Not accurate. Destroy the boxes before they hit the ground and it's 100% a golden egg. If it hits the ground it's 100% an enemy.
I stand corrected, I hadn't noticed this detail, but that explains much... Thanks (makes things even easier, I'd say)

Was pretty hilarious when I was first playing the mode seeing people have NO idea what to do against Grillers lol
I hate these things... Especially when they're not alone. Best way to miss a quota, I'd say.

But there's still people that miss the fact that the fluorescent pinky thing is the weak point in basically half the games? ^_^

Wondering if anyone has done the math on the Splatfest tee, aka is it more time/cost efficient to just scrub after you get the first ability, or to wait until all three before scrubbing? Because the first is so quick to get compared to others. Obviously it costs more, but... wondering what the perfect balance is. Maybe scrubbing after two?

Like much of salmon run. The biggest difficulty with grillers is the lack of communication. The most success I have against grillers is when they target me instead of my allies. Then I can lead them to the low ground, giving every perfect shots at their weakpoints.

WOW WHAT THE FUCK

two man team in salmon run. TWO fucking disconnected and they give us the FUCKING ROLLER AND INK BRUSH

THEY MADE ME LOSE RANK FOR LOSING THAT MATCH??????

If you push - (minus) in Grizzco you can bring up the manual to learn about all of the special waves (that aren't covered in the tutorial).

Please all newbies, read the manual! It helped me out big time so I didn't wipe the team the first time I saw a Griller, I knew just what to do! (Lead it away if it is targeting you.)

I would guess maybe you're not using the same account, or they aren't linked? Maybe there's a delay, I'm not sure.

I just don't see how I wouldn't be linked, everything looks fine just no points. That's why I wondered if I should see the game in purchase history in the shop for re download or it won't show because I have it installed and or it was a code not purchase? Might just call support on Monday. Enjoying the game for now.

How the fuck did you rank up in this shitty loadout

Simply put: Become a god.

Real answer:
If you've got the Heavy Splatling, forget egg running and shoot -everything-.
If you've got the Splat Roller, concentrate on thinning out the mob and keeping paths clear of green ink.
If you've got the Blaster, focus on whatever you want but remember to aim. Missed shots can be fatal.
If you've got the Inkbrush, I'm very sorry. :(

Well I do know that installed games do not show up for re-download in the eShop. You only see stuff that's not currently installed on the Switch.

You will also still get points for stuff redeemed with a code. I bought ARMS via code from Amazon and I still got points.

I would guess that there's just a 12-24 hour delay in the points showing up on My Nintendo. Definitely call if you don't see anything by Monday though.

I haven't done the math but it has to be more efficient to just scrub after the first ability if you are going for max chunks, going up to two is way more time consuming and three is right out. 2k is so low that I'm still making a little money even with doing it this way.

I have no real idea what abilities I want for my character, as long as it isn't bomb defense up it's fine with me. :D

Yeah, think I'm gonna start scrubbing after first ability.

I am sure it has been explained before but I have yet to figure out how to get the goldies to appear on Salmon Run when the fountains show up.

Jumped in front of a charger shot and took the hit so my teammate could get the KO in Rainmaker. I don't think it was necessary, but I felt cool doing it.

Also, fought against a goo tuber for the first time today. That thing is a pain in the right hands. Dude just kept popping out of nowhere and landing full charged shots.

You hit as many of the gushers as you can and hope that you find the one with the goldie in it. Then beat the hell out of him. Rinse and repeat, and hope that he's close enough to your base so you can reach quota.

Thanks. Thats kinda what we have been doing but there just never seem to be enough and the timer runs out and we have only gotten 5-6 eggs.

The main use I found for the inkbrush is to hold ZR and dash in and out of heavy enemy ink. I've gotten quite a few eggs and rescued quite a few people that way. In terms of offense... um yeah.

Went from Profreshional to the bottom of go-getter while getting both superbonuses lol. No matter, I'll get it back during a better loadout (I hope).

You know its a good Salmon Run win when the last round consists entirely of terrified screaming. =P

Aim higher, the Inkbrush can actually fuck grillers up.

I know how to aim. There was 2 targetting me. And a third being a complete bastard elsewhere.

Its only rough because high tide gives you very little space to maneuver. If the tide was out then I usually just use the brush as a courier and trailblazer due to its speed. (Which I think is what they intended when putting it into rotation)

holy hell, so Rainmaker... (stage is Starfish Mainstage)
My team gets splat'd near the start, but they splat one of theirs, and they get it. They push to 36... I come around and splat all three remaining, but then the enemy who was splat'd early one comes and gets me, grabs the Rainmaker, and pushes to win as none of my teammates who had since respawned managed to stop him -_-
That was just embarrassing.

Is there any way to keep the cursor in the middle of the screen instead of bouncing around everywhere when you're hitting walls and stuff?

I swear people care more about k/d ratios in this game,

Not to mention people being greedy in Salmon Run, you don't need to show off by getting the most eggs, just fucking paint the ground so the people with the weapons best suited to killing can do their job, and you know, spread out so we don't all get splatted when a steel eel backs you into a corner, and once you've met the required amount? SURVIVE!. We need more than Booyah and This way, we need a button that says "paint the ground", you've got a roller for goodness sake, make a path for us! Ahhhhhhh!

Was on a Rainmaker 3v4 match. I got the rainmaker and ran it backwards, and the other two people caught on. We just defended against the KO for 5 minutes and survived. That was fun.

Also the red and black "DON'T RETREAT" message is ominous as fuck if you try to run it backwards lol

Thanks, good to know and will do :)

The art style and presentation of this game is simply amazing.

It's better to get it done right away than spend the last 30 seconds when you should be fighting for territory control.

No. Gain control of the middle first. Spawn areas and inbetween when you respawn. If you surrender the middle, you have a hard time reclaiming it and pushing into their half. It gives them a platform from which to attack.

ALWAYS MIDDLE FIRST. SPAWN POINT LATER.

Painting the ground is important with every weapon set, but I feel like this one really emphasized that. If your roller and inkbrush aren't laying down ink, you're not going to survive.

I know a lot of people hate this weapon set, but I really like how you have to use your head and map awareness to win. Was a lot more fun to me than the "EVERYONE'S GOT A MACHINE GUN" one a few days ago.

Maintaining position in highly contested areas is the most important thing in turf wars. As long as people add a little to spawn and close to spawn as the match progresses. And as had been said many times before, you need some free space to get super on your way back. And if none of your team is dying... then you could probably win without spawn inked anyway

Yes, if nobody does it, then you'll have a big problem, but that's rare. Wasting time getting to the front can put you behind with no way to come back.

The thing is, I always push to the middle to apply pressure and nobody makes up, I die and when I re-spawn nothing has been painted on our end, and lo and behold as soon as I clean that mess up, or lack-thereof, we've been backed up to our spawn point because clearly without me front and centre the whole team falls apart like wet paper. I'M BUYING YOU ALL TIME! USE IT!

Inkbrush will ink as fast as you can pull the trigger, spam the hell out of that shit and it's not so bad.

Also ditto everyone else who says ink spawn later. You should only ink spawn as much as necessary to get your special ready by the time you reach mid. The rest can wait until later. You can use it to build special and fill in the blanks when you don't have a safe jump you can make.

If you get to mid early you'll spend the game fighting over mid. If you ignore mid and ink spawn, you spend the game fighting to get out of your spawn, then you lose.

I don't know what they were thinking with this loadout for Salmon Run. It's damn near the worst combination of weapons you can have outside just giving everyone a roller or some shit.

Listen to this man, for he is wise.

It's better to establish territory control early and fill in the blanks later when you respawn.

While I agree with this, I feel like a lot of times this boils down to rush the middle, which isn't necessarily good either.

Use those side routes, people are still letting me go all the way up the right side of Starfish Mainstage, then I can paint a good chunk of their territory or sneak up on them from behind.

Not really. I've had control at the beginning and lost it mid battle so many times. Only 3v4 matches does this actually work when playing with strangers. In my experience, players who rush the center rarely paint the base.

Wrong.

Get to the front asap before the enemy paints half your spawn exit

I just got done losing a match because no one painted our base when they respawned.
