They could add bonus incentives to using different/random weapons instead of forcing it upon you. Rainbow 6 Siege doesnt force me to use certain operators or weapons, instead theres challenges with bonus xp/points to encourage variety.

Plus its not like this is some 50 wave horde mode where using the same weapon would get stale. Its 3-4 waves with lots going on already.

Edit: and if they HAVE to force random weapons on you. At least offer a choice between 2-3 random weapons.

I thought R6S was just PvP? Player interactions give a lot more than PvE ever will. If it has PvE I can't speak on it, so it may do things in a good way that works for it.

For Splatoon I still think what's in place works for the Hoard Mode at present. It's not perfect, and I can see the complaints as legitimate, but having some random to it does good imo. I would be fine with a choice between two weps every wave, but that may slow things down.

All five times, they were clearly out of ink! Probably!
Ah, silly me! I didn't think of that, that's definitely it. Nobody would just forget the forced tutorial's teaching so fast.

I sort of felt bad killing this Aero seven times in a row in Turf War right from his spawn. But he had '97 in his username, and I kind of just figured a 19/20 year old would stop approaching someone that out ranges him from the exact same path after the second/third time lol.

increase range of all weapons but tri slosher

Lol

Jet Squelcher, Splattershot Pro, Firefin Splat Charger, Duallie Squelchers, regular Slosher.

There, five weapons that are longer ranged and handle Tri-Slosher effectively, they are also all good right now.

Tri-Slosher is good right now because Ink Armor is dumb and because everyone and their mother is using shorter ranged guns, it's not a problem with the bucket itself.

I'm at A- with all modes and finally at the point where I have map stats for every map on the SplatNet app. Might as well share some numbers:

Best map (all modes): Port Mackerel, 69% (71/62/76)
Worst map (all modes): Inkblot Art Academy, 36% (29/38/57)

Best maps (single modes):
1. Port Mackerel, Tower Control (76%)
2. Moray Towers, Splat Zones (75%)
3. Port Mackerel, Splat Zones (71%)

Worst maps (single modes):
1. Inkblot Art Academy, Splat Zones (29%)
2. Sturgeon Shipyard, Rainmaker (32%)
3. The Reef, Rainmaker (33%)

Splat Zones
- Best: Moray Towers (75%)
- Worst: Inkblot Art Academy (29%)

Rainmaker
- Best: Musselforge Fitness (64%)
- Worst: Sturgeon Shipyard (32%)

Tower Control
- Best: Port Mackerel (76%)
- Worst: Musselforge Fitness (41%)

Sample sizes probably aren't significant enough just yet for these numbers to be meaningful, as some of them were entirely swung by lengthy slumps or streaks in single two-hour blocks, and of course they are affected by what rank I was at when I played them heavily. I'm not sure what the threshold is for numbers to show up at all. But the broader trends accurately reflect how the maps felt as I played them: Mackerel good, Inkblot bad. I play Jet Squelcher most of the time, and it's just an amazing fit for Port Mackerel with all its long, straight corridors and narrow chokes. Tower Control there was one minute-long blowout after another.

R6 Siege has a PvE mode called Terrorist Hunt which can be played co-op. The game also has daily/weekly challenges to promote playing with operators/weapons/gadgets you normally wouldn't.

Nintendo is gonna have to figure something out. Its a blast when you have decent weapons but that one wave where you get a crap weapon totally brings the enjoyment to a standstill. Salmon Runs fun but Im already starting to get bored with it for that reason.

Have a toggle for 2 weapons before each wave. If someone doesnt pick just make a random choice for them. This can be done during the timeframe you get called back to base and the next wave starts.

They don't even need to do that. There are plenty of weapons already in the game that outrange slosher but are being ignored because of other shortcomings. Fix those.

The post was a joke, I don't think all weapons should have a range increase, but I stand by my opinion that the tri slosher needs adjusting. Fast rate, high damage, wide aoe cone, solid range... but I guess I see them all over the place because of ink armor. Yes there are counter weapons, never said there wasn't. It feels imbalanced regardless of those options.

Dear god salmon run gets crazy higher up. We cleared two waves while all four of use died at the last second. Good thing the game is forgiving for that.

Surprised I managed to stay ahead of hours worked in that same timespan so far.

Gotta get those chunks.

It really is utter bullshit that I lose rank in salmon run because someone got disconnected. Seriously, piss off splatoon. 2 games in a row.

tri slosher quickly got my into B ranking for Tower control and beyond.
Thanks trusty bucket

I hate the "find the Goldie" waves on this map when the tide is low. Too much area to cover.

yeah. find the goldie is probably my least favorite wave in general

I'll be there; you're already in my friend's list. Are we going to use Discord?
I'll be on the discord server for this game, yeah, from the first page of this thread.

I might even try the Online app. My brother should be there too. So I need 1 more

I need boy inklings to have a legit pants option so I can pair double monk strap shoes with something and not look ridiculous.

They need to change Ink Armor to allow chargers and maybe other weapons to pierce it.

Yesterday, I walked up to a sniper with a Splattershot Pro with Ink Armor active, took a full charge straight to the head, shrugged it off, and splatted him in response. Seems unfair to charger players in particular. I know from playing regular Slosher, Ink Armor is like the worst thing ever for a slower TTK weapon. Same with standard Blasters. But the charger thing feels particularly unfair, since they're literally doing 160.0 damage at a full charge. They should change it where (if Damage - 30 > 100 ) then you get splatted.

It could create an interesting dynamic where Ink Armor is still helpful in general, but the glowing eyes create a hard counter to it with chargers picking them off.

If I buy the food from Crusty Sean, how long does the increased stuff last, like the battle experience gain and battle cash increase? Is it just for a day? or a certain amount of matches

20 battles, you get a counter on the top right of the screen, next to your snails counter.

Yeah 20 battles, doesn't go away until you do all 20 or overwrite with another buff.

*looks at weapons* Yeah this Salmon Run shouldn't be too bad

*5 straight wipes*

Getting a lot of double special waves though: High Tide/Griller, Fog/High Tide

Good SR games just now. Got 1200 points, not too many wipes, only one time where we couldn't make it to round 3. A lot more people are learning when to pull back and just play lame once you've hit your quota. Extra golden eggs is nice, but not if it risks a wipe.

Managed to get something like 20k gold out of it, a bunch of drink tickets, at least two double battle cash tickets, and the new exclusive hat. Even has Ink Recovery up on it to boot.

I don't mind wave 3 wipes in profreshional. You don't lose any pay grade after all so the more eggs the better.

I really like Salmon Run

Not sure what the Eggs are used for, though.

EDIT: Oh, and I guess I got the game, beat World 1 in Single Player, got to Level 4 in Multiplayer and chose Ketchup

You basically want it to be completely different and back to the previous bubble shield which it never will be. The entire point is that it allows the user to tank a kill shot. It doesn't matter what weapon you use against it

I went from 200% in Salmon run to 145% and to 175% again. Some people have no freaking clue what they are doing. Don't desperately go for the golden egg that's over threshold already and revive the 3 dead people right next to you instead ffs.

Also why the flying fuck are the brand names different in german than in english?!! I can't even look up what abilities the brands favor... Fuck thiiiis...

Charger main here. I basically have to go hide if someone with ink armor up sees me. Forget it if there's more than 1, that's guaranteed dead. I think piercing would be an overcorrection though; perhaps if chargers pushed them back, like how bubbler used to work with everything.

Judging by his dialogue, I think Mr. Grizz just wants to eat them.

High tide on Profreshional might be the survival horror level of the year.

I like this idea a lot more than piercing.

I kind of think that in most instances if a charger has someone in their face they have already made a tactical error by staying in one spot too long or choosing a bad vantage point and should have a reasonable expectation of dying but I'm no expert.

This plus night time and fog is terrifying, haha!

Check the drink menu at Crusty Sean's. It should have them for you.

Edit: Why is today the day people decided they want to try and play charger in Splat Zones? Thank you for your 1 kill over 4 minutes!
