/v/ got one of the directs right and someone there leaked the January switch conference
Does anyone think there will be new announcements here bigger than downloadable eShop games? Because i'm a bit skeptical. Seems like this Direct will only serve the purpose of driving up hype for the holiday.
4chan has a better record than gaf.
Well that would be disappointing.
40 minutes of 3DS games?Arms and amazing 3ds games of course.
I could believe that, but that doesn't seem like enough information for 45 minutes. Where's the 3DS stuff?

Yoshi's Flip Side sounds like a real title the same way Mario Odyssey did. Have a feeling this is legit.sorry lol

I have a feeling it's not.Yoshi's Flip Side sounds like a real title the same way Mario Odyssey did. Have a feeling this is legit.
There's no Pokemon in this list. There's nothing Ultra about this at all.

Well look at the username. Also looking at this leak someone was keeping up with Pete Hines.
What are they going to talk about on the direct for so long then?
Crossing my fingers for thisI wonder if we'll get the ARMS Update launched after the Direct?
Dude this ain't E3!
That "leak" has zero 3DS software featured, contrary to the official announcement of the direct, and it's not enough to fill 45 minutes.Yoshi's Flip Side sounds like a real title the same way Mario Odyssey did. Have a feeling this is legit.
Arms and amazing 3ds games of course.

Sounds like you've given this more thought than I! Thanks for the explanation!Xenoblade 2, Zelda DLC, Yoshi and Kirby, updates for Splatoon or even MK8 Deluxe, third-party games and indies? An out-of-left-field announcement for next year like maybe Animal Crossing. There's plenty for them to focus on as the thread has discussed.
Point being, there isn't anything they can stealth-drop in November that's bigger than Mario. The only thing they could conceivably is Smash, but that'd kill Pokken and ARMS' legs and a two-month hype cycle is too short if it's anything more than a regular port (which would be disappointing and wouldn't help the "Wii U portz!" stigma that's dying down but still somewhat around). There's also already lots of third-party games/partnerships they'd want to push during November too. Skyrim, Rocket League, LA Noire, maybe physical version of Minecraft. And a Switch bundle would make sense too.
People get way too hung up about Odyssey not literally launching during Black Friday week, but for all intents and purposes it is their Black Friday system-selling game. Mario Maker didn't come out in November either but that was pretty much their biggest AAA game in fall 2015 too.
True, the absence of 3DS stuff seems suspect. Guess we'll know in 2 daysThat "leak" has zero 3DS software featured, contrary to the official announcement of the direct, and it's not enough to fill 45 minutes.
There's no way I'm buying Skyrim Switch...
But Fallout 4 Switch... I'd have to get it.
if they put the whole damned thing on the cart that is...
GOD DAMNIT!Bayonetta 1 and 2 & Wonderful 101 (Platinium Collection)
That direct "leak" post is weird. They keep hopping between brief descriptions of what they've seen and copy-paste marketing speak. Seems pretty fake, especially with another Bethesda port before Skyrim comes out. Not that I wouldn't expect FO4 at some point on Switch (if they ever get it better optimized), but they would at least wait until Skyrim launches to announce it.
There's a bunch of online-only games on Switch already.
No Tharja at launch would be a pretty big disappointment. Still, I could honestly see this list happening. Though the lack of 3DS news is a bit suspicious.sorry lol

Why couldn't it have been Zak and Wiki 2?
Yoshi's Flip Side sounds like a real title the same way Mario Odyssey did. Have a feeling this is legit.
There are touch screen only games too. I don't know why Overwatch wouldn't come if constant internet connectivity is the only issue.
The main, and really only, reason that would stop it is getting it running at 60 fps with few sacrifices. If word from Blizzard is that it would take too many visual sacrifices to get it going then it's probably not coming.
Well, the E3 trailer for Yoshi does show him ground pounding to flip the screen...and it says "discover the flip side!" Of course, that doesn't prove it's real.

I don't believe for a second that this pre-TGS Nintendo Direct will go by without a single new announcement from a JP third party developer. That's barely anything for a 45 minute Direct. If these leaks were real they'd have a lot more than that.
