Splatoon 2 |OT2| From Smallfry to FlyFish in 5 Easy Steps!

The beginning was horrible for me: 5 straight losses. Then, after I got to 1800 I started to win. Getting grouped together with bad players is friggin common in this game, once you get out of that bracket you start to win. I think I'm going to play Salmon Run for a while now... I need that sweet money.

What a grind hand a few mirror matches too.
 
I fucking love losing Starfish Mainstage because my teammates ignore me as I scream at them to come back because the enemy is inking our base. Fucking dipshits.
 
Finally Team Creeper King... So many more disconnects than the last Splatfest but at least I've had less mirror matches.

That said, I've been pitted against so many more higher leveled players that it's been ridiculous...
 
I'm still a big newbie (level 8)... what's the best way to spend currency? I bought some clothes and have max leveled them. The only weapons I bought have been dualies. Just keep buying different weapons and getting new clothes and leveling them all up?

Yup, hoarding that stuff is the only way to go until you hit 30, that's when you are going to be able to do more stuff with your $
 
So fucking sick of this game's matchmaking. If they put on one more team with multiple chargers I'm just going to quit. Nintendo needs to fire whatever fucking failure designed this matchmaking because it's the worst garbage I've ever seen.
 
I fucking despise this game and the people who made it for not giving any way to practice weapons except to play online and ruin the game for yourself and everyone else.

You can always test them out in the firing range or load up the practice mode for one of the active maps and run around.

Just curious, how are points awarded at the end of a Splatfest match? I won a match while I was at 90/99 and got 9 points for some reason. I was under the impression that 7 was the maximum... My team had 1910 flight power and the other team had 1950 invisibility power if that makes a difference...
 
Anyone ever have an issue where their switch just stops connecting to their router? Mine won't connect. The router is working fine (27 MB download Speedtest on my phone just now). Right in the middle of a Splatfest.
 
I'm partway through Defender and only lost one match so far. Good job so far Team Flight!

Also I haven't used the bubble blower yet, but it looks incredibly ineffective in Turf War from what I've seen in matches.

Uh... because there are 3 practice dummies in the firing range that move at 3 different speeds? Also, turf war is consequence-free if you want to just practice a weapon.

I don't think I've seen you post a SINGLE even remotely positive or even constructive thing in this thread. Maybe this game just isn't for you. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but I think everyone would probably appreciate a little less negativity in here. Chill out and enjoy the game for what it is, or offer up some constructive criticism and we'll talk it out!

So, the Japanese Splatfest starts next weekend. But now, since the European Splatfest started, I can't find any players anymore, because Nintendo decided I can't play with Japanese people with my Japanese version. Fuckers.

They really need to fix this. Looking forward to next weekend, when I can play like 2 matches in 7 hours again.
 
Shifty Station was changed about a lot more than I was expecting. I just thought they would do minor adjustments but the vertical moving platforms are cool.
 
Having a lot of lobbies where the enemy team will be full, but the game doesn't start, then the enemy team will disappear.

It's like a whole different stage so that's pretty neat new splatfest mechanic to keep.
