They need to be rare or legendary scout rifles.
 
Alright Bungie. I finished your campaign even though I couldn't care less about the Traveler or Speaker or 'The Light,' and now I've got one question for you.

Where the fuck is the queen? How many more of these cock-blocking space emperor tyrants do I have to ruin to resume my courtship - you heard the servant lady in the last DLC, the queen was really starting to like me. Thanks for nothing.
 
Sorry if this is a dumb question, Destiny newbie here. How do you get together with randoms in campaign missions and side adventures? I could've swore when I played the first game that randoms would just show up most times. I feel like I'm always alone in 2. Am I being dense here?

I'm gonna say this. When I went back to the tower, after spending so much time there in D1. Thousands of hours that place was home I almost cried.I was prepared to start loving the farm like a new girlfriend a while after your true love was killed in a tragic accident. But then, just when I was ready to love again she came back from the dead

Holy FUCK, the Traveler is so fucked up. Holy hell. Wonder how we'll survive the next incoming baddie with the Traveler looking like this. And that post credits scene! Setting up the Osiris DLC? That thing/ship looked Vex-y. And TOWER JR.!
 
Ayy completed all the quests on Titan and got the
rat king
exotic quest. Will probably try and do it tomorrow.

This game is good man. I've barely touched Crucible too.
 
Lolrip. Accidentally spent 20 legendary frags (not really that many in the scheme of things) "purchasing" a legendary weapon from Tyra. Didn't realize what it was until it was too late.

You can still go back to it, but there's really no reason to because every vendor there is also at the new Tower.

lol, why did Ghaul shout "I'm not letting you get away this time!"
during the fight? Did Bungie have a list of generic big bad quotes written down, and forget that one isn't applicable because he didn't let us get away? He literally just booted us off the tower without ensuring we would die. Didn't even chase after us or anything.

While it's still a weird line regardless, you can't fault the guy for assuming that a multiple thousand foot fall would kill a guardian who no longer has a jump ability to use.

I think it's pretty cool that the triangle ships concept art from Destiny 1/before are actually going to be something (That something I assume is actually The Darkness)


I can't wait for my brother to finish the story, he was always so hyped about these ships and sad they seemingly were never gonna get used.
 
Is it common now to get exotic drops??? I played for the first 3 hours and already got an exotic DERPI sniper rifle... I'm only level 7.

It took me months to get an exotic in D1. O_o

Be careful about dismantling exotics, you never know what you might have got early in the game (I dismantled an Icebreaker in year one D1...I know pain).

You can make low level exotics high level buy infusing them too with trash gear, if you didn't know that already :)
 
So, uh, I leveled up my Nessus reputation twice and got 2 engrams, but when I went to unlock them at the farm they were gone. Am I stupid, or where do I find these?

I don't think THAT's common. The first exotic I saw was a story mission reward. But it does come at a low level.
 
Just finished it. It's not Titanfall 2, Wolfenstein, or Doom level storytelling, but I had a good time. Just seemed weird
the Hunter guy from the vanguard was crackling jokes while the world was about to end.
The music and art direction got me through some of the slower portions of the game.

Also I like Holliday, but does anyone else feel like her line reads come off as super weird sometimes? Like really long pauses and ending on a question? when it doesn't seem like the scene makes sense for that. It's like some of her dialogue was transplanted from a different scene entirely.

Funny, Failsafe is just as bad as Cayde if not worse to me.

Well, I did get mine from a boss in one of the early story missions, but my 2 teammates did not.

Still crazy to me they would give you one so early on.

Trust me, I understand that it lost some allure but this way is infinitely superior to what we went through in year 1 Destiny. Drop rates were atrocious and I ended up not getting some exotics. The other good thing is that there isn't really a stand out weapon yet and all exotics don't have any crazy or incredibly useful perks.

I didn't even know you could more than once, but the zone Engrams should be accessible right on the vendor screen. Go talk to Failsafe?

it's not really like that as far as tiers. Legendary is the highest tier, but exotics are unique and intended to change up your playstyle or be particularly well-suited to certain situations. You can equip one exotic weapon and armor piece each at one time, which changes up what you can put in the rest of your loadout

You were lucky, I have beaten the campaign and am level 20 and have not seen one drop from a boss or anything yet. I have seen a random in the wild get one from a public event though.
 
So that was fun. If you join a strike after someone has left the fireteam, you have to start from the beginning, alone. I couldnt run past a locked door to my FT because I handt killed a boss

I think the characters fit the game perfectly, Gary really surprised me with his depth actually.
