Patty's gotta get cracking on my Wonder Woman 2 with Circe as the main villain.

I love Kal, but he can rot.

WW is not a quipfest. Plus, it looks like an actual movie and not a TV show. It's biggest influence is Donner's Superman, which means DC must learn from DC.
Marvel movies aren't just a "quipfest" nor do they look like television shows in a denigrating way.

Also, television shows look great these days. Twin Peaks, Fargo, Breaking Bad. They look better than a great deal of movies out there.

There were rumors of the Wonder Woman production/editing being a mess a few months back (last fall?). Does anyone remember the website that was passing off those rumors?

We should keep a checklist of who's making things up. Especially since we had that interview last week talking about how little was changed from final script to final cut.
I agree with this.

A few things. First off, weren't there rumors that this movie was a mess and in trouble? Second, is this movie good because Warner finally took a back seat and stopped meddling or because no Snyder or both?
There were but it's gotten to the point that announcing those rumours brings plenty of traffic to your site/thread. Take the recent JL rumours about reshoots and problems. Doing the maths, it can't have been true because all of the actors were working on other things at the time (hell, Affleck got fat and went into rehab right after filming).

How do you wrote a good CB third act? Tjet only good one I remember these days was the one from Civil War. It salvaged the movie imo.
This has always been the dumbest criticism of Marvel movies.
Guardians looked amazing, but Civil War, Strange and SURPRISINGLY Homecoming look tremendously drab, grey, depthless and uninteresting. A shame!

I hope to hell I'm wrong.

Cavill could be the conversational, easygoing, lighthearted Superman easy. I would love it.

I just don't know that anyone there can figure out how to get that Clark to show up in these movies after all of...

of that.

Make justice league an Injustice movie, transport to universe where superman doesnt suck, good superman beats shit super man, DCCU stays in new universe abandons old. Ya welcome DC, I'll take my check.

Ant-Man has an awesome third act. Like, that's a top tier blockbuster third act as far as I'm concerned. Jesus, was that fun.

Sad!

The dirty secret here nobody will want to acknowledge is that Zack Snyder produced the thing, and was heavily involved in breaking the story. Patty Jenkins may be a better director across the board, but it was the script that made the difference.

Between this and what we've seen of Justice League, I do think somebody at Warner Brothers has listened and Snyder is getting out of his own way. I doubt JL will be as good as this, but I do think it has a good chance at being at least better.

I think we all need to remember the alleged leaked synopsis of this film that claimed that the entire movie was framed through Wonder Woman's email in BvS.
I can see why the leaked synopsis thought that, because I think we are supposed to infer that Gal Gadot does send Bruce an email explaining this backstory. Thankfully, the stop just short of actually showing her do that.

I like that you ignored my mention of "heart and humor" as well as multiple reviews comparing this to Captain America: The First Avenger to drop the "quipfest" line.

It's okay to be influenced by both Donner's Superman and the MCU, which is clearly the case here. There's nothing wrong with that.

But I fully realize you'll never admit that, being you and all. :P

Edit: Oh god, I didn't even notice your "TV show" nonsense when I replied. lmao.

I can say they're influenced by Tarantino movies. Marvel aren't the originators.

So it was never a ploy to bring the DC Universe down? People actually thought the other films were bad, who would have thought.

Finally, DC, will be going to see it this weekend very excited.

A DC film doing well with critics? Well, Homecoming's fucked then :P

Seriously, glad to hear this is good. Planning to see it Friday morn

Ant-Man has an awesome third act. Like, that's a top tier blockbuster third act as far as I'm concerned. Jesus, was that fun.

Because they kept it relatively small scale (jeez the pun) and focused whereas most third act blockbusters are like "fuck what do we do now? Fuccck do everything!"

Jesus Christ, Ahasverus. Could we keep the nonsense anti-MCU stuff out of here? You and I both know what you're saying is ridiculous.

I'm just so happy to see that there is now 3 great superfilms released so far (in my personal opinion).

Logan
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Wonder Woman
