The existence of ES6 inside that list is the biggest headscratcher there. One the one hand, Bethesda (if I remember correctly), showed the first Skyrim gameplay 6 months before it was released, so they could properly reveal it at E3 and have it released in November. On the other hand, Bethesda has stated time and again that ES6 is years away and that Starfield will come first.

So yeah, it seems bullshit because of that single game.

Indeed, but IMO more easy to believe in BF6 because the last one and besides they need to counter recent CoD games if I remember rights both compete against each other, am I right?

oh yeah that's right Guerrilla Games allowed kojima to use the engine didn't they! i'll have to pick it up when it's on sale but it's just made me realise how good the next games will look using that engine.

They didnt just allow kojipro to their use their engine, they allowed them to modify it and commit their changes into the base engine so that any improvements in the pipeline were available for the other team immediately.

whats interesting is the implications of that kind of unparalleled cooperation. it could also mean that any enhancements GG was making for their next gen game were available to kojipro devs right away for their current gen game.

Played Horizon Zero Dawn for a long time and water was the weakpoint of Decima Engine from that period of time. From HZD to DS was a huge jump in water graphics.

At launch water in HZD was really quite bad. Some shader tweaks were added with later patches to make it a bit better, but it's still far from great. I hope (and this should be given, but we'll see) that the collaboration between Guerrilla and Kojima Productions means we'll get the same level of water quality in the inevitable HZD 2.

Anything is possible. I will say the math is a little unusual as is the choice in design if they are only targeting 12TF GCN equivalent. Unless, the GPU is largely based on a GCN 5.0 part , which would work mathematically (as far as die size goes). The only issue there, is why were the dev kits so late if they were using old tech. Timing seems better for them waiting on big/medium navi for the dev kits. But what do I know. LOL

in britain, equivalnet of $30 usd per month will get you gamepass ultimate + xbox 1x + free upgrade to xsx when released. I think it is popular for cash poor gamers.

rock textures look super detailed. geometry and tessellations are usually gpu killer but they somehow got around it.

hellblade does look better but it doesnt have to be cgi.

The processing power isn't the issue. Manpower and efficiencies are.

Also, that gif is shrunk down, slowed down and does not paint an accurate picture of what a game truly looks like on your tv.

There were little strands and minute details and animations which can't show up in a videogame yet in that Senua video. It's pre-rendered. In-engine means nothing if it's manipulated to such an extent.
I'm willing to bet that a lot of what you've seen in the video won't show up in the game and came from a studio like Blur as a form of marketing material.

This is the most realistic launch lineup I've seen so far, outside of TES6, Battlefield (said to skip 2020), and possibly Spider-Man (seems too soon), but those can be easily explained by saying November 15 is a placeholder date. However, why would TES6 be there, but not Starfield, since the latter is supposed to come out first?

It's a much more believable list, but I'm gonna stay skeptical until the reveal event.

I think it's a pretty sound assumption Horizon 2 is either a Launch or Launch window game.
Releasing the original on PC is just a marketing tactic.

I wouldn't be surprised if the trailer for the PC version says "continue Aloys journey in Horizon 2 exclusively on PS5"

definitely, but he didnt do that when he revealed scorpio which was 25% better per flop than the 1.3 tflops gcn 1.0 xbox one. he didnt do that when he said that the cpu was 4x more powerful even though by richard's own tests, the cpu is actually 6.8x more powerful than the jaguar cores. they also said that the ssd is 40x faster than the x1x even though a better comparison would be the base x1 which had a far lower hdd read speed.

it seems phil does draw the line somewhere.

They also said last during E3 at Project Scarlet reveal - "We're seeing more than 40X performance increases over the current generation".... So, yes, X1(S) has to be included in this, not the mid-gen upgrade.

Yes, he said that. But that was a target trailer and a cut-scene. Just wait for gameplay part and see will gameplay section reach target render.

Why buy the PS4 version if you have a PS5? Makes no sense.

Now if you had the PS4 version because you played the game on PS4 then when you migrate to PS5 then you can play it via BC... that is cool.

I expect the PS5 version to be better than the PS4 and the enhanced PS4 BC version.

Enhancement from BC is equal do all games... it is generic enhancements... now a PS5 version is build to take advantage of PS5.
