Oh! See more social hubs on planets. That gets me a bit more excited. Hated the limited amount on Destiny 1.
Name one MMO or MMO-like that launched with more than 1 raid. I'll wait.
It makes no sense to launch with more than one raid for various reasons. You want your endgame players preparing for and learning to clear one raid, not splitting them into multiple raids at once. It's just not feasible.
It's a very iterative by the book sequel. I was expecting a bigger scope and ambition, something like how they envisioned the original Destiny. So far it looks like loads of Destiny 1 content in a 60$ great value package.
Pretty much what I'm waiting for, more details on the single player portion of the game. This will decide if I pre-order or skip this game.
WoW, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King. Aka best MMO ever.
My larger point being -- why heckle at all? Like, I didn't enjoy the last few Call of Duty games......therefore I am not in the CoD WW2 livestream reveal thread talking about how underwhelming the game is. I don't run Android, therefore I am not in the Galaxy S8 reveal thread mocking that phone.
Destiny is just a really weird lightning rod for people's snark, after all these years.
Wasn't there some severe limitations to the D1 engine? I recall issues with them wanting to change certain things and the rumors were always the limiting engine. This can't be a new engine...
What did Wrath of the Lich King launch with besides Naxx? I don't remember.

Yep -.-Snipers/Shotguns are now Heavy Weapons?
It sounds like once again they are happy to screw up the PvE game for the sake of Crucible balance, which puts us off to a bad start IMO.
I'm not (yet) convinced by "Guess what, everybody? Go straight to your next destination, not to orbit first!" The problem was never the delay between your current location and orbit; it was the delay between orbit and the next destination. You can pop through the "going to orbit" part of it in just a couple seconds. I'm not going to clap until I know they've significantly reduced the wait to populate into an instance, orbit first or not.

the fight with Onyxia and that one you had to do world pvp for.

- The areas are much bigger with more people
- "Adventures" that include finding treasure when exploring, using treasure maps
But that's what you got. Both the story and gameplay has a bigger scope and ambition.
There is no Intellect, Discipline, or strength. Universal cool downs.

Only Destiny GAF people allowed in Destiny threads sounds reasonable /s
Comments that aren't glowing praise aren't all heckling/trolling/pointless negativity/etc
I dont like the new weapon System, why should I use a shotgun or fusionrifle if I can use a grenadelauncher? And two primary, who thought this is good.. This really hurts
Obsidian sanctum and Vault IIRC
the fight with Onyxia and that one you had to do world pvp for.
Has it come out if they increased the amount of players in a zone?
The more info coming out the more my hype dies. min maxing for T12 with the right reload perks etc gave the first destiny a lot of replayability for me. this is terrible news for me. i thought they would've expanded on character building if anything.
i went from being a supernova of hype to now being just

I don't mind this but it makes me wonder how armor will impact your character build now.The more info coming out the more my hype dies. min maxing for T12 with the right reload perks etc gave the first destiny a lot of replayability for me. this is terrible news for me. i thought they would've expanded on character building if anything.

Sounds like they are dumbing down the stats system... hmmmmm...
Both the story and gameplay has a bigger scope and ambition.
Very much agree. Their choice of words were unfortunate. Its exactly the things they have said over and over for expansions.Edit: Them saying things like "A new map!" and "A new raid!" didn't help either. You don't point out things like that in a numbered sequel, you point that out in an x-pack, or patch notes.
Maybe, but as I've said before in previous D2 threads, the Discipline, Strength and Intellect stats were not compelling whatsoever. Most classes just went for Discipline and Intellect and then they didn't have to think about it ever again. There was no customisation. It was just another useless addition that served no meaningful purpose.

So what should a sequel be?
FIFA17 is more like FIFA16.5, right? Same teams, just some tweaks.
Uncharted 3 was more like Uncharted 2.5. Same game, same characters - just a few new locations.
Don't get me started on COD - the last one was more like COD 4.354 AT BEST!
Forza Horizon 3 - nah. Horizon 2.4.
What is it with Destiny and GAF?
Do we know that? They've said so, but I don't think we've actually seen it yet.

Yep. They did use some expansion-speak there. That's a good point.Very much agree. Their choice of words were unfortunate. Its exactly the things they have said over and over for expansions.
So those are impacted directly by gear instead of abilities? Cool. I like that a lot better. Now you have Armor, Agility and Recovery instead of the old stats.
