19:00 BST curfew keeps Nile Ranger out of Southend game

Nile Ranger will miss Southend United's League One game against Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday because of a curfew.

The striker, 26, was released from prison in August having served 10 weeks of an eight-month sentence, after admitting online banking fraud.

Ranger has featured in Southend's past two games but manager Phil Brown says his electronic tag will mean he misses the 19:45 BST kick-off in Shropshire.

Man, following the game on the BBC website on the train home. It appears to have late Huddersfield goal written all over it. At this point I'd take a draw against a good Huddersfield side.

This match hasn't made either team look good really. At least our entire defence hasn't looked like Bambi on ice so far. Right now we need to build from the back, not make basic errors and build some confidence. If our defence and midfield can reach a certain level of competence the hope is Hernández and Carroll might actually build a partnership.
