Most of my team are at an all hands this week. I opted to skip this one and not fly in.

I don't regret that but I'll hopefully be at the next one.

You can skip team meetings.

If your colleagues are pushy about you joining them for lunch, just explain them the situation. I'm sure they'll find it sweet and wish you luck!

Jesus christ if you go to a team lunch or even if you are on your own and someone from your work suggests grabbing a shared lunch and you do that instead I will personally fly over to whichever fucking city you are in and slap you across the face until you're saying my god damned name and begging me to stop.

I met a girl on a plane once. We talked for hours (12 hour flight ugh) and I ended up same as you OP, walked her to baggage claim and said bye. But unlike you I got her contact info and name. When we both got back to the country we live in we had a few dates and fun encounters. 4 years later I still count her as a good friend. So yep, you goofed, but go stalk her lunch spot and buy her a coffee when you see her. Apologize once for being dumb and then be confident the rest of the time.

I've dated women that simply won't ask for a guy's phone number, and considering OP didn't even ask what her name was(lol...) and she gave him more than enough hints, this is all on OP.
 
idk if OP already decided to go, but just GO and worst thing that can happen is she lost interest. A firm rejection is ALWAYS better than wondering what could have been forever

Also ask for the girls number and name next time fam
 
Visiting the lunch spot should be fine. The creepiness will be outweighed by the fact that you were paying attention to what she was telling you.

If you find her you can go with "I didn't know where else to eat" joke, tell her your name and let the chips fall where they may.
 
Man you really blew that. This is like something out of an episode of how I met your mother. I would just go for it. It sounds like you really hit it off. Worst case is you never see her again which is what will happen anyway if you do nothing.

Im not trying to absolve OP of all blame but its like if your brave enough to spill your daily schedule and grab a strangers arm is asking to see their phone that terrifying? Regardless of gender roles if she really wanted to see him again she wouldve asked

She really likes you OP and you seemed to really like her aswell. If you know where she works and her lunch time definitely go see her. Don't do the, "oh, I can't believe I bumped into you again shtick". Tell her that you've been thinking about her a lot and that you'd like to see her more. I guarantee she's thinking of you a lot aswell. Since you're only there for a few days, you should do this sooner than later. You're already feeling regret not doing this in first place, and it'll haunt you for a long time if you leave town without seeing her. We are here for support and want you to be happy. Keep us updated OP, would love to see what happens.

Edit: after thinking of where to met her I think it would be better to go to the workplace instead of lunch. To me at least it would seem like a coincidence to her that you saw her at the lunch, whereas if you go to the workplace you're showing that you're actively seeking her out because you care about her. That's my two sense though.

2nd edit: after thinking some more since she mentioned where she eats at lunch almost everyday, she'll definitely be there waiting to see if you show if she does care about you. So really either location would be good to meet her.
