Btw Android 17 can use Kaioken too is my guess. That's part of the surprise involving 17's power.

That's something you can only learn from Kaioh.

My guess is that he can either supercharge himself with others' help or he can absorb energy with his barrier.

With Super's lazy writing, it's probably gonna be " he can just power up and be stronger".

I originally didn't like Masako but she's grown on me quite a bit. Her version of Goku Black was great. Though I prefer Sean most of the time for Goku. And no one comes close to Kyle's Gohan.

I read speculation somewhere that they were going to sub out Tien for Golden Frieza, although i don't know if the source was completely speaking out of their ass.

Lmao, her voice acting is top tier

Yeah. I'm not even hardcore into anime at all or anything and I'm generally always going to listen to the original voices. Especially for main male characters in shonen

Edit: ehhh.... I love the YYH Dub and would never take the original over it. I need to let it go that some people prefer the Funi Goku voice to Goku's original voice

Update on my progress:
Black
just entered the series.

Yeah, seen a bunch of stupid crap about Freeza coming in for the fight and I'm just like what?

Yeah, it sounds like complete fanfiction since, honestly, there's no way something like that could ever happen in Dragon Ball. Especially with all of the promotional available that show us the final 10 warriors for Universe 7.

It sounds like Youtubers clickbaiting the hell out of viewers with absurd titles like 'Frieza is the final U7 fighter', coupled with misleading thumbnails like a Golden Frieza.

I like Nozawa. Her Black was spot on. And Goku isn't interesting if he's played straight, so I like the squeakiness. But her "atatatatatata" is just repetitive. Piccolo's JP VA said that he would look for random things in the recording studio and yell their names when he was stuck for battle grunts. Nozawa needs to learn that technique.

...But while we're comparing, <3 Faulconer.

Throw me in the 'dislikes Masako' camp.

Not personally of course. I'm sure she's a rad ancient.

I think the afro thing she has going on sometimes automatically puts her in "cool grandma" territory.

spoiler about who is out and who is going to replace him:

boo falls asleep, and they recruit frieza

Nozawa's Black was amazing, it'll hardly be topped. Yeah, her Goku can get repetitive and stale, especially now that we have Gohan appear more often in the series, as he basically has the same voice as his father now (with slight changes here and there), but I'm already used to the voice and I like her job.

As Ultimate Gohan ascends like a shooting star toward a head on collision with his father in Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken form, an explosion is felt around the world. At Bulma's house, the Gods and co. are taken aback by their power, but none moreso than Vegeta, who looks to the stars in surprise as he feels in the distance, the arrival of yet another ki far greater than his own.

Wait

I mean, yeah, we always talk about how many of Goku's enemies become friends and all but I've seen so many GodTube YouTube videos talking about this and they're all citing each other or the same "reliable source" I'm just tired of it and almost want it to be real so we can get a move on.

And then see him freak out that Vegeta taught another universe's Saiyan how to do it who then taught a bunch of others and he has no choice but to give in and be nice.

And then next arc he is taken over by an evil force meant to revive Cell by making everyone spend their energy, but it turns out he did it on purpose to resolve his grudge against Goku. Then Goku shows everyone he learned SSG2, Vegeta does the same, then Goku is all "well, actually" *SSG3 Blue*

I agree, if Black was made just for Nozawa, it was a worthy narrative endeavor.

He didn't. Yamcha gave him a tough fight and Tien even admitted that Yamcha made him work.
If I'm misremembering, he only thought about it to himself. Maybe you're thinking of the Krillin vs Piccolo fight in the 23rd?

Remembering that fight, Tenshinhan also has that "Rebound your kamehameha" technique that requires Naruto-like seals. He's got a few forgotten techniques that could help in the Tournament of Power.
