Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

Just finished the nightfall, what blast. I like the timing system and the constant switching of burns, makes things a lot more tactical and interesting.

I never liked Crucible in Destiny 1 and I still dislike it here but why on Earth would Bungie change it to 4 v 4 then never resize the map? Some of these maps are way to big for just 8 people.

Also I'm trying to complete the call to arms milestone, how long is it?

I thought the Nightfall timer was pretty intense when first trying it, but I could understand why they added and the player habits it's meant to eliminate. First time round I think we did it with a few seconds left, after about three or four failures.

Then I ran it again last night with two friends who hadn't done it yet. First attempt we cleared it with 4:20 on the clock. Definitely something that rewards practice and knowledge of the strikes. I'm enjoying that mechanic to be fair.

Ended the weekend with about 48 hours of play time, sitting at 277. Did my milestones FAR too early.

Tempted to make another Hunter so I can just transfer gear back and forth to level up more. Thing is though, with more milestones and activities coming round he corner, I'm wondering if it's worth it.
Dont bother making a new character of the same class, just enjoy the game. You know the gear / levels will be made redundant at some point so why grind through the same shit with the same character? Fuck that.

Yeah that's what I'm think. Come the next reset, I'll be able to push into mid-280's anyway.

Ya, I never like the MP destiny.

Just want the damn achievement lol.

So I'm stuck at 269 and all my 265 gear is saying my base power is too low to infuse with other gear. I've already turned in my milestone quests. They unfortunately got me from 265 to 269 and no higher. What's the best way to level up? I still have nightfall I need to do later.

My Warlock so far:

It's a work in progress :D

Two questions:

Can you replay nightfalls for rewards?

I'm stuck at 282 light I still have to finish the 5 scout rifle MIDA quest step and the rat gun quest, I have exhausted everything and Exotic engrams seem to give me stuff below my light level, what can I do at this point?

Are timers in Nightfalls here to stay?

Because if so this was the last one I did.

We made it on our 3rd attempt, but it was not fun. At all.

It's the most fun I've had with a nightfall in years. It requires constant teamwork and communication. You're required to prioritize specific elements and make sure each person on your team is rocking a balanced loadout.

What do you guys recommend for the Rat King Nightfall when there are 3 Titans. Are particular subclasses we should use?

We tried to burn the boss down with full Sunbreaker supers and full Striker supers at once but at best were only able to get his health down to 33% before we ran out and he moved away. I assume we need to kill him first before he ever moves?

damn, i'd pay a few bucks for a potion like what we got with TTK

I think they know that people are creating new characters right now simply to level up faster, and they want to keep that process as difficult as possible. I just started a second character myself, and I'm not sure if I want to rush through the story again just so I can get a little more light.

Another character. You will be able to do all the milestones once again.

Hitting 265 is not that difficult actually. Lost sectors, PE, adventures, strikes, crucible and basically every activity in the game will drop blues that scale with your max ll and they softcap at 265

The real struggle is to level up after hitting 265-270

I've been trying to avoid anything that has to do with milestones before hitting 265. Don't know how realistic I can keep that up without doing anything but public events.

bright engrams you can use immediately. You want to be a high enough LL(270 or so I believe) when you do your milestone, since they reset on tuesdays.

I've been using this guide:

Yup knew I should have read a guide before going too far. Definitely saving all engrams now and putting off exotic quests till I hit the cap. I have a power 83 exotic already just cuz I couldn't resist opening it when I shouldn't have.

Also got fucked a bit by turning in tokens to the NPCs in each area. Definitely sucks that the "best" way to play is to not open any of your shit early since it changes scale with your level. They could have made the engrams have "levels" as well, by then people in the know would have been disappointed in engrams meaning nothing until they can reach a certain level

Exodus Crash is a ridiculously bad strike. I've done 5/6 of them and that one is by far the worst. The stupid get the lights and the boss are so bad.

When we did it, same thing happened. Coordinated arc supers during arc burn and burned him immediately down to 20-30% then one of our fireteam used a wardcliff coil to burn the rest while he was walking away.

Something strange happens when you burn him quickly at the start. He jumps up then immediately jumps down again w/o needing to dunk that orb. You essentially skip a phase.
