All the 8/25 orders shipping before my 8/22 order has me at my computer like

But I'm happy for you guys... really!

EDIT: Finally graduated from Junior Member to Member with this post...! Only took 8 years.

Have you 8/22s checked your status today? My 8/22 order changed to shipped earlier this morning. Still haven't gotten any e-mail confirmation about it hours later, but there is a tracking # on the status page.

Question for the 8/22 orders: Did your orders have 2-day shipping? The 8/25 orders didn't (or at least mine didn't). Wonder if that's the reason the 8/22 orders were shipped out later?

Wal Mart 8-25 pre order here. Got mine in the mail today! delivered! i can''t wait to get home!

It shipped like wed or thurs last week. I live in Alaska too, which usually means everything takes three times as long.

Sheesh. I still need to call Amazon and see what's up. I think almost every video game I've preordered from them in the past 6 months has missed release day.

Got mine today. So cute!

Im looking forward to beat for the first time on this machine: Earthbound, FFVI, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana and Yoshi’s Island.

Son of a bitch. My SNES is a yellowed and purple monstrosity in storage but your Euro version aged gracefully. The EU version looked boring to me as a kid for my canadian purple one,but now I think what an un-necessary redesign. It is the Sorceror's Stone of console redesigns for regions.

Would love an EU SNES mini because it looks so cool.

Yep. I grew up with the US version, but got a Euro mini in addition to a US mini just because I love the look of the Euro/Japanese design.

Can we get euro/JP custom cases for the us versions? I always knew the famicom was different but man the eu had that sleek case also....

i love the NA SNES, not because of the console, but the controller. The concave xy buttons are too nice. Also purple is great.

Finally started FF6 and it’s beena blast so far.

What about Star Ocean and Street Fighter Alpha 2?

Hopefully.

I never expected the Capcom CX4 chips for Mega Man X2 and X3 to be functional or properly emulated on the SNES classic natively, so maybe the S-DD1 is working as well.

This makes me wonder if the ST010 chip from F1 ROC II works, because that is one of my favorite racing games on the SNES.

Mine says "Expedited" shipping but always had a delivery date of this Friday.

My walmart order was cancelled today by customer service, then shipped a few hours later without notice.

It still says delivery tomorrow which seems weird. It has a tracking number but it doesn't show anything yet.

lol walmart.

The SNES Classic will load ROMS that are gzip compressed.

Between this and the semi-haiku they left "to be found" in the code, I think it's pretty much confirmed that NERD had homebrew in mind when coding this thing :)

In a certain way of looking at it, it's like the ultimate dream of "Nintendo should re-release a SNES that lets you play your own digital backups of games" that should never happen, but it did :)

JAP/EU SNES are the only ones. Look at this beauty. US ones were a mistake.

I'm not at home, but I'd take an equally sexy pic of my US version.

You PAL gamers are completely missing on the sweet push-forward reset button that they recreated perfectly in mini form. It's adorable.

As always caveat that I do love the PAL version too.

I'm gonna be sick. I suffer from a rare disorder in which I feel overtly sick and weak when I look at any piece of hardware that can be seen as "boring." It's sad I know, but fortunately the purple beast is there to sooth my aching spirit and give me the 90's 'tude that I require to maintain my health and strength.

As a kid I loves the purple and thought the SNES NA was much edgier and cooler. Not as much now. But remember in 1990, the NA version was far more cutting edge of a design.

I can most definitely say the US SNES has edges alright.

Of all of my current owned consoles. It is the oldest one I still own and in working condition.

While the SNES is my favorite console of all time. I was shocked when I saw the Japanese and European design for the first time a few years ago and wonder why they would redesign it from the sleek and smooth angles to the edged and purple thing it became, and then I remembered the NES was redesigned compared to the Japanese Famicom and just figured it was just one of those things.
