Northampton here, superficially labour by looking at peoples windows, but tory on reality. No idea why, it's a working class town really.

Due to Brexit and the net loss it will create, there isn't going to be spending from either party just decisions on what to cut the least/most. In reality that is.

Though hey maybe all our trade deals we have to make will in fact be better deals. With all the leverage we have.
 
No politics on the TV today so I think the whole country just turns to Facebook and Twitter to argue with randoms and/or feud and disown friends and family.

I can't forgive him for some of the cruel things he's said in the past in the name of comedy. There's a way to talk about controversial subjects, the vulnerable, or minorities without causing offense, upset or basically bullying. Louie CK does this perfectly for example, whereas Frankie can just be mean spirited and vile.

He's certainly softened up recently to try to get more TV work but I know there is a self centred person with a complete lack of empathy in there, despite the constant socialist act.
 
All these celebrities coming out urging people to vote Labour. They're wasting their breath. Look how many famous faces Clinton had on her side.

Do the Conservatives have any famous faces on their side? I've not seen any, but then I'm in a little wanky lefty bubble, so what do I know?

I meant North or South Northampton. I'm in the town but firmly in the South Northamptonshire constituency (because of out-of-date boundaries).

Northampton itself is pretty working-class, but South Northants is very very middle-class and Tory-heavy.

The money is pretty attainable tbh. But this parliament will be too occupied with re-aligning the UK in the global stage and if May were to stay in power, stripping people off their civil liberties.
 
Just voted, unlikely it will make a difference as my area is a Tory stronghold but you never know.

Expectations are very low for tomorrow, i hope i wake up surprised.

If NeoGAF is representative of the country at large, and I've no reason to believe it isn't, I have Labour winning the election with about 98% of the vote.

Good job, lads. Quite the turnaround. Let's crack open a cold one and tomorrow we can start worrying about Brexit negotiations.

Sounds like the average Scot to be honest! But yeah, I get that he polarises. A combination of dark British humour with crude and hostile language and a propensity to hate everything and you're going to offend. A serious marmite of comedy.

I could see Jeremy Clarkson voting Tory or UKIP, but I may be wrong. IIRC Clarkson actually supported remain? Probably still a Tory.

Yeah I just realised!

North Northampton swings like a cat. Erratically following national trends as there's been about a 20% swing between 1997 and 2015, and that's after a massive dive for the Tory vote after 1992. Will be very interesting to see where that seat goes.

Eek the Lib dems went from 28% in 2010 to 4% in 2015. You guys are truly the least loyal voters in the country!

I used to have IDS as the MP but have moved last year j to a pretty safe labour area. The labour MP is a strong brexiteer though in quite a Pro remain area and seem to be taking this for granted. I went with lib dem at the end, probably a wasted vote, no one I voted for ever won apart from Sadiq Khan.

Is that 2% the shifty Scots on GAF trying to breakup the UK by voting SNP? What about the Lib Dem voters on here too? There's dozens of them. Maybe 1% to SNP and 1% Lib Dem then?
 
I got my vote in nice and early. Can't encourage people to vote enough, it takes only a few seconds and if enough "can't be bothered" or "It won't matter" people turn up... it will make a difference.

Pretty much. And the last few months it's kinda been battered into the electorate that we can't go back so people weren't sold in the Lib Dem's, even if they were just offering a referendum on the final deal, which probably would have been way better than the shit show we'll end up with.
 
Voted. Noticed a few more individuals than usual even this early in the morning.

I live in West Dorset, so a safe Tory seat. But the Lib Dems have been running an extremely aggressive campaign this time around. We've literally had leaflets and letters through the letterbox every single day if not multiple times a day. I voted for them since the other parties never come close round here, and Oliver Letwin is a slimeball.

There's the Lib Dems, surging all the way to 9% of the vote.

Voted Tory for the first time in a GE. Floated all the way from Miliband to May, mostly to register unambiguous opposition to a second independence referendum. They might manage a decent job of Brexit and end 10 years of stagnant real terms wage growth, but I doubt it (I don't have any faith Labour could either).

It's a shame there aren't more constituencies like this. Far better than all these hopeless safe seats.

Disappointed in democracy today. Went to the polling stations fully intending to vote for the most lunatic fringe party on the ballot, only to get there and find there were only 4 parties on the ballot. Greens were the closest to that so in the end I had to vote for them, but I'm not best pleased with the options for lunatic fringe parties.

I really ought to get around to standing for the looney party. It's not the same since our local candidate died
 
Live in what was once a Lib dem/Tory battleground but since boundaries were redrawn in 2010 and Lid dem shit the bed its a safe Tory seat.

Voted Lib dem who should close the gap but not by much
