Forza 7, State of Decay 2, Crackdown, AC origins, Shadow of War, Anthem, Moon Studio, Cuphead, Scorpio and patches. I think that's enough to fill the conference.
Probably the studio Gobo game will appear.

Really, really hope there is something more interesting.
I just don't see why Microsoft would show up with no new first party announcements (Forza 7 doesn't really count) on a new console year. They have to at least bring some CG trailers for unseen games

Roughly 18 hrs until the show. I'm not nervous or worried. I've said my piece and believe I have it right. So, let's talk "what can it do that they haven't told us about yet?"

Can a premium console spend time as a PC? What would something like that cost?

Can you sign an agreement with MS for services and get the console for cheap?

Why not a SKU like the 360 where there is no internal hdd? Xbone is better when used with an external hdd.

Now settle down you jackels. It's almost showtime!

Oh, what if it could play all Xbox games AND all future PC games as well? Would you pay 599 for something like that?

Just some items to kick around to keep us busy till they take the stage tomorrow and show us all our next console.

Don't do this to yourself, there's no Banjo.

----------------

For those that didn't listen to Phil and Larry's convo from this morning, it's worth noting as an expectations check that he reiterated that he believes E3 should be for the current slate of games that are near and in playable form now. My take on that is don't expect to see anything that isn't planned for release in the next 18 months max.

I don't believe there is, but IF there is I don't want to find out via a Wallguy-esque screenshot. I'll still watch the conference expecting nothing, don't worry. And agree with you said about the podcast.

Does the mainline Forza series still sell well? I assume it does because they keep making them, but if I had to gauge the hype for Forza 7 I'd say its near zero.

People throw the term franchise fatigue around a lot but I think it really applies here. How many Forza's can they possibly release on one platform and still keep going?

I certainly hope not much time is spent on it, unless I'm wrong and it's gonna be amazing.

A few upper level Rare staffers have been teasing Banjo. An employee completely shut the rumor down but his avatar has "Don't believe his lies" written on it.

WHAT TO BELIEVE!?

fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck

Banjo Threeie has been my most hyped E3 dream forever!!

I can't do this to myself I will just get blue balled by a no-show or a version of Banjo no one asked for.

also do my eyes deceive me or is there someone very hidden all the way to the left on the train 2 picture at chiefs knee level?

after the whole problem of showing too early, I doubt they will dare to show something without gameplay.

But that's OK since next year is completely unknown at this point.

I took it as there's many stuff to announce when it said that just talking about short term there's so much they had to stretch the conference.

I definitely would agree that Microsoft needs to announce/unveil a new first party IP. Even though I think the imminent lineup of exclusives is vastly overlooked and underrated they definitely need another heavy hitter on the horizon to make Scorpio even more appealing.

Totally agree.

At least one new strong showing to bolster the know roster... likely in the last 5 mins.

One more sleep.. holy fuck, we are almost there!

Please no leaks, for fuck sake!
It's gonna be a bit rough waiting for 5 tommorow. Used to just wake up in the morning a bit before the conference started.
And i'm not worried about leaks (ok maybe a tiny bit). But after last year they cracked down hard.

As if Microsoft would let them do Banjo... They are going for the money, and a Destiny like game is where its at (Sea of Thieves).

I agree, based on everything we have heard of the Xbox division internally its all pushing towards games as a service and Windows 10 integration.

A single player platformer doesn't fit into their initiative at all, and I can't see it being adapted in the current landscape without being bastardized. If I'm wrong I will have the best E3 day ever, but its not happening.

Dear NeoGAF friends I would like to take a moment to tell you about a tradition that I make every E3 I'm a content creator and streamer on YouTube and Twitch this has been my work in the past 7 years, every year I co stream the Xbox E3 press conference for my viewers my audience is from Mexico and LATAM so what I do is I translate all the content of the conference for them, I'm not trying to make self advertisement or anything like that I just wanted to share this with you because I love what I do and I also love being a member of this great forum this year I'm doing all the press conferences BTW I'm very happy about that :)

This is awesome! Living in a Spanish speaking territory of the US I can say this is very welcomed. Cheers! If you ever need a hand with this I will gladly help if time allows it.

You did a great job!

Thank you and to everyone else that has said the same!

It was quite a ride.

1. I now know more about trains past, current and future than I ever thought I would and have seen just about all of them. I wish there where more train pics at higher resolutions and at angles other than slightly straight on lol.

2. I might just digitally slap the next person that tries to tell me there aren't that many xbox fans on GAF.

I don't need any new IP announcements from MS. I don't get any hype for concepts, ideas, or CG trailers. I get hype for seeing new gameplay footage. So far, we've only seen 1-2 aspects of SoT, a tech demo of Crackdown, and nothing from State of Decay. Just having gameplay footage of those (if they look good) is enough to hype me.

Believe in Phil, he will deliver

They should have announcements in theory. There should be 3 unknown games from Shannon loftis side of development(she said they have 5 games. 2 are Crackdown and SoD). Assuming 1 is Ori 2, that's 2 more games. Likely Gobos game and another. So that's 3 games along with Forza 7 which you say doesn't count

Does anyone have any experience buying a console from Gamestop at launch? I'm trying to decide if I want to sell my GS gift card to Cardpool for Amazon credit, but I'll lose $30 if I go down that road.

I really hope they get the Scorpio reveal right - I've got faith. The half step refresh is an exciting take for Microsoft, I sincerely hope they've priced it right.

I also hope that the game reveals are very strong - it's been awhile since I've felt compelled to pick up an XBO title. They better put together a massive list of new BC titles, hoping for some Ninja Gaiden!

I have a hard time not believing that the XBOX leadership team hasn't used a "drop the mic" winning E3 conference as a discussion topic and an anecdotal measurement of success for the last several months. Scorpio demarks a full architectural and strategic reboot point for MS (Bc, game pass, Minecraft and the like were steps toward tomorrow) completely shedding its path from the Don Mattrick legacy.

For this reason, despite the focus on the 18 month forseable future, I fully expect a huge new exclusive IP announcement tomorrow sometime. If Anthem is the only other large new non-exclusive IP being announced I would be choked.

Based on the above, my guess is a new (or historical refresh ala Banjo or PD) Rare IP and an new Japanese developed exclusive IP.
