Its even more the norm in Paris though...
How do you mean that?
Its even more the norm in Paris though...
Unfortunately this is true. If there was ever a time when gun legislation would have happened it was after sandy hook. And it didn't. Congress stood by and didn't act after 20 kids were killed. They don't care and they won't do shit. Not after 20 kids died, and not over these 50+ people either. No because those in power will interpret the Constitution however they want to keep things the same. The 2nd amendment states that the right to a well-regulated militia "shall not be infringed." Gun nuts take that wording to mean that ANY legislation regarding guns, no matter how sensible, is an infringement on their rights.
It's not. Nice whataboutism though. Its even more the norm in Paris though...
Fuck youIts even more the norm in Paris though...
It will keep rising sadly![]()
You could, but there is so much ammo out there. People stocked up for just such a scenario.
I imagine if one were so inclined they could make their own bullets
Paris already had 247 mass shootings like the US this year alone? It's even more the norm in Paris though...

Could they ban the public from buying ammo but let them keep their guns, as technically, they are still bearing arms?
Also, my mate here in the UK just told me his girlfriends uncle is over there atm and has shrapnel injuries. To say he's in a state is quite the understatement, he got sent home a few minutes ago.
Police in Mesquite, where Paddocks home is being searched, says he did not have a criminal record.
We dont have a lot on Mr. Paddock. He does live here in our city. We have not had any law enforcement contact with him in the past, Quinn Averett, a spokesman for the Mesquite Police Department, said.
In their records, there is no report of any contact with Paddock no calls for service, no arrests, not even a record of a traffic stop.
Mesquite is a quiet city of about 20,000 people, a retirement and golf community with three large casinos that averages about one murder a year, Averett said.
That promo video is fucking despicable...
Its even more the norm in Paris though...
In excess of 50 deceased. Also the number for blood donations

You're absolutely right, but my memory is a little fuzzy, when was the last time 50+ people died in a Paris attack?
The US is such a sick society for continuously allowing this to happen.
Are those only local records?
Oh ok wow the misinformation is rampant. Thanks.
That's a lot of nonsense. People are appalled by this. It's mainstream news all over the world.
There are some posters in this topic really trying to agitate shit and it's not pretty. There are bodies probably still warm and people fighting for their lives and some of you are more concerned about scoring political points or aiming to agitate feelings during a horrible situation.
edit: I wasn't talking about gun control here. I support gun control.
It's even more the norm in Paris though...
I don't understand why this has to be the norm in America
How do you expect it to be stopped? You can make all the laws you want, it isn't going to delete every gun from existence. The simple fact of the matter is that an individual who wants to harm a great number of people and is willing to trade his/her life to do it can do it, with or without guns. You're not going to stop every one of those people, even if you stomp all over the constitution trying to do so. Sure, the US could use better gun control laws but those laws will not stop these incidents.
That said, the US has related problems that do have solutions. The state of mental health care in this country is abysmal.
From what I gather, yes.Are those only local records?
That's bsIts even more the norm in Paris though...
Yes it definitely looks like local records only from that articleAre those only local records?
Ya know I see comments like this all the time and I really think that it is comments that like look like this that do more harm than good. As some one that just falls all over the map on political issues but leans heavily left I would look at a comment like that and think. why would I ever want to try and talk things out with that ignorant fuck and walk away. Which in turn would reinforce your perception and we would both lose.Let me break it down for ya.
50% of the country will be sick with outrage and sadness.
gc
The other 50% will say it's fake news, or the victims deserved it cause they were probably God hating faggots, or it was a Democratic false flag, or muh rights, or now is not the time to talk about gun legislation.
All the evidence points to the fact that these incidents can be stopped and have been in many other countries around the world
What's truly horrifying about these attacks is, how do we even stop them from happening?
Do we ban guns?
Do what Australia did after the Port Arthur shooting. It seems to be working for them. What's truly horrifying about these attacks is, how do we even stop them from happening?
Do we ban guns?
Do we need to improve mental health treatment?
Do we increase surveillance?
Unfortunately it seems these lone wolf type attacks are near impossible to stop
The shooter is white, ergo they will not call him a terrorist. It's repugnant. That footage
It's so upsetting, my thoughts are with everyone involved and their friends and families.
Surely it's too early to say it's 'not a terror attack' though? How could we possibly know at this stage when we don't know the motive?

86 were killed in the Nice attack last year.
