Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

I went straight to the game with no EULA. I think if you accepted the EULA in the beta then you don't have to do it again.

Got into the "game" but since it's not fully downloaded, I'm looking at an install screen that reads 77% with some nice music and game concept art. Don't want to get back in line so I can't exit the game, which I'm almost certain will make the game download faster.

I'm over 15 minutes on XB1. I'm just going to call it since I have to be up early anyway. Hopefully everything will be better when I get home tomorrow at 5.

Hrm all you guys getting the Eula did you download the beta prior? I haven't seen a Eula screen, loading into beta mission now.

Wow, been in line 15 minutes. If someone told me 20 years ago that there are line online as there is in real life i would have called them nuts... 15 minutes, wow.

This is nothing. I waited until 4AM before I could get into an online match for Halo MCC.

OMG it shows how I beat the major activities... a lot of know names.

I got in, and after watching the cutscene before the first mission it booted me.

At least the second queue was short I guess!

... wat? The release date is TOMORROW, not today. No game with a release day of Wednesday has ever released 24h BEFORE official release date. you're completely and utterly wrong.

this. digital is getting "punished" by 1 hour compared to the few who are picking it up an hour early at GS.

They are beneftting by 12+h compared to everyone else who gets their pre-order in the mail tomorrow.

I believe he means games TYPICALLY release on tuesday for retail releases, which means monday night at midnight. Check Destiny 1's release. IIRC it was a Tuesday, because my mates and I played monday night at midnight (couldnt get onto the server till almost 2am tuesday though). So they decided to release this one on a weird day /shrug. Most US complaints are just because of being used to Tues releases. Im working so I dont really have skin in the game.

I played the beta and got the eula screen. Only took 19 minutes!

Really not so bad in the grand scheme of things. You can only prepare so much. There's always things that are gonna happen that are beyond control.

Anyone know if Gamestop has the usual "trade games toward _____ and get ___ bonus credit" for Destiny 2?

Wasn't going to get it after 1 but most of my friends and all my co-workers did.

I think physical proximity to the servers plays a role. There's a reason trading servers are located right next to the stock exchange.

We all clicked instantly, and here we wait.

Physical proximity certainly helps, but that still ties back into "who connected first". People who are closer to the data center, on average, will connect faster, even if they click the button at the "same time". I put "same time" in quotes because everyone who clicked at exactly 9:00 probably only registered with the server within a window of about 500ms, so there's a lot of variance in how fast your packet made it to the server.

Anyone know how to return a digital game on the xbone, between the 15 min wait, short and apparently lackluster campaign and micro transaction gear I think I’m out

The fucking queue doesn't even work properly!
A friend of mine started the game 5 minutes after I did, I'm still in the queue he's already in the game.
What the fuck Bungle, do you not understand how a line works? D:
