Never. Because there's licensed shit thats been removed from the game like the Attack on Titan stuff that you can't buy if you don't already own it. Also, theres like probably over a thousand dollars in costume DLC for that game.
 
I wish they could half the input lag for SSFV if it happens. I'll take that over arcade mode any day. It will never happen though due to UE4 right?

Then get ready to be mad that most of the costumes aren't apart of it. (I could see them adding the ones that you can buy with fight money but not the premium ones).

Capcom said they are going to release the game on arcades this year, so they need to make an arcade mode for it. They also mentioned they know what are the main player requests and that are working on them, as they did with many things they implemented since launch and that many players requested.

I datamined the game during the first PC betas and just after launch, and as I remember posted back then in GAF when trying to discover new characters, these modes were already mentioned in-game. In the most recent updates as mentioned by x-kira they added more arcade mode related content to the build, something it can be double checked easily by anyone. It also was mentioned by a leak that properly guessed other stuff.

So even if arcade mode isn't oficially confirmed, it's almost 100% sure that is coming. I think we won't need to wait until 2018 to play it.

I don't think costumes were ever included in a SFIV revision outside of the final USFIV release on PS4.

The best you can hope for is season 1 and 2 characters coming with the package for $60. All other dlc will still be paid the same way.

I think that is true, you certainly didn't get anything if you upgraded.

edit: even the PS4 version doesn't include all the costumes as it's missing the horror packs

I could see them throwing in the Battle Outfits (since the Original 16 now have a bundle for them along with a bundle for each season's characters).

If a certain someone is to be believed, S3 will launch with Arcade Mode, Extra Battle mode, buffed V-Reversals, V-Cancels, CA select, balance changes focused around defense, and, of course, Sagat.

Any specifics on new defensive options, or just a general statement that they will be worked into the game through just tweaking existing things?

V-Cancels...as in FADCs?

I thought I survived this nightmare, but now it's back.
 
If V-Cancels exists they probably just allow you burn V-gauge to extend a combo. I'm thinking something like Kinetic Advance in Rising Thunder. Choosing between V-Reversal and V-Cancel might be one of the choices you make when selecting a "V-Mode" if that leak is to believed.

More like Roman Cancels, I would guess. The combo potential could be great depending on the character, so maybe it would cost more than one bar of V-Gauge.

Maybe different characters can have different types of cancels somehow? Like how they have different reversals.
 
If they were trying to make it an offensive counterpart to V-Reversals they could do some stuff like only allowing you move forward with it and/or not allowing cancels on block.
 
I hope this is true. I'll pony up depending on how they rework it.

Hell I even want to try Abigail as stupid as he looks he seems to play great. Capcom is pretty good at second iterations being turnt up.

Like I understand SFV has problems. I understand it hypercorrected for the mistakes of SFIV and now needs more defensive options and allow for more executional virtuosity.

But the answer is NOT make it more like SFIV and bring back FADCs by another name. Let SFIV be SFIV. That game ain't going nowhere.

You wanna bring some hype shit back? Bring back 3S juggles.
