As boring as the chapter was, I can't believe how beautiful it was. Whoever was responsible for today's drawing should work on every important chapter from now on.

Two styles dominated today's episode.
First half was Miyako Tsuji, she is one of two Chief Animation Supervisors on Super, she works on every even numbered episode.
Second half was Animation Supervisor Yuichi Karasawa who was previously a supervisor on 31, 37, 44, 50, 57, 66, and 72. He very quickly became Super's "golden boy" supervisor but randomly disappeared after episode 72, which was also easily his weakest. His work on 94 is the most polished it's ever been on Super, something we've seen with a few other supervisors this arc as well.

Boring? It was superb. Great character interactions and they proved bringing back Frieza was a great idea, despite not looking like much on paper.

Did people think bringing him back would be a bad idea in every sense? I just didn't want it to happen because the thought of Goku being desperate to invite him of all people really sucked. That it's a lot to ask of his friends. But even then I knew all the interactions would be gold lol

I had my reservations at first, then I thought about the interactions and thought they'd be interesting enough, I didn't think his interactions with Goku would be this good though, I really like them.

I didn't think it was possible, but this episode got me into the idea of Frieza joining the U7 team.
I never new I wanted this as much as I do now.
And just what Super's good at,
now that they made me want it, they'll take it away :(

While we've had some good looking chapters, the only one that I can remember that comes close to this one was 17's reintroduction episode (86 I think?). Who was responsible for that?

I'll definetly look forward to whatever that person and Karasawa put their hands from now on.

Great episode, I'm liking Freeza more this go around than I did in Ressurection F. Still not a fan of the Golden form though, fourth form looks so much better to me.

Loved all the 17 moments, especially with Piccolo. Best joke in the episode was Vegeta sitting alone in shame after defending Freeza.

The main people responsible for 86's visuals were Miyako Tsuji and Naoki Tate. Tate is on 95.
86 was storyboarded by Kiyosato Yamamoto and directed by Takao Iwai.
94 was directed and storyboarded by Masato Mitsuka, who is new to Super with this episode.

Not much happened but the art was incredible! Had the art be so consistently good the show would be so much more enjoyable to watch...

Some funny moments in this episode. Loved Vegeta having to defend Frieza, and everyone meeting 17.

They handled Frieza very well too. I was worried, but so far so good.

Not much to say but I liked this episode way more than last week. It was a legit great episode and it looked great. I still feel the team rolled over too quickly in accepting Frieza on the team but overall all the character interactions and character moments (including between Freiza and Goku) were great! I'm a happy camper this week :)

These are cute <3

Vegeta was perfect.
17 was perfect.
Freeza was perfect.
Art was perfect.

Such an unexpectedly amazing episode! I hope the show can maintain this quality through the tournament.

Yeah, I think U9 ain't gonna make it lol. Weren't they having trouble recruiting members? How about picking 7 random people from those assassins? They're so dumb they deserve whatever's coming at them.

I would assume they have their team members, especially since the plot point of this episode was if they don't have 10 they can't compete. It would seem U9's God has the wrong priorities if he's trying to sabotage U7 when he should be worried about not being disqualified for having less than 10 members.

Yeah that Frieza transformation scene was amazing, one of the best moments of the series.

That soundtrack:

I was thinking and it's probably not the grand priest watching in the NEP as I think he's still building the arena, unless the ring is finished (finally lol).

Sidra is probably a chump. U9 is fodder and their GoD is probably nothing special without his Hakai.

17 telling Marron that he's 17 years old made me laugh way more than it should've. That caught me completely off guard. Dragon Ball usually isn't very clever with its jokes.

I wonder if part of the reason 18 got so angry about Marron being called Maron is because she knows about Krillin's ex-girlfriend, Maron. I can totally see her getting angry even if she doesn't know about her, though.

The Goku/Frieza scenes in these past two episodes have been the real highlights, however. Can't wait to see some interaction between Frieza and Vegeta as well, although I don't expect it to be quite as good despite their history.

Frieza's transformation scene made me wish Kale's had been handled similarly. It would've been nice to see her first use it during the tournament and as a way to finish the episode, as it happened with SS Rage. That would've been hype af.
