Moana was alright.
And Fast Five is brilliant. But they're the exceptions to the rule.
Moana was alright.
Tatum would be a great choice too.
Edit: Is Gambit still happening?
He said he was surprised to see the reviews so high and that he was even more hyped. I was trying to temper his expectations (I generally end up disappointed if I go in too hyped for a movie). Masterpiece is just the word that came to mind I guess. I didn't know others were using that "not a masterpiece" phrase a lot. For what it's worth, my overall opinion of the movie is that it's a strong and touching origin story that left a smile on my face. What's with these masterpiece posts?
This is where I point out that Rock's movie quality outside of Fast & Furious is sketchy as fuck
People treat IMDB scores like they are exam scores.
I still don't know who thought a Gambit movie was a good idea at all.Yes? no? maybe?
as of January, it was supposedly still in the works, but that was awhile ago and afaik there hasn't been a newer update.

"File not found" is the new "Citation needed."
edit: ah I see now
Gal Gadot? Vin Diesel? That doesn't mean anything these days. You can make anyone work if you try hard enough.
$4 ticket and I can't go to the Alamo Drafthouse:/
I don't know a ton about Shazam, but from what I gather the character is oftentimes more-or-less Big, but a superhero right?
If he wasn't doing Gambit, I genuinely think Channing Tatum could fit the part incredibly well and capture the inner 12 year-old very well. Dude's got some fantastic comedic chops.
I could totally see him pulling off moments like this:

Vin at least has Pitch Black and Find Me Guilty![]()
What can I say, except you're welcome?A strong and touching story ?
Well thanks for setting my expectations too high, you jerk.
If this film does well, hopefully it'll give Marvel confidence in Captain Marvel and perhaps will even encourage them to take more risks with it.
Along with their Phase 5 She-Hulk and Squirrel Girl movies.
What is "take more risks" to you?
C'mon OP, make the Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic text in the OP links.

Just come back from watching this movie. The only complain I can make is the god awful slow mo. You can say what you want about Jack Snyder but no one make action scenes to look as good as him, not even Michael Bay.
I like the mix between the depressing world of DC and the bright and hopeful hero ideology of Marvel in this movie tho, they blend so well with each other. Overall I think this movie is a brighter Man of Steel.

Dusk of the Dead and Pucker PunchI've never seen a Jack Snyder movie. What's he done?
Articles like this will pop up for every DC movie, especially if JL is a letdown. It's too good of a click bait. Like the recent JL rumours, which, as some people here noticed, can't be right since all of the actors were in other projects at the time of the alleged SOS reshoots.Wait, wait, but what about-

INSANE.
Just got up and the RT score has held.
So not only did the movie turn out well, it's one of the highest RT EVER for a comic book movie. (Or is it THE highest?)
While it's pretty certainly going to stay in the 90s with 54 reviews in, remember that most of these movies end up with over 200 reviews by the time everything is finished. It's possible that it'll drop to something closer to 92-93, which would still be fantastic.
Dusk of the Dead and Pucker Punch
Is it true that Gadot was gonna quit acting before getting Wonder Woman?
Apparently so, she was tired of the rejections and wasn't sure if she could continue and was happy to get a call from SnyderIs it true that Gadot was gonna quit acting before getting Wonder Woman?
LOL
Swis what's your domestic prediction this weekend?
I remember reading about this. I think it's cuz she wanted to have kids.

Hahahah, no.
It was because she was interested in pursuing a law degree.
