It isn't, even with zero safety concern, general atmosphere in the city and post crisis precautions measures may not make the best destination for a tourism trip(assuming it's a tourism trip).

Basically. That's what happened in Aus. Didn't work 100%, obviously, but most were surrendered.

Every now and again the police will say "Hey guys, it's a surrender weekend. Call us about an unregistered gun on your property and we'll come and take it, no charges (Unless they find it was used in a crime etc)."
 
What in the fuck... Definitely was not expecting to see something like this all over when I woke up.

RIP to all the victims and I hope the remaining injured are ok.

More than likely I'm starting to think the angle will be on mental illness, and this will be the impetus to call for a return to mental health facilities and asylums.

If its for fear of safety..... youll be fine. Even if your flight is like tomorrow Id be hard pressed to imagine all casinos in the area closing down. Perhaps the Mandalay and such but big cities tend to be resilient after mass shootings like this and things will "be back to normal" sooner rather than later.
 
It's too bad we can't sue those in power for negligence when it comes to their refusal to prevent these events by enacting stricter control and regulations.
 
Let’s see if the American populace comes out with the same passion for gun legislation after this horrible tragedy as they had for NFL players peacefully protesting by taking a knee.

So this loon stood on the balcony of his hotel room and shot from a distance at the concert across the street? It looks at least a few hundred metres away according to Google Maps. Mental. That's quite some distance.

Over the next 96 minutes he shot and killed fifteen people including one unborn child and injured thirty-one others; another victim died in hospital and the final victim died from the lingering effects of his wounds in 2001, and his death was ruled a homicide. The incident ended when police reached Whitman and shot him dead.

Before going to the campus Whitman had killed his mother and wife. It has been suggested that his violent impulses, with which he had been struggling for years, were due to a small tumor found in his brain on autopsy.
