New SFV Datamined Information...Arcade Mode maybe found?

It's not the same. You're looking at this from the perspective of these modes just being functions to fulfill a base request. Without the structure and experience intact it isn't the same.

I don't want to program every single player match. I want to pick a character, press start, and have the game take care of the rest. Like my own personal Vs CPU butler - that stalwart Alfred who has been at my side since the days of SF2 on Super Nintendo. It's not that much to ask.
What?

I never said this was some kind of replacement for Arcade, guys. I was responding to a line that literally said "you can't practice against the AI". That's all.

Every Street Fighter had been present in arcades for 30 years, and then these same people crying for arcade mode let arcades die.

Fucking lol

It's not like the video game business shifted to online play or anything, nope. The damn casuals wanting arcade mode on the console ports killed arcades!

Y'all need to stop ignoring the real issue: Capcom got lazy and didn't bother to put a simple mode just to cut corners on a rushed release. Don't blame this one on the consumer.

Overwatch is doing pretty well.

True but it's also the first game in it's own series, how many street fighter games have come out with an arcade mode? nearly all of them.

But imagine if halo 6 comes out and it's just online play and spartan ops? it's half a game.

I'm guessing you'd get 1k max on an imaginary arcade mode. Why would they give you an easy way to grind FM outside of missions?

You get 5 - 6K just for playing 10 seconds on a different stage in SP or online. The rate of FM you get for what is terribly inconsistent.

They're finally gonna bring Arcade mode and you think it's gonna be 1K max? That's not a welcoming way to introduce it into the game. Cinematic Story gives you 30K on Normal and 50K for Extra, for a combined 80K, and that mode isn't a grind at all. Cutscenes just make it feel way longer.

Maybe 10K per character seems high but it's the least they could do for making us wait this long.

The worst part about survival is that it's too high stakes. Time/Potential Time Wasted vs. Currency Earned. Even on normal survival I've had the AI go nuts on the last battle 2-3 times in a row. And you're just fucked and all your time is wasted. You can't practice against the AI, you can't get better against the AI, you can't even learn cheese strats. You're bounced out and have to start over. It fucking sucks.

It would be different if you didn't have to fight so many opponents but hell survival is 100 fucking fights? And the AI can just go god mode anywhere between fight 80 to 100? It's insane. The number of fights, or the difficulty curve, or the mechanics need to be seriously re-worked. The biggest change I would like to see is being about to continue survival for a smaller reward even if you lose. Like drop the FM to 100 or something. Just give people a chance to learn the ridiculous AI or feel some sense of accomplishment.

The way survival is now it's just not worth playing.

Arcade would be a completely different experience. You'd get to continue after losses, you'd have brief narrative moments, a reward in a short story-style ending and the feeling of accomplishment from being able to complete a goddamn mode. It could track scores and times so you'd have a reason to replay it. It would absolutely add value to the total package.

You can learn the AI. I haven't lost during Normal Survival in ages.

I'm guessing you'd get 1k max on an imaginary arcade mode. Why would they give you an easy way to grind FM outside of missions?

They just gave new set of trials for everybody so people could get more FM. Don't get why Capcom wouldn't give FM from arcade mode. Each character clear should give 1-2k and some exp on top of that. Higher difficulties could give you more FM.

1k for arcade mode on easy, maybe. They'll undoubtedly have different difficulty levels and you'll get differing amounts of fight money for playing through each.

Would be a constant source of fight money for players since by the time this comes out, we'd be around 30 characters.

Can't wait to hear people complain about how they have to grind through arcade mode for fight money. lol

I predict Arcade to mode to only give FM for each character the first time you clear it, same as Survival mode.

After that, you play it just for the sake of playing it.

You get like 3k each just for watching each character demo and strategy video.

Arcade Mode and Extra Battle WILL be a good way to earn FM but you're looking at only earning the payout once per character and maybe per difficulty.

I figure it'll be the latter. As long as it isn't an absurd number of matches, I can see myself clearing it with everyone multiple times for the FM.

"It's the least they could do"

Boy you really don't know businesses at all, do you

That's like once a week though, not each time you load it up.

Hmm, if you were to buy the base game, this and the season 2 character pass you'd pay almost exactly what the Deluxe edition costs. (One cent difference)
The best deal was still the deal that was active a few weeks ago, 40$ for the Deluxe Edition (Base game + S1 pass + S2 pass)

Why would it have a mode it doesn't need
After the crappy story modes it has for all those characters it would had been preferable to have 8-10 matches with 2 rounds each with harder difficulties than 2-4 hilariously easy single fights that you can get through under 5-8 minutes or so.

It doesn't, and are you sure that's not a deal of some sort? The base game isn't supposed to include Season Pass by default.

It's been that way since January so I think it's a permanent change. Browsing on the PSPrices site it seems to be the same for most European. No idea why they didn't make a bigger deal of promoting it; the game was on sale for £15 with all Season 1 characters included last month.

SFV is $40 in the US PS Store and doesn't include the Season 1 characters. European PS Store gets better deals confirmed.

Sure. Or if not it also can be like story mode, without considering the selected character: you only receive FM the first time you clear in each difficulty mode.

But it doesn't make sense to assume they will allow you to get unlimited FM in an offline, non timed mode.

Spanish (EU) store:
-SFV game 40€
-SFV 2017 Deluxe Edition (game + character season 1 & 2 pass) 60€
-Character Season 1 Pass 20€
-Character Season 2 Pass 30€
-Original characters Battle Costume 1 Pack 30€
-SFV Capcom Pro Tour 2017 pack 25€

I wonder how much Fight Money we would able to get from Arcade Mode and Extra Mode?

I'm guessing: 2K on Easy, 3K on Medium, 5K on Hard. One time for each character on each difficulty. Current cast through season 2 would net you 270,000 FM+ bonuses for leveling the characters up, which is about enough to buy half a season of characters.

wish they could let you pick and choose from available characters but i suppose that cuts into their profit margin
A character is $6. You're getting 6 characters here for less than the price of two. There isn't any profit margin to cut into at that price.

If you were to get the base game and Season 1. You would get enough FM from completing the different modes to get all of the available characters. I think you could probably do it by just using the FM from the Season 1 characters.

That 40€ looks the same as the UK, then; includes the Season 1 characters by default.

It's ten bucks. You could spend $30 season pass ordinarily, $6 per character, or grind out a lot of survival. I say eat it and save FM for stages and costumes lol.

So when's the video with all the datamined stuff?

There was a video of Kira going through the stuff, but someone said that's not a surefire way to tell if he's bugging or not. To be fair, though, the arcade stuff is findable by other people, so maybe he's correct. Or half correct.
