He didn't get banned for an opinion but for simply stating the fact that offensive blackface is not a thing in germany for the vast majority of the population, which I can confirm is 100% accurate.
He even clearly stated that he agrees with the concept of blackface being offensive and still gets banned.

These two posts are cute. For context, it's about China's on going crackdown of Muslims and here you have Resetters losing their minds that China gets away with it while slowly becoming a world power.

I've said before that I'm a Trump supporter in name, however, I do genuinely supports Trump's tougher stance when it comes to opposing China.

You'd think SJW's would side with Trump? Lol, fuck no they didn't.

Once again, still think SJW's are in the long game for equality? They're actually fighting against it.

What happened?

What usually happens, the reason MetaCouncil exist, people in PC Gaming ERA feel there's a lack of moderation in PC Gaming threads on the forum, mostly related to the sheer amount of people being hostile to Steam and thinking EGS is the savior of PC gaming. People coming in just writing ala "Fuck Steam, EGS is here to save us", "What is wrong with competition?" etc. despite being told hundreds of times why EGS (Epic Games Store) is bad for PC gaming.

When there is a repeated trolling and attacks in PC gaming related threads despite members of PC Gaming ERA trying to inform people why EGS is bad, people still keep coming saying Steam is shit and so on and the staff of ERA rarely doess much about it, some people get tired, some people leave, other just snaps.

It's a bit complicated, this has been happening for months, also before EGS became a thing.

TLDR: PC Gaming ERA is not happy with ERA staffs handling and moderation of PC gaming related threads, lots of console gamers chiming in to tell us the open platform of PC gaming is bad for us.

And before anyone here says "Well why don't you just come back in PC gaming threads here on GAF?". I have seen threads here on GAF related to PC gaming, it's the same thing. People are either trolling ,shitposting or simply ignorant or uneducated.

Oh dear, that sounds like quite the clusterfuck.

Pretty much happens with almost every thread no matter where you are, unfortunately. Xbox threads get flooded with anti Xbox bs, PS threads get flooded with anti PS bs etc.

Luckily it's usually the same people so adding them to the ignore list goes a long way in making threads tolerable.

It is. Some of the most prominent PC gaming ERA members have either left, been permed or "duration pending"

And like I also edited in my post, it's the same thing here on GAF, so Im not even bothering joining the discussion.

Just look at the first reply to the Borderlands 3 thread:

Said first post is a terrible shit post, but being in favour of a competitive sphere online stores is a position that must be tolerable. In particular for the developers it is a very favourable situation if they can sell over different store platforms. With Epic only taking 12% royalties (and not taking Unreal engine royalties for games on the store), there is more money left for the developers or potentially lower cost of games for the consumer. Competition keeps the pressure on the store fronts, it prevents monopoly behaviour (e.g. in terms of filtering content) and has a limiting factor on prices. Even if you prefer one store front over the other, it can be beneficial to you if there is more than one.

(Potentially ignorant console player talking here though)

It's basically debunking the same stuff over and over again that gets people annoyed. Speaking from experience as I tried to distance myself more and more from Epic threads since I was just repeating myself with no end in sight.
As for what you said : at the moment the prices are exactly the same as on the Steam Store. The only price reduction (outside of sales) was for Metro and that was only available in the US.
In fact, since Steam lets developers sell keys on third party stores fronts (with Valve taking no cut) like GreenManGaming the prices for games on Steam is most of the times lower.
I don't think anyone is against competition and Steam most definitely doesn't hold a monopoly. The problem is moneyhatting games especially while your storefront is severely lacking features.
For the consumer there are no benefits to using ES. In fact, you are getting a barebones store-front just because a greedy publisher wanted some extra cash in it's pocket.

It's always only been Epic handlign a truckload of cash to publishers and devs, nothing more.

Also:

Why some people hate so much Steam and why to some people only EGS is the salvation when people had previously Ubisoft store and Origin as the 'saviour' contenders previously?

I know this table and can understand why you would prefer only buying on one store, but another store also existing I think can prove a positive in the future. Of course, the actions they take to break into the market can be annoying if you do not like their solution or want everything on one store.

Buying up exclusives to your store is not competition that deserves respect or adoration from consumers. Then again, you are just a self-admitted console game (and I assume you mean you play games only on consoles), so this doesn't matter to you. You just see the PC as another singular platform in which the clients and stores are all the same to the end user. That's not the case for most people who actually game on the PC.

No one is arguing that EGS should not exist or that it can be great to have competition. It's that they are not competing in any respectable way. They are merely throwing money at developers and providing a worse experience and telling customers that it's actually for their own good without justifying it.

Why some people hate so much Steam and why to some people only EGS is the salvation when people had previously Ubisoft store and Origin as the 'saviour' contenders previously?

I credit it to Epic ball washing articles (excuse me, "pieces") on socially progressive game journalist sites telling consumers that, no, they should not actually care about their own experience or dollars, but should instead only care about the developer and publisher's bottom line.

They all hated Steam and Valve anyway for not curating their store and allowing games that did not fit their agenda, so it's an easy target these days.

That's not the point, all the driveby and uneducated "Fuck Steam" posts on ERA and GAF is tiring and annoying.

Explaning 30 times to people why EGS is not competition and why it is bad for PC gaming and suddenly another dozen of "Fuck Steam" or "Good with competition" posts drives people mad.

Y'know, it could simply be a difference of opinion. Some people genuinely think that EGS is good/better for business. Why does that anger you so much?

FFA environments like ours are designed to harden you up and get you out of insular thought bubbles, F fantomena . Stop blaming others for having a different opinion, and blame yourself for being so triggered by it. Personal growth only happens with the latter.

It's not good for consumers, that's what drives people mad. It's only benefitial to the publishers because they got a truckload of money handled to them. EGS sucks for consumers, there is nothing positive about it, it lacks basic features and Epic is paying off pubs and devs to remove games from Steam.

The devs behind Phoenix Point which was a crowdfunded game accepted money from Epic to make the game 1 year exclusive for EGS. The crowd were promised Steam and GOG keys when it released, they broke that promise. The crowd that was the reason the game existed in the first place got fucked over. It was a crowdfunded game.

Metro: Exodus was removed from Steam shortly before official release because they were payed off by Epic. They even used Steam to advertise for the game after the removal. Why? Because EGS does not have any function for devs themself to advertise.

PC gamers don't want walled garden, they don't like third party store exclusives.

Noone complaines about Fortnite being exclusive to EGS because it's a first party game. Noone complains about BF and Battlefront being exclusive to to Origin because it's first party.

Epic are assholes that are ruining what PC gamers values the most: options.

Im not complaing abut different opinions. Im complaining about drivebyes and trolling "Fuck Steam", "Can't wait for the salty tears to flow" and so on.

You can't stop this , fantonema. Do you think Metacouncil could prevent that at all? You'll always face these kind of situations wherever you go.

Disagree. EGS is theoretically great for consumers. It provides developers with more money which could lead to better games and less reliance on MTX to try and earn back a profit. Of course we will have to wait to see if this comes to fruition. Lets check back in 3-4 years. Plus Steam sucked for literal years before it got the QoL improvements that people are so fond of now.

That is less an issue of EGS and more an issue of shitty devs. EGS didn't force them to do it.

If you had preordered on Steam, didn't you get a code for it regardless? I may be misremembering.

You don't speak for all PC gamers. As a PC Gamer, I don't want digital in general - I want physical and I have been fucked over for nearly ten years now because of Steam and other digital store fronts. Where are my options?
