Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy |OT| N.Teresting and N.Tertaining N.Fographics With-N

Encountered first glitch, in the pits level the camera didn't orientate to look down. Don't know what triggered it but it was fine after dying.

Okay, I got the Platinum relic on Boulders.

Now I want that leaderboard high score

I've died 5 times trying to get all the boxes on the first stage in Crash 1. It's simple but challenging. Everything about this is great so far.

The Native Fortress level is just ugh. I can never tell where I am supposed to be jumping at because the depth is all weird and I ran out of lives because of those shield people. Time to jump back to Crash 2 for a little bit before I go back into it.

I took down Ripper Roo and I think that will be my stopping point tonight. I think I would have made it to koala Kong had I not stuck around to get the platinum relics.

Up the Creek really made me miss the slide spin jump and tornado spin. I still got the platinum fairly easily once I figured out I could damage boost to get through a specific part more quickly.

Heh, speaking of Native Fortress...
did anybody else remember that bypass at the top?
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

At the end of the first level, I was thinking here goes $40 down the drain and I let my nostalgia get the better of me. Then I started using the D-Pad and pay more attention on when to Jump and ignore getting 100% of the boxes just like how I played it when I was a kid. Now I'm all the way to Native Fortress having an amazing time. The magic is back to me. I decided to quit midway through that level because I wasted too many lives in it lol.

And if Crash 1 has you put off, do remember that the sequels are much more accessible.

Oh yeah I remember that. I just want to finish the first one because I never got to do that. I'm pretty sure I finished the latter ones or got really close.

Watch Trainspotting 1 and Hackers (which includes first WipEout showing).

The Beach (filmed 2000) has Crash Bandicoot as part of a drug haze.

And Spaced. Technically filmed in 1999-2000 but series references & shows lots of PS1 games and era stuff. One episode is dedicated to Resident Evil 2. There might be Crash cameos as well but can't remember.

Lol, someone is suffering in that bridge level in Crash 1 on Twitch.

This is great. Someone in the chat heard the invincibility jingle and was like "NARUTO MUSIC?!

And only just now did I realize the light planks were frozen

I have no idea what that is. I grew up with mostly Crash 3 and some of 2. Never finished 1 before.
Gotta get rid of that s in spoiler, but
pay attention to the top of the fence just after the top-right checkpoint.

I think I'm going to stop using amazon uk for day one games. Yeah, the prime discounts are nice, but if the courier isn't going to show up until 6 or 7pm then what's the point?

Man Crash 1 is super hard, I can already see children crying after an unaware parent has bought them this collection. Road To Nowhere was especially brutal even after I resorted to "cheating".

As someone who was too young to grow up with PS1, I'm having a good time so far.

I just started Crash 1 and it's a breath of fresh air.

Road to Nowhere kicked my ass but at least I got the gem and key in Sunset Vista.

Despite the headache of the difficulty, I'm really feeling how great this game is. I won't move to Crash 2 until I get all gems in 1. I might save the relics for the end.

...YOU CAN RUN ON THE FUCKING ROPES IN ROAD TO NOWHERE. WHAT????

You have no idea how relieved I was when I discovered this method. I still died a few times
you sometimes need to adjust a tiny bit left or right and it's more of a guess
, but I wouldn't have the nerves to complete that level like it was intended. ;p I already broke my pad a little from squeezing it too much. ;)

1) It was said that the bosses and vehicle levels all default to whoever was in them originally. Only Crash rides Polar, Coco rides Pura, Crash goes underwater and rides the motorcycle, Coco rides the jetski, etc. I believe there was some ambiguity of whether the two could swap in Crash 3's biplane levels.
2) I'm about to find out now

Thanks for the answer on the first! Let me know if you find out the second, I won't be playing until late Saturday, most likely.

so many controllers are going to get broken from people playing time trials.

i have 2 platinum relics and a few gold ones. 0.02sec from another gold just before on rolling stones. because i got hung up on the fallen pillar right at the fucking end.

EDIT: got the gold the next time and still fucked up.

After spending six years on Native Forest I started to notice that it felt like Crash's model was stuttering quite frequently. Has anyone noticed something like this?

Okay, Road to Nowhere killed my enthusiasm for Crash 1 (I beat it, and got past the level after it though), so I'm moving on to Crash 2. Already I feel more confident playing this game.

Right now I'm watching someone trying to constantly
jump on the rope, looks like they're dying more times trying to do that than normally playing the stage.

Oh yeah, that happened to me too. I wound up tackling the stage as intended. It's so hard to judge the length of your jumps on it.

Last night i replayed a few levels of the first Crash on PS1 (via PS3 emulation) and now jumping to Remaster it feels like a dream. Game controls and plays MUCH better, on original even in the first couple of levels i died many times because of not visible pits, awkward jumps etc. Now first game plays like it should have been at the first place. I'm having a lot of fun with this and i haven't touched Crash 2 or 3 yet. I remember playing them on PS1 back in the day but it's been soo long so those to will be hugely new experiences.
VV did a spectacular job with this.
Now it's time for CTR baby!
