they seem so gun shy for new ideas over there. it bums me out.

There is so many right things happening with that BB2 fan art.
Because that picture Id say would be the perfect and most welcome change in aesthetic and tone for a Bloodborne 2.
And aside from that, let us have a livid, female protagonist that interacts more with the world around her and with the player. A voiced protagonist would be a nice challenge for From Software.
Like, my fucking god at the possibilities with that pic. It represents everything I'd want from a Bloodborne 2 sequel.
Somebody please be a saint & show this to Miyazaki and Sony Japan Studios.

They had a deal with FFXIII and Versus XIII. Deals with Square dont exactly seem water tight.
But who cares. It will sell 1/5th the copies even if it had Xbox co marketing and exclusive bundles. We have nearly 20 years to know how well thatll go.
Anyway back to Sony.
Think they do another God of War demo or just do a trailer? After the big demo last year I would guess maybe GOW just gets a big bombcastic trailer then is on the floor or behind closed doors to play.
With Days Gone though I think maybe you do another stage demo because that game needs to win people over after that boring reveal last year.

Here's the thing about MS, deals and speculation:
It happens every year. And nothing really comes of it. It doesn't matter that Scorpio is getting revealed this year, the Xbox division does not have a war chest or a crazy budget to work with.
MS isn't writing a cheque to any JP dev and I'd honestly be utterly in shock after the Platinum debacle if JP devs weren't super apprehensive towards MS and just didn't backed off.
Just imagine how much money MS would have to chalk up to get a FROM game in a post PC Souls and post Bloodborne sales world.
Also, FFVII:R is first on PS4. MS isn't announcing that day one. I don't think something like that has ever happened unless cancellations or long delays were involved.

Don't forget about Ace Combat 7. I know it technically isn't a PS4 exclusive, but it's been showing up a lot to the PSX events, so there's still a good chance we may see it there. They'll probably bring it up during the PSVR talk.
My dream for after they talk about Ace Combat 7 is to drop that the PS2 trilogy is coming to PSN remastered in HD with trophies and such.
Or even better: They announce that Ace Combat 5 is getting a full-blown remake with the original voice cast, more missions, and everything. My dick will simply go to the sun.

As I said before, I expect another deal to have a fighting game exclusive to PS4, they've been really heavy on making sure PS4 is the best console for fighters by far. Only thing I can think of is Virtua Fighter 6 though. I doubt they could get Soul Calibur and even if they wanted to they'd have gone after Tekken I think.
Honestly a new Jet Li Rise to Honor would be fantastic. lol
I expect them to be on the level of the last two years though. They have all the momentum now with WWS firing on all cylinders and big leverage on 3rd parties.

Is there going to be much for VR? My one pet theory is that Rez 2 is going to going to be the big new VR PS4 game. Area X in Rez Infinite was phenomenal, and the advancements in gameplay and graphics make me think (perhaps naively) that it is pointing to a Rez 2 like that.

I agree that there is a high chance of another fighting game reveal. And while I certainly don't think it'd be an exclusive game, I could see the possibility of Soul Calibur VI getting revealed alongside the announcement of a PlayStation Exclusive guest character. (With other platforms and their guest characters getting announced a little later)
Now that you mention it I'd love to see some gameplay on the bike, since they said the bike would play a big part in the game.

It would be interesting to see a Days Gone trailer in the vein of Detroits trailer. That was a game that I really got excited when they started to show off the various different scenarios mid way through the trailer.
And given Days Gone' sandbox approach, it might be a better method of showcasing the various possibilities.

Yo, I'd buy the shit out of an attack on Cainhurst based side game. It's something I've always wanted From to do, there's soo many great stories in their worlds, but almost all them are ancient history by the time we find them. It'd be a nice change of pace too, instead of another full on Souls game.

Because, you cant play Playstation exclusive and AAA 3rd party games on the go using switch. PS Vita 2 is going to be a companion to real PS4 just like PS4 Pro which is powerful machine playing above 1080p and we expect PS Vita 2 to run games at 720p. So, sony wont fail with games as every PS4 game will run on it and will get similar success of Switch.

I mean we could do this all day. Sony flopped with vita, ok. Nintendo hasn't had a crystal clear track record either. As it stands, the PSVR has a much larger software library than the switch does currently, but that doesn't stop people from trashing on it either. If people want a Vita 2, whats wrong with that? It was a great handheld, software or otherwise, and if they made a sequel maybe they will have learned from their mistakes. Why come in to a sony thread and push the switch when people want more sony and then get offended?

I'm guessing at least one console SKU getting a worldwide new color release (probably a White PS4 Pro) and some new controller accessories for worldwide availability in late June. Hope they update that steel black controller from Japan with the new design and release it stateside.
Will probably just be a flyby, <2min part of the presentation either frontloaded at the beginning or just mentioned in closing.

Well the audience PS Vita 2 targeting is similar to PS4 Pro, its not a new platform and just a add on to serve the hardcore base who can afford it, and allows sony to expand its platform (gain more sales from indies otherwise might go to switch due to portability, and Japan like portable) or offer choice.
Because it's nonsense to push their WWS Studio to make handheld games again. Do you want ND, SP or GG focus on making games for vita 2? Sony first need to get all the their studios all board for Vita 2 to make it a successful device. I don't see ND will ever do that.
Also, I'm not the not bringing up Switch in the first place. And offended? Nope.

Then there's also that Capcom's plans include making sequels on a roughly 2.5 year basis. DMC4 Special Edition came out 2.5 years after DmC, and it's almost been 2 years since DMC4SE came out.
No one except fans and random people have said that DMC is dead.

Miyazaki gave us the most fluid and best combat he has ever created with Bloodborne. Accompanied with awesome animations that played differently with each weapon and it was fantastic looking at those animations in motion. It felt amazing controlling your character in this game.
The difference in quality from Dark Souls 3 to Bloodborne in animation and combat, its frankly, staggering. You can perform much more button combos in BB than in DkS3.
For example, Greatswords alone are vastly better in Bloodborne. From functionality and impact to how they beautifully swing in motion, how fast they swing and how they sound.
Miyazaki teamed up with Sony Japan Studios is a force of nature. And if we dont get these 2 working together on a Bloodborne sequel, its not going to live up to the high bar Bloodborne and The Old Hunters set.
Games
Sony's first party games are better than Nintendo's and the Switch probably won't be getting any of the third party Vita games I liked like Digimon, Ys or Danganronpa.
