69th Primetime Emmys | Hosted by Stephen Colbert | Sept. 17 8e/5p

Aren't VEEP and Modern Family expected to end soon? That's going to leave a big vacuum for Emmy favorites.

If Atlanta gets shafted next year too, mannn

I'm sure all the jerko old white guys will feel even more terrifying "pressure" to vote for a "black show"

Thats the problem with tv awards. A favorite gets choosen and they get a spot no matter what and a few wins just because. Modern family stopped being funny after Luke and Manny got deep voices

It's almost like awards shows reward things through pure inertia and politicking and are not an accurate measure of the quality of all tv shows

Veep is better than Modern Family though, so

Not sure if they'll air before the Emmys next year but Atlanta and Westworld are back sometime next year, 2018.

Based on the only episode of Atlanta I saw, I enjoyed it. However, comedy is always a hard genre to give an award to. Master of None, Atlanta, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt all have different types of comedic value. It’s much harder to judge it so it really is rather good that it’s voted for than any type of metric system, such as laughs per minute, story, etc.
