Michelle is MJ for the same reason Ned is a fat Asian kid.
Feel free to get over it at any time.
No no no, any time you cast someone who isn't white in a movie, you MUST have some kind of justification for it.
Edit: I should clarify this is sarcasm

yes
yesHas MJ ever had a personality beyond "red hair party girl" and, eventually, "generic girlfriend/wife"? I guess "spunky" and "fiery" and other generic tags?
I mean I like Spider-Man and all but his love interests have always seemed more like accessories than characters. The Ultimate versions are the only ones I ever liked, and they're essentially brand new characters.

Thought we were past the bad MJ takes.
I admit I miss the red hair purley because I find it iconic to the character. I feel like it wasn't there just so they could have a gatcha moment.
As for the character herself I thought she was funny and these characters are often changed a lot so I don't mind if they want to try something different.
Though I still want a sarcastic "face it tiger" at some point dammit.
Alot of homecoming fanboys i see, pls tell me why spidey likes the mixed raced girl in this film again?
I for one love woke MJ.
I like MJ
But I like Flash so much more
He's so hateable it's great
"I'm really happy we didn't lose a kid...BZZZT "FLASH IS WRONG"
"what did we say about using the buzzer for comedic purposes"
I love that part lol
Honestly, the ASM movies - especially the first - set the bar for Spider-Man action in my mind. It was the one thing they did really well.
You don't think The Avengers has legit good action though?
Personally love most of the action sequences in Avengers. I actually really like the Hawkeye vs. Black Widow fight.

That Avengers one-r is awesome
I legit think the Ultron one is better but Whedon starting off with it kinda threw things off for the rest of the movie, Spectre style
The Ultron opening sequence is a nice nod to the first movie's single take action sequence, but is unfortunately marred by some dodgy CGI.
The final battle blows both out of the water in my opinion even if it's heavier on the cuts (I think they're used pretty well in this).

People give Whedon shit for all the "quippiness" of his movies but I really like these battle sequences being mostly devoid of dialogue and just letting the choreography speak for itself.
Tangent over!

So is Flash supposed to become Venom?
That jeremy renner bit is so LOL. #greenscreen. He's the only real thing in those shots and looks like it.
So is Flash supposed to become Venom?
That newscaster deleted scene makes me think someone in production had to be a huge Eric Andre fan
So is Flash supposed to become Venom?
I hope they fired Hannibal from all the sequels
Show up for the red carpet you dope

you gotta get irreversible damage at this party i'm throwin'I hope they fired Hannibal from all the sequels

I was looking forward to finally seeing this and gave up after about an hour of it. It was just so awful. Hated the constant unfunny humor(yes, I know spidey is a wisecracker), that god-awful AI suit, and how they ruined established chracters(mostly flash). I'll take tobey over this any day
Established characters? Flash has never been a big character in these movies. This is his most substantial appearance yet! If you meant as an adaptation from the comics, yeah, sure, but it's not like the previous movies did anything with him beyond generic bully.
I mean isn't evolution of a character good? Who else do you think they ruined in this?Yeah, I meant from comics
Flash Thompson is a jerk who bullies Peter Parker but idolizes Spider-Man. To me that's the essence of the character, not necessarily that he's a sports jock. I like that they tried something new with him while still being true to the character.
He's not going to become Agent Venom in these movies, so the prerequisite of him being a physical specimen is no longer necessary in this iteration of the character.
I feel like if they do Agent Venom ever in the MCU they need to make it a new character. Keep the idea of them being a veteran who lost their legs trying to save their fellow soldiers.

"Can you spit Venom?" - Ned.
I think Ned will be Venom.
So imma ask this for the 100th time
What was changed about MJ with Michelle beyond hair, skin color, and I guess her looks?
Her character behavior is much of the same. Beyond being a wannabe model/actress/party girl, her as an actual character is the same
