Man, I wish.

Zero, what did they do to you?!

Also, these covers are a clusterfudge, in every possible way. Not only are the covers mostly bad, but the fact that they reveal characters that haven't been announced without fanfare and at the same time somehow manage to not have the characters the book is about even though they're (probably) gonna be in the main game. I'm like 90% sure that the cover artist for Venom had a Venom themed cover but it didn't get used because they didn't want to spoil that he was in the game.

These are a marketing nightmare. :|

Also, I bet the next time there's an MvCI presser and they reveal Dormammu and Firebrand/Red Arremer they'll act as if they've never been seen before.

That's Zero from the Megaman ZX games

Venom is most definitely a boss according to the .zip leak since he has his own grunts

The SymbioteHuge model does sound like a special boss fight, probably similar to the picture enzo posted. I just really don't see the game having a regular Venom model, a set of symbiote soldiers, and a special transformation all strictly tied to the story only without him playable at all. God, that would be the biggest disappointment ever.

That Venom cover is fucking hysterical. I said this before but I'm pretty sure he's going to be an NPC. And no I am not happy about that. :|

Lmao that Venom cover is great for a laugh. The marketing strategy or lack thereof is such garbage, and Mickey Mouse is spinning in his grave. Who is managing expectations in their side? Especially to the tune of 2mm in sales?

Thank fuck people in the fgc like Max are inadvertently buffering this game against bad press by putting in effort for his own unrelated venture.

This game is gonna be good but I really don't feel great for the reception, which sucks. It looks so fun - just get it in front of eyes the right way!

Really hoping people play the game despite CC'S best efforts to dissuade them, lol.

I want to like this game but I have very few reasons to do so. Ever since the initial announcement it has been disappointment.

This is what people were saying when SFV launched. It's truly astonishing that Capcom hasn't learned anything from that debacle.

The roster is Marvels fault. The laziness is Capcoms.

Just astonished there's only 4 females and 8 characters that are actually new on the roster. What a depressing roster. What a dull looking game. What an unfortunate marketing campaign. Everything that went wrong did.

It's really easy to compare SFV and Marvel but I do think all things considered this game is still doing a lot more right in terms of content. Launching with a story mode, arcade mode and trials is more than SF can say, and even with all the reused assets a 32-34 character roster is a lot more than 16. There are obviously areas to complain about but I think it's still going to be a bigger and more well-rounded game than SFV was at launch.

Capcom is probably thinking "We give the fans a new Marvel game and instead of thanking us, all they can do is shit on our gift to them?!" And if they are thinking that, then that is part of the problem.

SFV did more with its 16 roster than marvel with 34.

Easily. I think comparing attribute-to-attribute it's faaaaaaaaaaar better of a situation than SFV, but there's been more meme-ing and backlash over things like crummy models for MvC:I than there was for SFV. The only real big unique things hurting MvC:I is the X-Men debacle and carryover hatred from SFV.

I'm still hyped because it looks fun and more and more with every video I see, the story mode is as cheesy as I'd want it to be, and I know they're going to support it like no other MvC game was post-launch. But there's still room to be disappointed if performance isn't up to snuff, featureset is more lacking than advertised, or the Gallery Mode ends up being lame. My purchase isn't contingent upon those things, but they stand out.

Yeah, to be fair, Infinite does feel like a better package and has a fair bit more going on for it.

I understand why people started to worry about the game but I don't think people should stress themselves out at the moment. Just relax and wait for next reveals before we jump into conclusion about certain characters not being part of the base roster. :)

Just believe!

Remember what I said earlier about becoming toxic if Venom turns out to not be in?

Well... yeah.

We should wait and see next reveals before we jump into conclusion. They probably knew in advance that the characters aren't suppose to be reveal yet. Maybe Dormammu and Firebrand were planned to reveal early but decided to put on hold or something like that.

That's why we haven't seen Ghost Rider, Hunter and Venom on the covers yet.

If its still 34 who do we have besides Venom? Ghost Rider and Winter Soldier? Ant Man?

I can't think of a worse decision than to make Venom an NPC Boss...its...its just unfathomable. You're literally saying you could fully well make the number one most wanted non-xmen character playable but are choosing not to so you can sell him as DLC later. And in a way RUBBING IT IN
