I'm not sure if 2 was a joke but the idea of microsoft giving nintendo a 200 million budget to make the most badass zelda game would make me buy an xbox on day one. Though Nintendo developers might not want to work for a 'gaijin' company.... Not gonna happen anyway but it's a nice dream.

Would rather it be Sony and Nintendo. Nintendo owns handheld sales. Sony owns home consoles. They both have great exclusives to help fuel each other. It's a win win.

Here I (incorrectly) thought that Hobbygaming was referencing the power difference from a percentage perspective and not the raw computational flop numbers between the two consoles.

Oh, and jamming the absolutely 9.2 TFlops (most of time) down our collective throats for further clarification was also incredibly helpful.
To think all this time I have been referring to ps5 as a 10+ TFlop machine in discussions; now I feel foolish. At least going forward I can now speak intelligently about ps5 being a 9.2TFlop console with confidence in casual conversation.
Don’t know how that rat bastard Cerny can get away with his bullshit 10.3 claims, lying about SSD speeds. Ugh, I need to stop. Getting all upset that I now know all the truths. How the hell can he look at himself in the mirror and not want to spit on himself is beyond me.

Couldn't agree more. There is going to be a massive difference in graphical quality:

PS4:Xbone diff = ~%40

PS5:XSX diff = ~%18

PS5(hoping the PS5 downclocks to 9.2 Tflops):XSX(@12) diff = 31%

With a 31% difference if the PS5 can't sustain it's clocks. We are looking at a astronomical leap in terms of graphical fidelity. Look at what the Xbox One X achieved with only 6 teraflops:

Was never about the hardware. Reference past 30 years in this industry will tell you that much. Its not hard to understand its always came down to games and services.

PS4 and PS4 Pro are shit tier (build quality and cooling system too) but they continue to sell more because they have compelling software.

Xbox's problem is that they've relied far too much no a few key franchises. They have put huge focus on games now with new studios and expanding existing ones so it remains to be seen how they will cope this coming generation.

The problem Xbox has is that they're going into next gen with the momentum heavily favouring PlayStation and their 100+ million user base.

Funny...that scene is directly from gameplay as a player ability called orbital drop. Additionally Crackdown 3 exploits the sustained 6 Teraflops of the Xbox One X by running at 4K. Please don’t insult the developers that poured their heart and souls in to that game.

Precisely having a weak ass console as the Xbox One it's what made the Xbox brand fail this generation, throwing away all the hardwork and momentum gained with the Xbox and the Xbox 360. After the 360, they were in position to actually be capable to outsell Sony if they didn't fuck it up with the new console, but they did precisely that. Returning to what made the Xbox brand great in the first place is the right thing to do.
