Guess you're right about that. Doesn't seem like a huge deal to me. Of course I'm not the one that leaked it though and all that corporate lingo flew over my head.

The biggest issue is that numbers change. Sponsorships can reference the video now and fuck over a deal. It's bad.

Looking at the launch roster in a vacuum I'd say the marvel side is a fairly solid list of 15 mcu/mcu eligible characters and that the capcom side is a weird mix of the obvious classics and some cool niche characters with a few 🤔 Exceptions who we'd expect to see as dlc.
It's when you remove the vacuum and compare to mvc3 and the rest of the vs series that the roster becomes a bigger problem.

I'd be good with Urien in Marvel. I do like his suit more than his classic look though (don't hurt me) I guess he could fight in the suit, but lose it if he uses one of his hyper combos.

I'd only really like Bison more for the story/dialogue/etc. rather than how he plays.
Though I do like his psycho punisher move. I did like the weird clone teleport he does in the old MVC games too

Im a huge taskmaster fan, i already knew he wouldn't make it in the base. My only hope is that spiderman gets the spidey swing buttons taskmaster had. Does any one know if its either to perform spidey swing in this game btw?

I wonder if non-Megaman X series Megaman characters will have a shot at DLC. I think they kept everything in that for the story to keep everything from getting too complicated.

I do see them adding Tron though probably
Once you start passing 3-4 slots depending on the size and variety of the roster. You end up in "why not just make a Fighter out of said group". The only real exception is Xmen since they can be pretty standalone and they did have their own Fighter once.

If Kingpin does make it in then his level 3 needs to have him punch the enemy making them keel over, and then light up a cigar as his cronies show up and start beating the shit out of the opponent. When they're done, he throws the cigar away and punches them all the way to the other side of the screen (would work great if it caused a wall bounce)

Main marvel guys (Spiderman, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Daredevil etc.)
X-Men good and bad (Wolverine, Cyclops, Gambit, Sinister, Apocalypse, Storm etc etc)
Street Fighter Characters (Ryu, Ken, Bison, Akuma, Guile etc etc)
Famous Capcom characters (Morrigan, Mega Man, Dante, Redfield, Wesker, Haggar etc ).
And then hold votes for people to decide who the DLC is? That way you'll get all your main guys that the casuals will want to be play as, and you'll get the niche characters that'll excite the fanbase?

The Perlmuter/Fox X-Men beef was apparently in effect for most of this game's development cycle. If X-Men make it in, it'll be as DLC.
