Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Patrol is like patrol on steroids, so much to do. This game is awesome! Hit level 10, did a public event and got an exotic engram.

So it feels like I was sent to Titan well before I had a chance to really explore the first area - am I missing anything by moving on with the story or will all these things be still tuned to my level later?

Is there any way to edit my characters face? I just created him and i already hate it lol

was wondering this too, I hate the face I made. I ended up killing multiple high level characters in D1 just to try and make a face I liked (yes I know it doesn't matter, but I'm super self-conscious)

*sad PC guardian reflection on a rain soaked window as he stares into the distance*

The delay is understandable and it will be sooo worth it, but damn, it sucks hard right now.

I just did my first (well second) subclass quest and... Well you know when you pay £90 for a game and wonder if it was worth it? It's so worth it

I'm getting major Halo vibes from the main story. I don't know if it's the cutscene frequency, scripted sequences, constant chatter from the ghost and other characters in the missions, level design, or what, but everything feels more focused than D1, like an actual campaign instead of a bunch of maps thrown together. It's just so good.

I'm loving it and don't know how I'm going to endure the 6 hours until I get off work.

I'd like to know this too. I stopped playing last night after getting the
notice to go to Titan
but there were still adventures and two public events happening. Unsure if I should stay and do those before moving on or just moving on.

did I say Crucible? I'm saying the game seems exactly the same with tiny differences that just feel like DLC adds. And Crucible sucks and always has

Did you play any of it? Crucible isn't the only place where maps were completely changed. Right from the beginning. Also weapon loadouts. And the way supers work. Also that whole new campaign thing.

With the relatively low number of exotics (particularly weapons) that we know of from leaks, this seems like an odd choice. I'm not complaining because they are fun as hell, I'm just worried that it will be way too easy to get all the exotics and nothing will be remotely rare or unique.

I'm not even remotely against this at all. Having the guns when they're useful and fresh vs a prolonged fight against RNG for the sake of artificial scarcity annoyed me to no end. I'm hard pressed to find anyone who benefited from me putting D1 back on the shelf after exhausting the content because I couldn't be bothered to play the gear roulette any longer.

The one thing that is confusing me is how I've gotten two exotics already at lvl 8 and zero purples...

I'm sure there are a few hidden exotics (esp. from the raid), but unless there are a bunch we don't know about then it feels strange to give them out like candy.

Loving the game so far. Itching to get home from work and binge the campaign tonight.

Only complaint , campaign is way to easy. Wish enemies scaled or there was a hard difficulty.
Ah that sucks. I just did a public event where we were swarmed by the Hive and had to stop them performing some ritual. We all died plenty of times. It was pure chaos but it was so fun. I was hoping the campaign would go to that level of crazy. Oh well, saving it for the strikes and raids I guess

It doesn't appear so, sadly. I did the same thing in D1 a ridiculous number of times, man. It doesn't help that the detailed face in the character creator usually looks completely different scaled down in the actual game so I had to play through the first mission like a dozen times to get it exactly the way I liked.

don't question the rng gods when they favor you, who knows what almighty curses may await you later

I had blocked them out of my memory like the traumatic experience they were. Thanks a lot. :p

They got even scarier in ODST.

I got an exotic too. Unless I'm wrong it's a half step exotic since its close your current level and as such isn't even close to end game gear. I think that's what's happening anyway because I equipped mine straight away at lv 5

ASFAIK, the perks are the same no matter when you get them, be it level 1 or level 20.

I got one early on too and it's bonuses were so good for my playstyle that I don't see myself using anything else with that class once I can infuse it. Hope the others are just as cool

Did they remove the hoverbike thingies? I've not dug into it much yet but the maps didn't seem like they would support something like that.

You get them after completing the campaign.

Good to hear that the maps don't REQUIRE them this time around! D1 maps, especially the launch ones, had a lot of long "tunnels" of nothing between the different combat areas where running on foot would be a massive waste of time. Great to hear that the maps are more dense this time around (much like Taken King's area I guess).

This... this sounds... wrong... so so wrong...

I bought it 2 hours before release. Have not kept up with this game untill a couple of days ago or something. Went blind in, first i regretted my purchase. Today I was playing for 6 hours straight.

Fuck this game is good. So addictive. Crucible is amazing, love survival.

It's just bad though, I'm writing my bachelors assignment this semester, this shit is not good for me!!!

Dunno why people think that exotics should be super rare. Raid and Trials weapons/armor are super rare. The only difference between exotics and other items is that you can wear only one thing at the time because they have some neat perks.

Surely it's gonna have crap stats still though? I'd figure whatever lv 30 helmet I get is gonna offer much better protection that the ~57 THE exotic helmet had.

Awesome! Yeah I do kinda prefer what I've seen of it so far. I'm not big on the first environment at all but the earth map in D1 was unappealing to me too so maybe I just hate this planet XD

So I have to loot three fallen or hive supply caches on titan but I have no idea what I'm looking for. It's not the gold regional chest. Anyone got a clue?

This is the other odd thing about it. When you get exotics this early, why would you use anything else?

I got the Hunter chest-piece that makes Arc Strider both more powerful AND last longer... at lvl 8. This is before I got any BLUES, let alone purples. Why the hell would I use any of the other trash gear they give me instead of this for the rest of the game?

I'm all for making exotics accessible and depend less on RNG. But they should require you to complete some difficult quest to get them, not just hand it to you.

Na, you'll just infuse that piece up so it's in line with the rest of your gear or print it from your collection at a higher light (and then infuse it, not sure exactly how infusion works yet).

This just feels like an odd way to do progression... I assumed I wouldn't get any exotics until at least the second half of the game and that most would be from end-game quests and rewards.

I still wish there were better ways to get stuff like Trials gear for PvE focused players. I never got to go to the Lighthouse in D1 because I wasn't good at PvP but I just wanted to see the location because Osiris is my favorite lore character. Plus that gear looked hot
