Kyle being Kyle is one of very best aspects of EZA. I didn't understand his perspective when I first started watching GT, but now I totally get it even though I'm obviously not the same way.
If there's a podcast where you always agree with the cast and they don't challenge you to view things from different perspectives, you should stop listening. You're wasting your time and actually becoming a worse person in the process.

I think that's my favorite bit about him. The sometimes unconventional ways he'll challenge even couch guests on the podcast. There's a natural flow to it, which makes it all the more impressive.
At one point, I actually wanted him to be a singular judge-like figure in the Hall of the Greats who the other Allies would have to present their case in front of to get a game inducted. That idea just seems hilarious to me because I think it fits, in my limited EZA experience, his style of moderation and questioning so well.

The only thing I can think of is his using knack as a running punchline throughout the final bosman. Although he kind of ended that with the E3 episode
Ugh if a playthrough doesn't exist that needs to be an upcoming Kyle stream before the release of the sequel

I agree with you on challenging and viewing things from a different perspective as I don't agree with the Allies on a lot of things, but that's why I enjoy them as each one brings something unique to the table.
My Kyle is Kyle comment did come off sounding worse then I intended as I like Kyle.

I seriously don't understand the hate for Kyle. I don't want to pick favorites because I love all the members of EZA and each has amazing qualities they bring to the table.
But, Kyle in particular really pulls EZA together and keeps them focused and sharp (Ben is also great at this). And I appreciate that being done because I feel sometimes it's easy for everything to get a bit off track.
His humor is really on point, he's intelligent, well spoken, has good leadership qualities and has great ambition for EZA. His personality is a huge part of EZA. I think more than people realize maybe. I don't know for sure, but it appears that he does a lot of planning and is sort of the 'idea guy' for EZA. I remember during the Switch launch he was trying to push more of the other allies to show up for the streams and do more. I appreciate that kind of hustle and it seems like that hustle happens a lot.
Idk. It's not like I know the guy in person obviously, but I see comments lately where people are ripping on him and I just don't get it. Without Kyle I feel the EZA would be a lot worse off. They definitely wouldn't be as entertaining. He's the best possible podcast moderator out of all of them, although Ben is fantastic in Frame Trap.
Oh one last thing, Kyle and Damiani's troll battles are freaking hilarious and I totally agree with what Ben said on the last Frame Trap: it seems like there is this love between them but they just express it in weird ways. I dig it. I hope they're actually buddies and chill together from time to time cause their friendship is a weirdly beautiful thing.
Anyways, keep doing you Kyle. If it weren't for The Final Bosman, I honestly never would've given Gametrailers the time of day years ago. But that magnificent show was a gateway drug that has lead me to be a patron of EZA.

It will take a while to get used to the table setup on the podcast.
The couch setup was more in sync to the garage background... Now it looks more cluttered. Maybe they can work out something with the framing.

It's not a thing we can simply "throw up" week to week though. It takes some time to set up and tear down properly, and it's too intrusive to be a permanent fixture in the garage.

So they picked accurately? Good work. They're certainly not the only outlet to be talking up Mario after playing it. Giant Bomb were jazzed about it on their podcast too seemingly more than Dragonball and they have 3 guys deep into fighters.

There's a difference between watering something down and making something more concise.
62 episodes thus far, without an end in sight. That's 62 hours and still counting. Even those really long drawn out American TV shows don't have that many hours in a single series, and most of those episodes are nothing but filler.
Unless you're going to tell me every minute of those 62 hours have been incredible I just don't see a problem with making the show more compact. There's nothing wrong with having a beginning, a middle and an end from the get go. Episode 1 is where we start, episode 20 is where we end. Something like that. OK, it's Tabletop and sometimes things can go awry, usually something involving Huber, but there's no reason that can't be kept in check whilst still being entertaining.
I also think they'd get a lot more viewers if people saw Episode 1 of 20, Episode 2 of 20 and so on.
It reminds me a bit of some anime series. My brother recently told me that I'd really like One Piece and should give it a go. I looked it up and there are almost 800 episodes. Fuck that noise! No chance in hell.
I can't be the only one who has been put off by the sheer amount of episodes of Tabletop surely? If I am, then I'll hold my hands up and say no more on the matter.
Also, if it was to get a clear "season-like" time frame of when it ends we could see other Allies getting involved in new stories. I'm looking at you, Don (never gonna happen).

I just don't know why people can't watch at their own pace and enjoy it for what it is rather than feel the need to catch up.

Please don't mischaracterize it like that. I'm not going to argue with Kyle about his opinion because I have no issue with it, not from a validity, sincerity or any other such perspective. I love his opinions on a wide variety of topics, I think they are great and a huge part of what make EZA a fun listen, especially when it comes to the podcast.
My posts were very specifically directed at the confines of the show as it was presented, based on expectations that I came to as I listened to it as a first time viewer. These expectations were based off of several things such as the lead up to the score reveal, Bloods reaction to the score, the general direction I felt the conversation was heading down on based on the trailers dicussion, the prior trailer discussions and so on.
Therefore, my posts were based more around the subversion of my expectations and what I felt as a result of that than anything else. And if you take them as critiques, they are levied at the confines of the show itself, not anyone individual.

Caught up on most of the impression videos. Crazy how I'm more excited for Knack 2 as a result. Honestly wasn't expecting such positive impressions from multiple allies.
TTE is already pretty fast and loose compared to many other D&D shows I've seen. They could cut down the amount of episodes by just telling shorter stories, but I personally like longer adventures to really flesh out the world and more importantly to give characters more room for growth.

I honestly think the big issue with TTE is entirely unrelated to the actual show. The episode count seems to turn people off but I think the show is actually fairly easy to jump into. I jumped in at the late 30s and was hooked enough to go back to start from scratch.
I don't know how you would address that though, or if it's even worth addressing. I think the current format is more than fine and just works.
I'm also one of those who is already looking forward to fresh set of characters for TTE. I'm still loving the current adventure, but I'd want to see more characters from the other guys too and not just Ben. I wouldn't mind so much stretching the storyline if we had more of those quick shorter stories like we had with Brandon in it. It was excellent.

Other D&D shows like The Adventure Zone structure their episodes into chapters, and put those chapter names in the episode titles. It makes things a lot more manageable if you're catching up or are just starting out. A show is a lot less intimidating if you have only 7 more episodes to finish a chapter, rather than 37 episodes. Especially since that 37 goalpost will unquestionably move during the time you are catching up.
Yeah, that would be a good idea for the next season or whatever. Even if the chapters are lopsided in terms of episodes, it would be good to label the arcs.
I missed last week's episode of TTE. I know it's on YouTube so it doesn't matter but still, could we cancel the series and have Ben create a new one so that I don't have to watch a video that's old? Oh, I may miss an episode again in a few weeks so he should plan on creating a new series then too.

If I tried to argue every questionable opinion I've heard from Kyle, I would never leave the thread. His trailer breakdown I still find overblown (especially in regards to fades, parsing dialogue at the ends of the focus of combat, the bookend isn't optimal but a friendly beast/leviathan is a takeaway here that followed the opening's action as Huber stated, variety in enemy models is displayed simply not edited the way Kyle felt it should have been. This is a little fair, if not, just as disingenuous) with scoring off.
Also, I'm sure many wouldn't care to try and fight him on a "Kyle Opinion" on his own turf. That would make them masochists of some sort. I'm quoting him just because I missed replying to it yesterday. Also, to my knowledge he hardly ever posts to talk about these things to begin with (or I've missed a lot if he does). While this post of his is still disagreeable, it's a much better explanation than he gave on the actual panel at least.

I like the idea of splitting it into arcs. Especially because I do think there are several good jumping on points throughout the show if a viewer doesn't want to watch all the way from the beginning (e.g. when Pomper joins).

Agreed. I just found it as a pleasent reminder the next God of War is still a thing. It is also just an opinion. That's why they take the average of their scores at the end. You definitely can disagree with what they say. However, that is also just your opinion. No need to get all bent out of shape about it. L&R.
