Nintendo E3 plans detailed

If they announced Mario x Rabbids, Smash Bros Switch, and Pokemon Stars those will all be new announcements, just because they are rumored doesnt make them not new announcements lol.

Heck even Metroid is rumored, but there will be something we have no idea about

Would be completely fine with such announcements tbh especially Smash and Pokemon. Since i played Pokemon Gales of Darkness as a kid i always wanted a full mainline game on console.

I'm willing to bet the ONLY 2018 surprise will be Metroid or whatever Retro is working on. Everything else will be rumored stuff confirmed and stuff we expect.

I'm so glad you said this. If Pokémon Stars, Mario + Rabbids and Smash port gets announced don't be mad and say "oh they didn't announce anything we didn't know!". That's not how it works. New announcements are new announcements no matter if they've been rumored to come.

What if Sakurai is working on a new Metroid game?

I will legit explode. He bought a mech figure just for the blaster that came with it, it was for his next project.

So maybe...

Yeah if they are gonna tease anything coming it 2018 it probably gonna be something major.

Where's Mega64 :(

Guys, when you say that we know "everything" already, I'd just like to point out that the rumours are just rumours at this point and nothing sure. And anyways, is it Nintendo's fault that asshats leak their secrets?

If we didn't know about the Rabbits x Mario game, it would blow everyone's mind. Now it's just "ah ok, I heard about this". That's one of the reasons I don't like leakers at all. Why ruin the fun? It is different if they leak something that people need to know, like that Sony bosses eat little panda's every morning or that some workers have really bad working conditions. Ruining nice surprises is just lame. Rant over...

Was that Shenmue rehash knowm before Sony's moneygrab scheme? I mean, that got a lot of hype over nothing. "Give us money and you'll see the game in the next 10 years".

Cant wait to see more of the new mario game and xenoblade 2. E3 hasnt been too exciting the past few years so my expectations are in check, but still hyped!

This is like the first time ever I'm excited for a Nintendo E3. I think I'm more excited for Nintendo this year than even Sony's.

Please give me Pokémon for Switch.

Ice Desert area

I was under the impression that the ice-looking parts of the desert were sections of the level that have to be restored.

And I think the city level is DK-themed as a King Kong joke. Especially if that rumor about plane sections turns out to be true.

Along with Nintendo's press event, I hope EA, Bethesda, Square Enix and Ubisoft have something for the Switch.

Edit: I just remembered a port of Xenoverse 2 was a thing. Wonder if that releases this year. I hope thats not the only thing Bamco ports.

Sounds like we aren't getting a full-blown Nintendo Direct? The wording on the announcement seems kinda strange.

It's called E3: Spotlight instead of Direct and will focus on 2017 games. Seems pretty clear, and about as full-blown as it can be at present. TGS will likely have the goods.

Add Virtual Console news and you've yourself the best Nintendo E3 they could do.

Subtract half of these things and you probably have a more accurate prediction.

Hope we get more indies shown during Treehouse.

Also I'd like some dates for shit. We still don't know when games like Pocket Rumble, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight ect... are launching.

Shit will probably arrive on the Switch eShop around the Holiday season. That seems to be around the time when they will open the eShop floodgates.

Yeah well, Mario x Rabbids wouldn't have blown my mind even if I didn't know about it before its reveal.

*looks at avatar* Aren't you forgetting something important?

Unless FE Switch is coming before E3 2018 I hope they don't show it. Show other new games besides Fire Emblem.

I'm betting FE Switch is a summer release. So I can see them saving the announcement for either a November/December direct this year or one right at the beginning of next year.

Very disappointing. Looks like its exactly like last years E3 just with Mario. Big meh. Mario is great, and Zelda is great too but they need big surprises.

And again no E3 introduction video like 2014 and 2015? Why? Those were amazing. Looks like E3 continues to be irrelevant for Nintendo...

This seems fairly reasonable. I really also think we'll hear something Smash Bros. related. Nintendo seems eager to get their big multiplayer franchises out on the system early, I can't see Smash (whether a port or a new title) being released beyond 2018.

And I'm also still a BGE2 believer!

So.... do you have actual arguments that would add to a discussion or are you just one of these drive by posters?

Your post is much more of a drive-by, since you haven't even noticed anything on this very page.

They are focusing on 2017 Switch titles. You are aware that we know of many, many more 2017 Switch titles beyond Mario so far, right? And the fact that they say that's their "focus" indicates that we will see some 2018 titles too.

*puts hands up*

You got me bruh. I came in here to do my drive by posts and peace out. lol 😂

This E3 isn't like last year. They're having a video presentation unlike last year.

You made a ridiculous baseless assumption that e3 is only for Mario like Zelda was for last year. Your comment is something a typical hater would say to downplay the exciting E3 Nintendo WILL have.

So they're just gonna have Pokemon and Mario? Because that would be the only way it would be like last years.

I mean, they're clearly going to have more than just Mario. A cursory look at the press release can show you that

Lol you can't come in here with the "Looks like it's just Mario" hot take 14 pages deep and then complain about others not adding to the discussion. We already know of plenty things that they'll talk about that aren't Mario. Don't be obtuse then expect meaningful engagement.

Mario being called the "highlight" makes me wonder if Pokemon is this fall. I still think Xenoblade will hit in December, and hopefully that Rabbids + Mario game in September. Hopefully all of the smaller 3DS type games, like Pushmo or Mario vs Donkey Kong, start popping and peppering in there.

But I will hope for Stars!

Mario being the highlight for E3 means absolutely nothing regarding a new Pokemon release.
