I'm a huge James Masters fan tbh.
The entire voice acting in the game is sub par.
Rushed job + lack of context / direction I assume.

Kai's Latin America were low because they replaced the entire cast. Fans boycotted the show before it even aired. This really isn't a case of listening to your audience. This is a case, they changed it now it sucks.
May be me being pedantic, but "a freaking transformation triggered voice change" seems like a weird complaint. Super Saiyan Goku originally had a voice change in all versions, even the manga to some minor extent. The problem is that the voice change Schemmel went with is bizarre.
No but like, having a calmer or more angry voice is fine.
Getting a random pitch and random accent because of a transformation that changes your hair only, is preposterous.
And his Rosé voice isn't bizarre, as it should have been the default Black voice. The default Black is awful. Rosé is now awful because of the inconsistencies, but it would have been fine otherwise.

actually warmed up to the new Goku. I even like his ability to portray an air of dumbness in his lines as opposed to Castañeda's
The problem was that Gohan and Vegeta didn't even try. People's complains were always focused on those two, particularly Gohan after Vegeta improved a bit.
In fact,Latin Super dub is keeping some of the best Kai talent to replace some deceased/retired actors, and fans are OK with it.
Random voice changes are pretty common here, difference is that they always replace talented voice actors with cheap line readers. That's why fans get upset.
YuGiOh Bonds Beyond Time and Dark Side of Dimmensions were SHIT SHOWs here because of that

Yup, I don't have a problem with it in concept either. I just think the voices themselves need some altering.
That is where I stand as well. I truly believe the cast will be fine once they get good direction. It's just sad a lot of them had Xenoverse for their first outing. I remember Beerus and Whis' voices were criticized too in Battle of Z. I could see why because their voice were quite mediocre in that game.

This is around what I'm saying, but not exactly it. Super Saiyan Goku also had changes in word choice despite being not far from "a transformation that changes your hair only". The whole idea was that he seemed more like a villain in that form.
Schemmel's voice is weird not because it's drastic or it's linked to a transformation, but because it's a really fucking weird change. Especially the accent thing. British accents used to sound smart are kind of cheesy to begin with, but they're also accents. It's not something that comes from your physical form, it comes from the context you grew up with.
We can put aside that England doesn't exist in the Dragonball world and that the other gods don't have British accents, we can assume that voice changes can result from physiological or emotional changes that come with the form, but why would his accent change just because he transformed? It's like he transforms from evil Goku who just ate a bunch of rocks to Goku's British cousin.

Yep, you can tell the gigantic talent level (lol) gap just by listening closely to Torres' Version, she breathes heavily she gasps in disbelief to what Gohan just saw. And then let's out an effective angry scream.
Altamirano remains silent for the entire scene and then when she finally has to scream they decide to digitally extend the scream to comical lengths.
I will always defend Kai Goku, but this? Nevah.

It's top tier cause of the GOAT music. I've mostly seen DBZ dubbed and some of it in Spanish, never seen it Japanese, though funny enough it's the opposite with me and Super. Nothing but Japanese and I'm not really in the mood to watch this stuff again dubbed. Which is funny cause I have seen HxH both in Japanese and English.

It's funny because the first time I heard Zamasu I thought it was the worst VA I have ever heard.
But now that I know who he is, it was definitely lack of direction. There's no way Masters is this bad.

How dumb is it that supposedly Vegeta's shitty ki blast could reawaken majin buu, yet Babidi is on this years long quest to revive him. (he had no idea beings like Goku and Vegeta were there and Kaioshin states even if incomplete, Buu could kill all of them so lol)
Also, that entire dialogue is non existent in the manga. All of it.

If Buu isn't revived at full power, would that stack onto his next revival?
