Crash Bandicoot: N.Sane Trilogy |OT| N.Teresting and N.Tertaining N.Fographics With-N

Native Fortress can fuck right off as ever. Spent ages stuck there when I first played through Crash 1, and now is no different.

Adoring the remaster in general though.

They really need to make the opening skippable, at least past the first time.

This + the loading times being a biiit too long are pretty much my only complaints for now. Pretty good.

Remember you can just hold down X on the springy boxes, you don't have to time them. I used to make those sections way harder on myself not realizing that.

Also the part with the three flame plates in a row seems tougher than before. But you can dip into the background in the middle one to save yourself. I died like 4 times trying to jump back onto the platform though

Never played Crash but loving it so far. I can see how this game can be frustrating without the checkpoints.

On Sunset Vistas!

Everything feels really great except one thing, the metal arrow crates. I noticed this especially while playing native fortress. Is it just me?

Went to a bunch of stores to buy it after work, and they're all sold out. Well, except for two supermarkets that had it in stock, but said that new games aren't put out until the following day. Fucking stupid; it's no wonder their games section is a fucking joke.

What's with the moles in Crash 2 forest levels being so docile now? Distinctly remember the teeth gnashing yelp as they attacked you, now they just sort of... sit there.

Is there a place to buy a key for this game in europe?
I can't buy the game on PSN, it keeps glitching at checkout GRRRRRR

Just beat Crash 1, I don't remember what the original was like bit if this game was as 1:1 a re-creation as advertised I'd say that it's aged well.

I just got the platinum relic in Sunset Vista. Now that that one is out of the way I feel like the rest of the plats will be relatively easy aside from Slippery Climb.

I noticed this too. They seem more forgiving/easier to spin without danger.

Is it still possible to totally jump over these ditches like the originals? I haven't been able to pull it off.

Gdamn

Today I will re-live my childhood!

Buuuuuut I'm gonna wait until the full game is installed before i start because I don't want the loud ass disc spinning noise to be on while I play.

Does it bother anyone else that PS4 has no progress bar for disc installation? It only tells you when the game is "ready to launch" but after that you're on your own.

I just wasted like 20 lives on Native Fortress and I still haven't beaten it, I don't remember it being this hard. Forget time trials though when I can't even beat the damn level.

This package is really something.

Loving the little animation touches. The time trial mode is going to get addictive for me too, I can feel it.

Dammit forgot to pre order digitally and instead simply purchased it through the store and missed out on all the themes/avatars 😢

The whole family is loving this.

And we're only on level 4 of Crash 1.

I posted a video of the first level with the polar bear in Crash 2 on my fb yesterday. My entire family were like omg I want to play.

Now I have my cousins, aunty, and my bro all coming round to play the game next week. Crash 2 and 3 were huge family traditions in our family back in the day. Can't wait for them to see it :D

Wtf is that timing on that final spinning pig on Hog Wild dont remember it being that hard in the original.

Yes, I had the same issue. Died 12 times there. I'm still not quite sure how I made it over when I finally did.

I went and checked out a video of the original and the roasting hog definitely seems to be in a slightly different (higher) position in the remake.

Someone posted earlier i think that there are free themes and avatars on the store today? I havent been on yet to look myself, or know if its for specific regions only.

Cortex icon bonus levels. There's only two of them

You have to
beat the Cortex bonus round which can be found in two levels. In order to access it you need to find three Cortex tables in that stage.

Cool, thanks.

My GF is a Crash nut and she's loving showing the kids where to go and what to do.

The themes and avatars says "not available for purchase" for me here in Canada. The description says it's a pre-order thing

Loving it so far but definitely noticing a few blemishes in the first game.

On the temple ruins level, I got every box and the gem but got killed by the bats just before the portal as I landed on it.

This resulted in me completing the level but the results screen was absent of crash and there was no way to continue but a hard restart.

Also, the jumping seems somewhat off to me at times. It does feel like I'm missing platforms which I wouldn't have in the original. Maybe it's just me getting used to the game again but I'm noticing deaths from jumps that I felt I should have made and deaths as a result of crash being slightly too far back or forward on the 2.5D levels.

Also, not sure if I'm liking the analogue controls. Might just be because I always used the D-pad though.

Intro being unskippable sucks too. It was cool the first time around but it's not exactly short.

All things considered though, this is an amazing remake.

i always used d-pad for the sidescrolling sections, on the original games

The Native Fortress struggle is real, WTF

Edit: okay, I think I just had a checkpoint dynamically added in Native Fortress. Either that or I missed it last time :lol

Finally playing this!! YES!

Holy fuck at Native Fortress! Most of my lives were lost in that fucking level. My OCD won't let me play Crash 2 before beating 1 lol, but I can't play too much today so that'll be it for today. Tomorrow though... we're playing Crash all day tomorrow!
Crash 1 is an incredibly cheap game. Fortunately this collection fixes one of its biggest problems, its save system, so it's far less frustrating.

This is an incredible remake. If they fix the loading times, it'll be perfect.
Pretty much, yeah, if they patch the loading times I'll be in complete love with this game. Loving it so far.

Oh god please tell me this game isn't super hard.
We won't :)

Level two, my partner is trying to hit a box between two TNT boxes, done it the first time then died. Took 6 more attempts.

"Fucking" everywhere, haha.

Road to Knowhere is a huge fucking nope.
Sorry but i got no time for this kimd of shit. Skipping Crash 1. It's still hard as nails.

The way I was able to consistently get over that last roasting hog was to start at the left and move right as I'm jumping. Any other way and it would always fail. Not sure what's up with it, though.
