Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

It's going to be tough going on media blackout all day tomorrow before I can get my hands on the game Wed. afternoon, but it will be so nice having a huge batch of Destiny content that hasn't been spoiled for me. Feels like it's been quite a awhile since I get to experience the content fresh.

No customization for imported characters, and imports are only available for the platform they originated.

We gonna be fresh af for PC

You only import appearance. No need to import if you want a new face.

They cannot be customized, no.

And no for the second question. It has to be on the same platform the characters were created on.

Welp, that's disappointing.

I'm thinking of going 3 Hunters until the PC version is released and then delete my 2 other Hunters and create a Warlock and a Titan.

Anyone doing 3 of one class at the start?
Negative ghost rider. Lol

I actually enjoyed all three classes so much in the beta I'm not considering any dupes.

So it seems like there is 0 reason to import your character. Why wouldn't you want to see the new customization options?

Also can you share the video where they clarified? I would like to just watch more Destiny 2 info vids

Here you go. Awesome video about a lot of stuff. The import question is in there somewhere.

Interesting. Not sure why anyone would import their characters.

To keep the creation "date" they had on D1.

I'll import my day 1 Hunter, just because I quite like the idea of her always being my Hunter, even if nothing really carries over. It helps that I really don't care much about the character creator in Destiny and will most likely have my helmet always on.
My Titan and Warlock will be new though, can't even remember what they look like.

I enjoyed playing the Titan a lot in the beta but I'm thinking that the initial grind and rush to discover everything in Destiny will be made easier if I had 3 of one class to transfer my best gear between to hit max light.

I won't have as much time as I did when Destiny 1 dropped so I'm trying to be efficient!

ASUUUH DUDES.

We can't? I am happy with all 3 of mine and wouldn't be bummed about not customizing, but it would be disappointing to me if when we import a D1 character face it is locked from further editing.

Though consisting how limited the character creator was it wouldn't take me more than 30 seconds for me to recreate my characters and the tweak of there is anything new in the CC.

I guess each character has a creation date on the login screen if that means anything to you.

So I'm not sure if I should get started early tomorrow, or wait for other people to play. I just have so little time to play I feel like it'd be in my best interest to make sure I can actually play the raid with them then play the campaign with them.

I can't believe the sequel is almost upon us... Insane.

I just wish I was able to take off more than one day. Stupid work event this weekend and I can't afford more right now. Really pisses me off, ha

I'm definitely gonna go with Titan. Putting up a bubble where your worries can safely wash away and your friends can just chill for a few seconds just feels too good.

I still have no idea what class I'm going to start with. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck....

I decided I'm going with my least used class in 1, which was by far the Titan.
Will play all 3 eventually though. Probably go from least played to most played. So Titan>Warlock>Hunter.

not sure if already posted, but interesting interview with Noseworthy about lore / raids and DLC. Seems like the 'content iteration speed' still isnt where they want to be, if I read between the lines..

There were well-documented issues engine-side on Destiny, has the way Destiny 2's been made allowed for easier iteration and content updates?

We've made a bunch of improvements as far as iteration and workflow and pipelines go - we've made it so we've got a better way of providing content.

I can't go into many plans about post-launch content, but we've announced a Season Pass and we have plans for content and where we're headed and we think we can deliver a good stream of content for players once the game is done.

There'll be patches, there'll be events, there'll be expansions. I don't want to say that the problem is solved, but I think we've made some positive steps in the right direction.

We know our players and fanbase want as much content as we can make, as fast as we can make it, and we're going to do our best to try and live up to some of those expectations.

That's a good idea. Titan was my least used in the first game and I really like the Captain America shield.
I guess I've just never been a fan of the titan armor and overall aesthetics.

Let's do it guys! Azys_ reporting in.

Also for my Titan brothers.

I feel like I might go Titan but that's because my two friends are going Hunter and Warlock. I feel like it'd be good to round out the classes even though I prefer Hunter's aesthetic and Warlock's abilities.
