Won't people just be like "since they released the first one PC the second one will be ported too at some point".
Ps5 exclusives just went from "you NEED a Playstation to play them" to "they might release on PC in a couple of years".

Then again you DO have the people who just can't wait

What if they release HZD on PC now and don't release HZD 2 on PC, ever?
Repeat it with a couple more franchises as well.

I'm no PC gamer, so I'm not the one to ask, but I never knew PC gamers would be inclined to buy a PS5 after playing Horizon 1 on PC.

I'm an Xbox gamer. Hey, if PC gamers can play tons of Xbox games and also get a PC version of Gamepass, more power to ya and have fun.

Don't care that a good PC rig will look better than the Xbox version. Why do I care so much that a PC gamer half way around the world can play the same games as me? It's not like MS pulls the plug on me playing Forza because a PC gamer just logged in and wants to play Forza too.

Wow, who knew digital gaming can have many people on different systems playing. An when you got more games being crossplay, it makes for longer lasting online communities, instead of having MS, Sony and PC lobbies all in silos.

Every online gamer has played some favs where it seems like your platform's online count is dwindling. Wouldnt be great if they all can pool together to keep it alive?

Walled garden gamers say no though.

Horizon was a PS Now game for PC, and is now going to be a standalone purchase. God of War may follow the same path. It's already on PS Now too.

Horizon is being taken down April 7. Then in the summer a standalone game. This may be Sony's strategy going forward. Tease a game on PS Now for a short time, then take it off and sell it on PC.

HZD was released over 3 years ago and while looks amazing, the actual game is average at best so no one cares. Did you get Spiderman, The Last of Us, God of War.. No! Just HZD and DS, the two no one cares about.

DS was just a few months behind ps4 release. Do you get punished or hurt each time a Sony exclusive comes to pc, cause you seem to be taking this a little too personal/serious... What does it matter if it's a few months or years later? More people get to play these games, which benefits Sony's pockets, and the pc gamers. It's a win win scenario, and only the salty Sony fanboys would get triggered by this.

Hey guys. Justin says no-one cares. He took the time from his busy schedule to come us tell us all that no-one cares. He's made it clear in post #411 of this thread. It's on page 9 if you're trying to find it. It's a few posts down from the tweet implying GoW is potentially coming as well.

Its good that whe can play it on more systems, i hope they put every game on pc, i will still buy there consoles and would also buy there games on pc. Whats wrong with that, why are some of you triggered that whe can play it on pc, like why does it matter to you? You can play it on PS and i can play it on PS and pc. Instead of supporting Sony for this some people are crying and some are making fun of it. Really don't understand how a "real gamer" can see this as something negative. Sony just got more respect from me, hope that more of there great games come to pc.

I got it when it launched (Amazon pre-order from I don't know when) and I still haven't opened it up to play it. :/

I'd love to play it on my gaming rig, but damned if I'll re-buy. Fuck that noise! I've only paid for a game twice ONCE before (GTA 4: ps3 and ps4) and i'm not doing it again.

Thats exactly my point of view.

I lost interesting on xbox when they start to release EVERY game on Pc. I have a Pc and I dont need it the console anymore, but when u release just the first game and the next one exclusively on another plataform, maybe u dont wanna wait to to know if it will release on pc... I play all third parties games on Pc, but I have one console (ps4 pro) to play exclusive games.

I guess so. But I don't know how that's better for them than how things were until now.
Up until now it was like "you NEED a playstation to play these games because outside of emulation there's no chance you are getting them on PC".... now they have planted the "it might come to PC" doubt.

But as I said, there's plenty of people that don't want to wait for games (look at all mainly PC players that still buy stuff like GTA or Red Dead on consoles because they want it NOW) so I'd guess they are betting on PC player enjoying Horizon and deciding to grab a Ps5 to play the sequel as soon as possible.

I'm just saying, if I was a PC only player I think this would make me less likely to buy a Ps5. Hell, I mainly played on Ps4 this gen and this make me less hyped for the Ps5 and more hyped about the future of PC

it's weird, I always said Horizon ZD is a mediocre slog that simply regurgitated the Ubisoft open world formula with zero innovation and mediocre gameplay.

back then I people would call me Microsoft fanboy, it seems now I would be a Sony fanboy saying this lol

There's no way to sugarcoat it from the Sony side. A huge reason to invest in the Playstation ecosystem is now available for PC. It seems to random to be the only game slated to make this jump.

I criticized Microsoft for doing this, so I will rightly criticize Sony as well.

On steam? So Sony is now paying a platform premium to another party? Lol, didn't see this coming. Expected a PSN store on PC to be honest. They could have sold 3rd party as they do on PlayStation and differentiate themselves with Sony exclusives.

But this seems to be nothing but an initial carrot to entice a new audience to buy sequels on Sony hardware.

Not all games are optimal on PC though... Going to turn TLOU up to 60 fps with a keyboard and mouse? Better to just chill on the couch and watch it up on the OLED for me.

Shit Pokemon game may be great sitting at a desktop at 60 fps as well.

My point: Why constrain your gaming to one medium...

Except it will do the opposite it sets the president of first party games on PC. Those are the most patient cheapest gamers out there. They will happily wait a couple of years to get it for 3 dollars at the Russian steam store or scam of the week is. Basically trade 60 dollar sales for a 70% of 20 dollars great business move lol.

I agree, finished it recently and it didn't set my hair on fire. Currently playing Days Gone - much better for my taste.

If Sony regularly releases content and a pattern is evident then I agree. But if they do a scattershot release schedule where only some games come and it becomes a guessing game - those wanting comfort may bend the knee.
