i bet, at those companies there are 1000 moving parts.

so how you can know everything to the little details? you are just in contact with few persons and trying to Help us. people just have to understand that you are trying to share what you know and should respect that and do not try to cut your eyeballs every time there are some other rumors too. just respect that there are people who are willing to share.

If so, I can't see 0.5tf being enough of a difference to offset the inclusion of RT cores on PS5, personally? The other parts are a bit of a wash, it's all over the place, but yeah.

2013 PS Meeting was announced on the last Wednesday of Jan. If we're getting a meeting in Feb, no better day than tomorrow to announce it. Pleeeeease! :messenger_grimmacing_

Edit: Actually I think it was a Thursday?

Both consoles have hardware based raytracing but we dont know how its achieved. Supposedly AMD solution is not dedicated cores like nvidia.

Back a couple of weeks ago not sure on the timing without looking at my texts my buddy at SIE sent me a text saying he was hearing no Feb big reveal look for a State of Play that shows the box maybe a couple of game demos.

He also said we wont hear about TFs anytime soon as neither company wants to talk TFs because as he said one was 9.5 ish and the other 10.

I even brought it up here several days ago (again do not know exact date without looking at posts) about a State of Play instead of a full reveal how people would feel after I heard that from my buddy.

I had also posted the impact tremor gif a day or two before the official Sony skipping E3 as he told me that day I made that post we would be getting that very info.

So to answer your question a few weeks ago I was firmly in the 12 tf camp but the longer it goes we do not hear about a full reveal the more I am putting faith into my crazy little birdie friend as being right.

What i dont like about what i read from you is the state of play plattform used for partial reveal.
Why?
Ask your source why use this childish attempt?
Is it money?
Is it lack of content?
Lack of confidence?
Is sony delaying launch and just need something for the time being before they can give a propper presentation?

I just thought about this the other day and came to realize we didnt had a gta game this whole generation. The gta 5 remaster does not count at all.
So with this in mind does sony have problems with getting games ready for launch?
Cuz we will have a hell of a gen if games will take forever to be made.

It's gonna be fucking crazy. I think I'm more excited than I was in 2013, because back then, GG and ND werent the developing titans they are today. Obviously SSM did have a massive reputation back then as they do now, but the others have lifted themselves up alongside them (Insomniac too).

Not just creatively but technically too. It seems to me all these devs are super skilled in pushing the technical boundaries so lets see them unleashed on PS5 as baseline spec.
 
What could happen if series X is the last MS console? (I don't believe It)

They could put down the ultimate 16TF console? The all or nothing strategy?

Looking at the graphics side and the Sony side, almost all studios have reached levels close to ND in PS4. In the PS3 generation, ND was above all, say, on Olympus.

Every source is saying the same thing, that RT is much, much better on Ps5. So this intrigues me.

There are other areas, like CPU being better on SX, or GPU better on Ps5, but the numbers are essentially so damn close it won't make a damn bit of difference. The only other unknown thing is the ram situation but that will likely be a wash too. (And as for the SSD I won't even go back into that can of worms. It wont make much difference either.)

So yeah, the RT stuff has me scratching my head whats even going on.

Maybe they will announce the event on state of play? Think about it, at the end of the video, they show the ps5 design, and announce the date for the event. Would be a cool thing to do i guess.

Plus we will probably get a huge GPU and raytracing upgrade mid gen, which is just 3 or so years away.
 
I really don't mind about them showcasing the box and controller on State of Play and then a massive blowout around E3 with a presentation. I care more about the console than a press conference.

Its been 30 minutes and nothing happened. If people are going to make vague teases like this they should specify and if things dont pan out, should get a warning or at least a temporary ban. We're on edge waiting for a morsel of information, lording things over people like you know something and nothing coming from it is in really bad taste.

Not much much better. Just somewhat better. I'd expect the ray-tracing to be rather close between them overall; it's not like MS is a slouch when it comes to creating/co-creating (with Nvidia) ray-tracing solutions on PC.

I mean realistically, can't expect one to have ray-tracing eons ahead or by a wide gulf over the other, knowing what place ray-tracing will have for game developers regardless of platform heading into next-gen and throughout the decade.

Sid is fine but he feels like a poor man's Major Nelson .. will always be in his shadow etc etc.

Jim Ryan will be fine. Just pump him full of chlorpromazine and stick him in front of a teleprompter, just like a normal day at the office. Hope the drugs don't wear off before the end of the conference and him do a Ballmer on us ..

I need to quit.

Brah... Brah... I'm just saying what's been said in all the leaks. It seems to be the most commonly repeated thing said. That's why I'm interested in knowing what's going on, because I don't quite understand it.

I'm still firmly in team SX > PS5. Not by much, not by anything that will ever matter in any sense of the word. That's exactly how I want it, as well, so that both are on par. But god help MS if they price it higher. If they had any sense they would price it lower.

And that's why they should let the games do the marketing, not a sheet. Give me at least a State of Play full of REAL gameplay snipets and I'm sold.
