Really cannot believe people are lining up for this. The system will be readily available shortly.
Nintendo product and readily available don't go hand and hand.

Well that sucked.
I dropped my the local 24 hour Walmart on the way home.
There were two other people waiting for SNES classics.
Should've been a done deal right? Wrong.
The classics never arrived.
Walmart sez they might get them in tomorrow by 7 or 10 am.
Not even fucking worth it at this point.
If I ever get one, great.
If not, eh...it's $80+tax going right back into my pocket.
EDIT: This is in Florida BTW.
My Amazon one shipped
With a Best buy in-store pickup, once it switches to "Ready for pickup" does that mean they've picked it and put it aside? A bit afraid of Best Buy selling my preorder since they've done it with games before.
walmarts is the worse just called my local store they didnt even know what i was talking about lol
Reading all of these posts about store (blank) has X # of systems available has me thinking, how did people manage the SNES launch back in 1991 with no internet lol
I want two also but I don't want to get murdered35 in stock at my Walmart and I'm like 15th in line. Prob 25 here.
Anyone know if Walmart has a limit? I want two.
Didnt do SNES, but i remember the N64 situation. In order to get one for xmas, I just kept calling places asking when they plan on receiving more. Eventually KB toys store had it and i told my Dad, who went and bought it that day.
In those days, you called or risked your luck going to the mall and going in and out of stores who sold videogames.
You also really weren't dealing with scalpers to the degree we are now.Reading all of these posts about store (blank) has X # of systems available has me thinking, how did people manage the SNES launch back in 1991 with no internet lol
Where in KY? I am in Bowling Green and most stores here only got 8, and this is a big town for the state.i'm in rural kentucky. we have 18 in line right now of 25 units. i'm so glad i came at 10:30 though, for my nerves.
I am not saying I am not one of those crazies, but woah, people lining up for what is basically a ROM machine that is now 25+ year old games. Smh.My local Walmart has 10 people lined up and have 24 in stock. Was tempted to get one at midnight but I have my pre-order at GameStop tomorrow.

I'll be out of here before the guy at the back of the line gets fucked over. That's the plan.I want two also but I don't want to get murdered
Crazy. Im at Meijer and they got 8. Others in line said that Wal Mart only got 8 as well.i'm in boyd county. in ashland the walmart got 35 if i understand correctly. the cannonsburg store got 25.
I honestly wonder how many people lining up are actually planning on keeping it for themselves or giving it as a gift.

Dude at Walmart just walked by and told people in line we couldnt sit on the ground because management will think we have a medical issue, and we cant sit in chairs.
Its getting real over here!

Im 13th in line at Walmart in Phoenix, AZ. Any AZ-GAF wanna come join me? There are spots left. Brickseek says this location is getting 24.
Walmart I'm waiting at got 34, all spots in line are filled now. Got here at 6:30pm and am #2.
Yikes. The Walmart I'm at is awesome. They're letting people use chairs from the store, sit on the floor, stand, whatever. Here is a pic of my chair and N3DS, been chilling and playing Dragon Quest VII all night.

Good lord, those ThinkGeek bundles.Just received my famicom edition from FNAC! Nice! Now the question is do I try to get in line somewhere tomorrow morning for a US edition at retail so I can refund my ThinkGeek bundle when it shows up or just accept the $60 spent on the tetris lamp and mario cantine and not worry about it?
Yep, definitely in that camp of waiting to buy it. Waiting in line while I'm in Wisconsin right now.The power of Nostalgia. You have to admit all the games are damn awesome and still hold up till these day. I would have paid $80 just for the re-issued controllers alone.

People made a lot of money off the NES Classic for doing almost nothing.I am not saying I am not one of those crazies, but woah, people lining up for what is basically a ROM machine that is now 25+ year old games. Smh.
Person that just showed up said WalMart is actually getting over 20 or something. Who the hell knows.that's heinous. this is not a big town either.
If Brickseek is to be believed, why are Targets getting so many of these and everyone else barely getting any? That data Wario64 posted a couple days ago showed many Targets getting over 100.
